January 29, 2011 - 7 Day Eastern - WOOHOO!!

Going Home tonight to watch the 2nd half of Harry Potter 6.

We have our tickets for HP7 for Friday afternoon. WOO HOO

I am really excited - I cant wait to see the big finish.

My Harry Potter Joke:

Why did Warner Bros bring out Harry Potter 7 in 2 parts?

Because they couldnt figure out how to bring it out in 3 parts!

:wizard::wizard::wizard::wizard::wizard::wizard:

Husband and son are going Friday night. My son really wanted to go to the 12:00 show but he has to go to school. I will wait for the DVD.

They are watching all the Harry Potter movies this week too. Not sure which one they are watching at this moment.

I was wondering, has anyone clicked on the link for the Navigation for the Eastern Cruise? Did it work ok? I tried and it came up fatal error, I cant remember now what it said.:confused3

Where is everybody on this fine morning? I finally got my computer up and running and no one is on.....:sad2:

I just clicked on it again on my computer this time...had hubby's from work so thought maybe didnt have something on it I needed to open. Anyway would not open and closed my internet explorer...so I guess I will just have to wait til I get on the cruise to see what is going on....

I guess I will enjoy my 1 C then instead of complain it is cold out there. :lmao:

Wish the sun would come out. Haven't seen it in a few days.

Have to go return a Christmas/Cruise dress I bought for my dd last night, she skipped a size from last year so I need bigger who know. Guess I shouldn't buy her clothes unless she is with me. It is just crazy to me that a 10 year old would wear a size 16 dress but can wear size 10-12 pants. :confused3

That is my vent for the day! Clothes sizes are crazy.....

Hi All!

Just posting a quick FE update...We had one more family add on yesterday, bringing us to 19 cabins participating. After we have a final number of cabins, I'll give a breakdown of how many total people and # of kids per cabin. I have a good spreadsheet planned out, just waiting for the close of the list before I post any of the final list :)

To those of you not on the FE list that wish to be, keep in mind the cut off for signing up is rapidly approaching. I decided to close it on December 15 so people had time to make gifts and get stuff planned out before any winter holidays got in the way of making accurate gift counts!

This may be the same exact link, sorry if it is! http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2587210

If this doesn't work, you can go to the main DCL Forum and search for Eastern Navigators, the topic New Eastern Navigators is about the 5th or 6th on the list of results. HTH!

Also, just heard that DCL has decided to allow more than 6 people in the cabanas at Castaway Cay. The price includes 6 people and any additional people are $50 each.

I loved all the pictures I've seen of the cabana's & would LOVE to get one. I am having a hard time justifying the money. Is it really worth it? Any thoughts??? :confused3

I have been reading the discussion on the main board about them and everyone who has had one has said it was well worth it. For us, if we could split the cost we would be more inclined to book.

I am the type that does not want to spend any extra on anything. We don't even do Palo. The food is fine in the dinning room for us. I don't have to cook or clean up.

On Castaway Cay we are happy just to sit on the beach. The kids do their own thing with the clubs. They have plenty to do for them , games etc. I think I heard that there is a splash pad thing there now for them too. So for us personally is not worth it. Plus if it is cooler on that day we won't be staying out there all day. Would you lose your money then ?

What comes with Cabana's? I have seen pictures of it, a hut with table in chairs in side with a hammock outside. Is that it?

Just realized I asked more question to your questions. :lmao:

A quote I found on the main board (I think it is from the Disney web site):

"Each well-appointed cabana is furnished with comfortable seating, a beverage refrigerator, safe, ceiling fan, plush towels and sunscreen. Outside on the patio, luxurious chaise lounge chairs, a freshwater shower, hammock and sailcloth shade are yours to enjoy amid spectacular offshore views. Fresh fruit and snacks are included along with complimentary bottled water and soft drinks. Dedicated beverage service is provided and alcoholic beverage packages are available for purchase onboard at an additional cost.

Additionally, each cabana includes use of snorkeling equipment, floats, sand toys, and one hour of bike rental."

I've also read that they provide a pitcher of some kind of alcoholic drink, drive you in little carts to and from the cabanas and will bring you food from Cookies Too.
