JANUARY 27, 2007 "PAL MICKEY" Western Magic ROLL CALL

Cruising canuck, we have not received our docs yet. I spoke with our TA on wednesday and she told us that Air Canada has sent them out and that we should have them today.

Hopefully we will see them soon!

We still haven't received our documents, yet. I hope they arrive soon because my brother's still need to be mailed to him. Or I guess my parents can just bring them to him. I don't know. He might forget them. He shouldn't need them until after he arrives in Orlando, right?

Two weeks from now I'll be on a plan to Orlando.

Hi Cruising Canuck, Yes, we received our docs earlier in the week. Monday, I think. They were sent by UPS. Did you book with Disney directly?? They are handling all of our arrangements (air, transfers, cruise, etc.) so that might make a difference. I'm sending some pixie dust your way and I'm sure you'll get your docs soon!! :tink: :tink:

UH OH!!! For those of us planning on going to the Reef Club in Cozumel, there are some really bad reviews posted on tripadvisor.com from visits there last week. Ongoing construction, extremely poor beach and bad food seems to be the recurring themes. Making me question whether to cancel or not!?!?! To those of you who booked, PLEASE look at the site and let me knowhat you think......:sad2:

Hi binky, yes we booked directly with DCL, but if they come in the mail, we won't be getting them today as the mail has arrived already. I would hope they would need a signature to receive them. Not going to worry about it unless I don't receive them by this time next week, but thanks for the pixie dust, it should help!! We booked our own flights so that is not a worry, at least.

12 sleeps!! :ccat:

We are having Vanessa's birthday party today she is 5, so it is a mad scramble getting the house cleaned and ready for the next mess about to come. :cake:

OH, NO that isn't good news about the reef club, we will check that out and get back to you.

I am NOT booked for it but was curious so went and read the current reviews. There was only ONE good review (and that was someone from San Juan) and lots of BAD ones. Oh, my! I would sure cancel if I were you!

Funny that we are both in MD and mine have arrived, but not yours. We're still trying to figure out if there is an order scheme for how these are mailed. We know it's not first come, first served because the early bookers were not getting theirs before some of the late bookers. Hard to be pateint, isn;t it!!! LOL

Hope to meet you on the ship!:hourglass

First I thought that the delay with them getting Holly's new Passport number may have delayed the docs, but I don't think that was the reason. If so, what would they do if someone received their Passport the day before the cruise? ;)

It would make sense to me if they sent them last to the Floridians living closest to the port, because we are already here so there is no thought that we might leave our homes a week or two before the cruise. But since some in other states have yet to receive their docs, that theory is out the window also. I honestly don't think they have a system. They have them printed and sent from some other state anyway (not Florida), unless that has changed. I remember that because once my docs had my last name wrong and they had to send me more. :confused3

To the best of my knowledge, my parents haven't received theirs either and they also live in Maryland. I don't think it's alphabetical by last name. My parents would be G and we would be W. Maybe they have a lottery? :rotfl2:

Binky and Cruising,

I looked at tripadvisor.com and frankely I am ready to cancel based on the food poisioning incident. Before I do I would like to come up with a different alternative with you so that we can all still go together. We were looking so forward to hannging out with both of you and your families.

I am ready to cancel also, from most accounts it seems like it is not an enjoyable experience for anyone, don't want to get sick for starters and we don't want to take the chance when we have the chance to change it right now. What do you think? Cut our losses now, even if we don't get the $ back, and try somewhere else, I'd go for that but I agree that we should try to book something together if you still want to.

Would we want to book an DCL excurtion or try for another 'book-it-ourselves'?

Binky and Cruising,

What do you think about Cozumel shore snorkeling & Beach Club Excursion ( I can't find any Reviews though!) it is under Cozumel Shore Snorkeling on the same website.

ok i know this must be simple thing to do, so simple its got me saying ummmm.

the bahama's form we must complete. ok i get name, address, country born country citizen etc...

but date of arrival? section 2? vacation? I don't have a travel agent do i put disney cruise lines?

is this form for CC? if so why would we need this if we are on a disney cruise and visiting their private island?

leave it to me to be confused on completing a small form. at least they could make it darker print, so you can see the boxes you have right in, larger would be good to <G>

Where in proximity to the reef club is this excursion, the pics look nice but that could be deceiving. I will check with DW before I let you know. Was there any DCL excursions that you were interested in?

Binky what do you think?

LOL - The form has changed a bit since my last cruise, BUT . .

Castaway Cay is the only place we visit that is part of the Bahamas, private or not. That is what the form is for. Date of arrival on Castaway Cay will be 02-02-07. Yes, Vacation is the proper selection. The travel agent for those of us who booked direct is Disney Cruise Line. City for TA is Celebration FL (even though the P.O. mailing address is in Lake Buena Vista). Our "hotel" is the Disney Magic.

What throws me and that I so far left blank is intended stay (nights), since we are NOT spending the night at the island (The ship sails before dark). Also, there is not room to print Port Canaveral in the blocks for where we boarded, and I'm not sure how they would abbreviate it. I will wait until check-in or call DCL to find out.

Yeah - Things can be hard to see. I got it filled in okay except that I accidentally checked Canada instead of U.S. for country of residence so blacked it out and checked U.S. Oh, well. They have PLENTY of extra forms at the terminal. :cutie:

my address wouldn't fit in blocks. and something else wouldn't fit but since i don't have it in front of me, i don't remember.

i will finish it later. and thankfully if wrong can redo at terminal during check-in.

on another topic: Are you required to carry your passport on you at all times including on the ship, taking it with you into the ports etc..?

or can once you board put it in the safe and leave there until day we leave?

thanks

You don't have to carry your Passport around onboard. Just put it in the safe. I always carry mine when getting off at any ports though, whether required or not. I feel safer that way in case anything happened.

Another option might be DCL Cozumel Beach Break. Does anyone know anything about this? All the information that I have on the other one is what is on the website. I tried to find out more but couldn't find it anywhere so it would be a gamble. Do you or anyone else have any other ideas. I hate to lose our deposit but don't want food poisioning. Thanks!
