January 29, 2011 - 7 Day Eastern - WOOHOO!!

hi avery and natalie! my daughter is charlotte and she will be 8 in march. she's in 2nd grade and also loves soccer, school and dancing. we'll look for you guys on board!

Hi Charlotte.......we are going to have so much fun. My Mom showed me the list of all the fun things to do - we will be very busy

Hi Avery!!!

This will be my very first cruise but I have been to Disney World before. I am soooooooooooo excited and can't wait. ICE CREAM WHENEVER YOU WANT!!!! AWESOME!!!!!:cheer2:

I love all the same things you do too!!!! What grade are you in?? I am in grade 3.

Hi Natalie - I am in Grade 3. We have been to Disney a few times - I remember our trip in 2009 the most. I got to dance with teh High School Musical people as the picked me out of the audience.

What was your favourite ride at Disney?

 I used to call our family a soap opera sometimes. Hope it gets better for your hubby real soon.

for the longest time I thought it was just my family that had all the drama - now I know its most families.

We decided to add 2 days to our vacation so we could visit my folks - instead of being happy, my parents are mad that we are only staying 2 days.

Hi Whitney - my DD4s name is Elizabeth. I'm excited that there are so many little girls her age too. She is just a magnet to girls when she sees them! She is very much a girly girly and she will probably be wearing her princesses dresses throughout the whole cruise!!

wow lots of little girls, hope there are a few little boys around the same age as my grandson Logun who is 6! I love reading that they are so excited about this cruise and are already making new friends makes me wish I had a little grandaughter to bring as well ! Loguns sister Tori went on the last cruise with us . she is 13, she made good friends she still keeps in touch with to this day. We are paid in full and have booked a couple excursions, plus some alone time at the spa.:cool1:

Hello again!

I introduced myself in post #18, but I haven't checked this thread in months since we weren't positive we'd actually be going... now that we're paid in full I'm saying hi again. :goodvibes

There's an amazing number of 4-year-old girls on this cruise! My DD turns 4 right in the middle of the trip, on Wednesday. I thought I'd put a consolidated list here of the 4-yo girls I found. If you're comfortable having your daughter's name on the list as well, let me know and I can add it. Also, if I missed you let me know if you'd like to be added- I only checked through about the first 15 pages of the thread.

People who mentioned having a 4-yo DD:

heymoonkid (me- DD Whitney)
myolite
Paddle_Nut
binky1
adventure_woman
denas
canadian_mouse
cruisergirly

My dd Annemarie is going to be thrilled. My son will be glad there are other girls so that she will hopefully leave him alone :rotfl2: It has made FE shopping for the little girlds easy because I just find so many little things my daughter will love!

I have also noticed lots of 8 year olds, but mine is a boy and definately doesn't like hanging out with girls (yet, thank goodness). I think there are a few other 7-9 year old boys also?

Beach: Beach and Shop
I asked my dh to go through the excursions and pick something that he thought might interest him. There was one "Tiki Hut Snorkel" in St Maartens that caught his eye. Little bit of both I think. He can sit and relax and I can swim and snorkel. Seems like the best of both worlds:cheer2:

Has anyone done this excursion?

we are just doin the islands tours and the butterfly farm, more of a relaxed pace , that is of course other then the shopping which Im sure I will be full speed ahead!LOL:lmao:

That's what I think we have decided on too.....beach for him, shopping for me.....

just to let everyone know . this cruise is fully booked, its not even listed on the website anymore. Tried to see if I could add another person to my reservation but its a no go! I bet the canadian discount really helped with filling up the ship! Does anyone know if this discount is offered each year? Wish it was over the march break, now that would be a really great deal! Hope theres good deals for rebooking onboard as might just have to book on the fantasy for 2012;)

WOW!!! When I booked my cruise, the cm said that this is the best Canadian discount since she has worked for DCL. I think she said she has been there for 15 yrs but that could just be something I thought I heard...:confused3, so dont quote me. I hope they have something like this again!!!!!!:cloud9:

Yes I heard this is the best discount offered as well. And with the dollar at par it makes it even more attractive to Canadians.

We are doing the butterfly farm too - are you doing it on your own or through disney?

We love our neighbors to the north :). With the large number of Canadians on this cruise, does this mean I will come home from vacation pronouncing my "Os" differently and saying "aye" a lot? :)
