January 29, 2011 - 7 Day Eastern - WOOHOO!!

I ordered mine on ebay from gradysmommy. I thought hers were really cute. Just type in fish extender and she pops up! I had heard about her work on the main board. I think the three pocket ones were $30 and the 4 pocket were $35. She had tons of designs and colors and about 20 pics of different options on the site. I heard back from her within minutes of purchase with her email address to send her what I wanted for colors/mickey heads/names etc. I haven't seen the product yet, but she was so quick to reply and so friendly in email I would recommend her so far!!

I also ordered some embroidered pillow cases from her. Her price was less than what I would pay to buy the pillow cases here and have the names embroidered on at a local shop (of course DC is outrageously expensive so that may not be the case for everyone!!) I am going to drop them off at guest services on the first day with pens and surprise my kids with autographed pillow cases at the end of the cruise. I guess all of the characters will sign the pillow cases over the length of the cruise. I read about this on one of the tips - didn't know they would do this!!

They will sign anything and will get it back to you pretty quickly. What we did last time was I gave them 3 large borders that you put around a picture that is being framed (there is a name for it but I cant think of it) and all the characters signed it. We then put our favourite pictures from the cruise in the frames with teh signatures around the picture....looks great.

Pillow cases are a great idea too!

That is so true. Lots of windmills. He actually is a nuclear operator at Darlington power plant. He keeps our lights , etc on:thumbsup2

We used to live up in Paisley( this is near Walkerton , everyone remembers the water thing) because he worked at the Bruce for many years until transfering down here.

And for our flight, Hubby is still working on that . It will probably be Friday but he doesn't know the flight back. Wonders if we can make it back to the airport and though security by 11:50am on Saturday.

We are going to book that 11:50am flight back as well......I have been told that we should be able to make it without too much concern. There may be a lot of us - maybe we can get work together to share costs

We are in Mississauga. We are spending the night in Buffalo. We are flying Jet Blue on Fri the 28th at 8:48am. We are renting with Alamo too. Are you parking the car or turning it in??? Wonder if we got the same rate LOL We need to find somewhere to stay still as well. Just calling around today. Trying to decide if I should trust my luck with priceline or just book through the hotel. I wan to stay at the Country Inn and Suites.

Hi there!!!! We are turning the car in the morning of the cruise. I got it for $33.60 with code 299851 for an econo. You would return the car to Enterprise in PC and they shuttle you to the Port. Then I got one from Budget for $35. 00 using code X973800.

Really??? That is where we live. You hardly ever meet anyone from here - at least not that still lives here (and you don't still live here!) It seems to be a very transient place. Of course, there are lots of military and government employees here so maybe that is why!:woohoo:

NO WAY!!!! He was in Virgina and Maryland and DC in Aug. He live in Severna Park...is that right? I am Canadian he came to Canada when he was young as his dad died and his mom is Canadian. His dad worked for AA Baltimore Airport. He loves Virgina...took pics of his old house while he was there and couldnt stop talking about it and showing them to everyone......he said it was funny he remembered things.....he is a Redskins fan and got to go to the stadium and walk around...he was like a kid when he came home!!!!

mom2brats....I forgot to ask...where in Mississauga? My dh grew up there..

WOO HOO!!!! Can't wait!!! Hey adventure_woman....There really is a Kalamazoo, we were there last Oct for a hockey tournament....we stayed at the Radisson downtown.....very nice!!!!

thats amazing. Spencer practices his guitar really well as well. We tried him on drums but I found I was fighting him all the time to practice which is NOT fun.

Does he play with school as well?

In our school system, they can start strings in 4th grade and regular band instruments in 5th. He is only in 3d this year and doesn't have any interest in strings, so we will wait until 5th grade. I think he will want to take the drums once he can start with band instruments. His guitar teacher also teaches drums and will sometimes play the drums while he is playing the guitar to help him with rythm/counting!! Although, everything could change in 2 years!!!

It is nice here. We avoided getting stationed here for years and were unhappy when we were told this is where we were coming. Now that we are here, we really like it - so much so that my husband is retiring here and we plan on staying here until the kids leave for college. It is pretty expensive, however, and the traffic can be HORRIBLE. You learn to plan activities around the traffic!!

So where are you originally from?

We dipped near freezing last night and this morning....38 degrees! Makes it nice to remeber we only have 99 days left!!!!!!

Snow has set in here this morning - glad to hear 99 more days!! I can't wait! :cool1:

I work on a few projects with several Canadians. My rule is to NEVER travel to Canada in months that contain an R for precisely that reason!!!

I know we will see the basics - Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Pluto, Goofy, Chip and Dale. I think Peter Pan is onboard as well as Cpt Hook and Cpt Jakc Sparrow for Castaway Cay. Anyone know of any other biggies that make regular appearances? i am making autograph books for my kids.

For Princesses, I am assuming Cinderella, Snow White, Aurora, Belle, does anyone know about Jasmine, Tatianna, Ariel?

I might post this in the main board. I did a "characters on board" search and couldn't find an easy answer - but there seemed to be lots of threads that came up!

Hey there - I thought I would fly an idea out there......We are seriously looking at the Private Cabanas that you can now rent on CC. But the price of $499 is a lot of money. There are 4 of us so we thought if we could find 2 people who wanted to split the cost then that might work as the cost woudl then be $333 for us and $166 for the other 2 people

If you want to learn more about the Cabanas then let me know and I can send you links - but it includes bikes, scuba gear, floaties, hammocks, etc

No rush to decide as we cant book until you are on the cruise itself........let me know if anyone is interested.

Is anyone else looking at the Cabanas? I am not sure why they are going with such a high price point? I thought they were going to be $200-250.

The Cabanas truly look great--the restrictions on 6 regardless of age is not so cool though. (and the price, but the idea of sharing is a great one. Too bad we're 4 people, too. :P):laundy:
