January 28, 2012-do you believe in MAGIC?

Ok, I have been trying to figure this site out. I hope I don't offend any one. This is our 3rd family Disney cruise. I have never seen this board before but have tons of questions.
I want to decorate our door as I have seen MANY beautiful ones in the past. What is the best way to do so? Does anyone here make them and sell them?
What is this fish extender about and how do you find out what rooms are on this board?
I am sure I have tons more questions but that is it for now. LOL!

We received out travel docs yesterday and are so excited!! ; )

Will tendering make things take longer? St. Thomas is where we are getting married and we have someone picking us up at the port.

What is everyone doing for excursions? I have no plans yet! I just contacted Bernard's Tours in St Marrten. In St Thomas we are getting married in the morning then just heading back to the ship. I really cant find anything worth doing there especially in the limited time. We will probably take advantage of the empty pool.

Hi, I have been on two other Disney cruises. The last one we took a friend who never wears anything but shorts. He wears a polo shirt but that is the only thing even kind of dressy. He was not going to go to dinner with us because of the dress code. We mentioned it to our server and she assured him, Disney does not care either way. They just make suggestions. ; ) LOVE DISNEY!!! ; ) You can be yourself and not have to worry about what they think of you.

Is it too early to be looking forward to a January cruise? This will be our third and we can't wait

Ha. I have to say it is never to early to get excited for a Disney cruise. Our first one we had planned for a year and a half. It was for my daughters graduation. ; ) She had a choice and this is what she chose. Ever since, we have been hooked on a cruise for a family vacation. We took Disney the last time and again this time. We don't want to venture out any where else as Disney tends to spoil our handicap son who is now 25. They are so friendly and I just can't say enough about their hospitality and honest cares. LOVE them and seems like since our daughters graduation, we take a family vacation every 3 years. ; ) Something to look forward to as soon as we step off the ship to head home....The NEXT cruise. ; )

I don't know how it works in St Thomas, but we usually don't have any problems with tendering. They have in the past had everyone in the early departures line up in the Buena Vista Theater seats and then taken you down from there. I would look at the Navigator for the first tender time and be there ready to go, you shouldn't have any problems.

You are a step ahead of me, we will probably doing Bernards and haven't even contacted them yet! Did you have to make a deposit? As for St Thomas, we are looking at one of the Disney excursions so that we won't be left behind because of the shorter hours.

Welcome! We always make our door decorations, nothing fancy. I let DD and DS do whatever DCL thing they want, i.e. drawing, and add magnets to it. They are not going with us this time, so I guess that I will have to make my own. I have to get through Christmas first!

You have probably seen the fish extenders hanging on the side of the doors of the cabins, they are fabric with the pockets. I made mine and I am not very crafty. I think that you can order them through a lady on ebay, although I have never done this. As far as what it is for, you sign up and place gifts in the pockets of each stateroom. They can be for the cabin, the kids the adults or however you want to do it. I have seen things from candy, bottles of sauce, small toys, homemade items, laundry bags, etc...If you want to sign up, AngieEstaAqui on this board is in charge and I believe the cutoff is Dec 28. It is a lot of fun, we did our first one last cruise. Also, if you want to get in the cruise mood, there is a webcam at Port Canaveral and you can watch the ship sail out on Saturdays!

Ok, that makes me feel better! Thanks. I got an email back from Bernard this morning saying they have availability on the 31st so I'm I told him I want to book. It's only $40 PP for the group tour so if he says I need to pay now I will.

And the shorter hours in St Thomas are kind of a bummer. We are getting picked up at 9:15 and the ceremony is at 10. I figure we'll be back to the ship by 11:30. After we change and eat lunch it will be at least 12:30 so we would have less than three hours to do anything. I will want to buy a small souvenir from each port so we may get off again if there is shopping within walking distance.

Thank you but I can not post to her because I am new here. That is what frustrates me. I am trying to join in and get involved with this group and this site has so many rules that it is not allowing me to get in contact with anyone to be able to do so...UGH!!

I have also seen a post on another thread here that has a list of passengers for that particular cruise. Does this thread have one?

Thank you so much for your help. ; )

P.S. I did an advanced search of her name and was able to find an email address outside of this site so I did email her. ; ) YAY!!!

I have some news!!!
My DFH and I decided instead of getting married in Texas we are going to get married on cruise! We are getting married on St Thomas!
I am so excited and happy right now!
:dance3::dance3::dance3:

Ya, I am happy for you. On our last cruise we sat above and watched a wedding on the front of the ship. It was great.
I actually am hoping my daughters boyfriend will propose on this cruise.
Positive thinking on my part but we love him and think it would be great to
do so. ; )

Again, congrats....now where's the PARTY!! LOL!

Hi, everyone! I just wanted to post and remind everyone that we agreed upon a Dec. 28th cutoff for the FE so that everyone participating will have ample time to prepare. Many people have accessed the document, and some names have been moved around. Please take a moment to visit the document and make sure all of your information is intact.

Anyone interested in getting in, please do so quickly--we are running out of time!!

tick tick tick....almost a month to go with Christmas and New Years....time is moving. This will be our third cruise (DH 45 DW 47 DD 21 DD 18) super excited. booked the rasul for me and DW and also Palo's for the four of us around sunset on sail out day. We are a bit bummed that our 18 year old will not be able to hang out in the teen club, although she is excited about going to Palo's....

We live in Green Bay, WI and plan on driving down unless there is a killer airfare special. Now all we have to do is farm out the two dogs, funny everyone will watch the cute 6 pound cockapoo but the 80 pound pitbull not so eager (he's a lover and has the cutest high pitched squelly bark) Looks like we are staying in TN on the way down and on the way back, so that should be a nice break from driving.

Hoping to catch a port upgrade but worried as the balconies appeared to be sold out. We have a 9C booked and were assigned a 9C.

Thank you for your assistance in getting me on the list. I am so excited to be able to participate in the fun. :)

The countdown is getting closer as we speak. :cheer2:

Merry Christmas everyone......5 weeks to go...sounds so much better then one month and a week.....Looks like we are leaving WI on the morning of the 25th.....only 1421 short miles in the Routan (what an odd name for a mini-van) Everything is looking good. Still bummed about our 18 year old senior not being in the kids club, but it will be nice to take her to Palo....still trying to find something to rebook.....would love to do Hawaii.....hope the announce the 2013 Magic and Wonder stops soon...

Hi everyone
We were signed up for the FE, but we're going to have to pull out. I just can't commit to the time that it will take to do something nice. I hope I made it before the deadline , if not, please let me know

Holly, I removed your information from the FE document. Sorry to see you go, but I completely understand. I'm feeling the pressure as the time ticks down...excited, but still so much to do!

Hey all! I made my reservations last night online for Park and Cruise. If you reserve online before the 5th they are having a special for $4.99 a day! Normal price is $6.99 a day with reservations and parking at the port is $15 a day! They confirmed on their Facebook page that you just need to have the reservation made and you'll get that price.
