Out of curiosity I just checked the updated availability (Simzac checked for us earlier tonight) and there is no availiablity for Jan. 3rd! The cat 9's are no longer showing up. I guess with so many schools returning to class later than usual, it is a good time for families to get in a quick vacation or add on to their WDW vacation. Sure hope that it will be warm enough to swim!!

Our trip has recently expanded. We are now going down on Dec. 30th to the Gaylord Palms then over to WDW for 3 nights. Then the cruise banana: ) and then back to WDW for a short stay at the Contemporary. i was able to secure a "last minute" tower theme park view room so we figured that would be a great way to end the trip. Yea!!!!

When y'all are checking the current availability for our cruise, what are the parameters you are using (# of adults & kids)? I know when I have checked in the past the availability has been different depending whether I put kids in.

Oh, and we are in 2014 (Cat. 9), though I keep checking the DCL website for my upgrade.

When I check for availability, I just put in 2 adults, figured this would give me the most available at the time. I could be wrong though.

No, I think you are right that that is the way to check -- they must definitely be selling it out.

Like Simzac, I check for 2 adults and then i also check for 2 adults & 2 child, then 2 adults and 1 child. I use a slightly different website but the availability should be about the same.

i need to check the DCL website to see if we are still in our cat 11s. I am sure that we are but you just never know when some Holiday magic will come your way!

I showed it to her, and she said longingly "I wish we could go on another cruise." I pulled a sad face and said "I know, honey, me too."

I was having a snack at Starbucks with DD yesterday while she worked on homework, and I had my December Southern Living magazine. There is an article on DCL in it! I showed it to her, and she said longingly "I wish we could go on another cruise." I pulled a sad face and said "I know, honey, me too."

It is sooooo hard to keep the secret!! I have almost blown it a couple of times. Cant wait to let the cat out of the bag then have to go on a shopping trip b/c my girls outgrow their clothes on a daily basis!!

It is hard to keep the secret but sometimes it is better with my kids. if they know too far in advance then they tend to obsess and it feels like an eternity until the day of the trip arrives. Same way that they feel like December is soooooo loooooonnngggg and they have to wait for Christmas!

DH and I just love to surprise them, they never know what to expect!

Unbelievable, we bought our tickets for the space center months ago online. Purchased not only admission tickets, but tickets for the up close tour. Now the space shuttle mission has been postponed til, you guessed it, January 2nd at the earliest, the very same day we are going to the space center. Now I know they may postpone it again, but with our luck, they will launch that day around noon and our up close tour will be cancelled. This is the only day we can tour the space center as our cruise departs the following morning. On the flip side though, it would be very cool to see the shuttle lauch from up close. So I'm both happy and worrierd at the same time.

Seeing the launch would make up for missing part of the tour, I would think. We haven't seen one yet, but would love to. Maybe it will get bumped to the next day and we can all see the shuttle from the Wonder.

I didn't get full-on seasick, but the motion did make me feel a bit woozy. I remember sitting in the theatre for one of the stage shows -- so strange to feel yourself moving up . . . and down . . . and up . . . and down.
