January 29, 2011 - 7 Day Eastern - WOOHOO!!

I have seen that many people have posted that an over the door pocket shoe-organizer is a must. Does anyone know where I might find one of these? I checked Wal-Mart, but had no luck.

I read the slides get really busy. My 9 yr old son is dying to try the slide, he wants to do it right when we get on the ship. :lmao:

I know my boys will be excited to do the same. Do you happen to know how deep the water is where the slide is?

We got ours at Big Lots. What about K-Mart or stores like that? Trying to think what is in PA, only there once a year ago to my cousins outside of Philly.

Not deep at all, I want to say I read 2 feet but I could be wrong. The other family pool is only 4 feet. DS isn't crazy about that, but he's not going to complain. :lmao:

I sent one last time and did it again this time. Cost me $20. to send from Ottawa. It was in our stateroom when we got there. Well worth the money!!

Wonder if I still have time to do this. My FE's are taking up a whole lot more room than I thought. How did you do it???

Thank you! I am going to try Big Lots tomorrow. I was just hoping to save myself some running around if someone knew where I could find one.

Good luck! I know, I've been trying to keep my running around to a minimum too. Ours was $8 & had febreez pads that go in it. Hubby figured that would help since so many people bring air fresheners for the bathrooms.

I think you can find them on Amazon also.

Cant wait for American Idol tonight. Not normally into that show but I love Steve Tyler - he is going to be too funny!

Since we have some new people, maybe we should re-introduce ourselves?? Our thread is a little long to start reading from scratch.

So it is me (Dena), DH (Scott) and three children Luke (8), Annemarie (4) and Jake (10 months). We live near DC. We are travelling with DHs family - parents and sister. We are celebrating anniversaries (15 years for us, 42 for in-laws) and DHs 20 years in the miitary.....it was supposed to be his "retirement" cruise but the economy stinks so he is staying in for another assignment:cool1:

I am soooooo excited for our cruise!!:cool1::cheer2::dancer:party:

For us it is Diana (Mom - 50), Ken (Dad - 49) & Jenni (Daughter - 27). This is for Ken's 50th birthday. Last year we went to Disney World for Mom's 50th :)

My DH (this is Jenni) is also military & is currently in Hawaii because he had to go ahead of me to be at his next duty station in time. So unfortunately he won't be on this cruise :sad1:

And we just found out last week that he's deploying this April. This is his second deployment in less than 2 years. So we were in shock upon hearing that he'd be deploying again so soon. Especially since we were expecting him to be home for another year yet since the unit he was supposed to go to is already deployed. Of course that didn't happen & he has been assigned to this unit instead. I hate not having any control over this, but it's the Army & there's nothing you can do :sad2:

Needless to say, I'm very stressed & need this vacation to take my mind off of the fact that he'll be gone for another year. But at the same time I feel very guilty about going on a cruise when I should be in Hawaii with him, spending as much time with him as possible. I'll be leaving right from the cruise to fly out to be with him though.

My mom told me that she got hers at the Dollar Tree for only $1. I knew it was too good to be true. Of course when I went they didn't have any- it figures! I think I can also handle $8 as it isn't completely out of control.:thumbsup2

This is very addicting!! I should be working on the kids lanyards. I made one, but I still have three to go. I am not a crafty person, but I have to admit the first one turned out pretty good...now for the next 3...

Be Careful Amy - you need to pace yourself with the DIS - its an addiction like no other. Some of us have over 8000 posts!!!

We got one for our trip from Target. You might want to try there. Actually we also saw them at the Dollar Store & they also had pop up hampers:)

I heard they had them at the dollar tree also, but there wasn't one at ours. I did see one at Dollar General but it wasn't as nice as the one we got & it was $12. Hopefully I will have another use for it after the cruise.

Extremely addicting! I'm out of control! :rotfl:
Making your own lanyards! How cool & how do you do that?

Yes you do need a vacation! How stressful! I'm so sorry that your hubby has to be gone that long. I whine when mine is gone for a week on business! :scared1:
