YEEHAA!! We brought the suitcases up from the storage room today!! We are stuck home all weekend with sick kids DD4 has been fighting a fever ALL week!! 13 kids out of her preschool class of 18: eek: Now DS7 has come down with a mild fever as well. Better now then next week!! So we have been busy going through clothes and doing laundry to get ready! Have fun packing and enjoy the count down!! We haven't received our doc's yet, hopefully our TA will call tomarrow ( she tends to be a little slow!)

LOL DisGal520. I sometimes get 3 or even more notifications about a new post in this thread but its for the same post. Sometimes I get no notices at all, some i get soon after posted. Definitely a glitch in the server system on notifications.

But like you I check here everyday and several times a day, so pretty sure I am seeing all the new posts in this thread.

I have not recieved an email notification on this thread for months now. I just started checking daily when I realized that you all were posting away and I had no idea!

Anyway, this is where I stand now. My dining room has now turned into the cruise room. I have piles of clothing all over the table, medications, sun block, night, things hanging from the breakfront...... I am trying to scale down my packing before putting it all in suitcases. I am a definate overpacker.

We got an email from Expedia on Friday telling us that our documents will be here on Monday (tomorrow). I hope this is true because I have heard of several people who have booked through Expedia never getting their documents.

We are almost there!!

I know there is no U.S. Mail delivery tomorrow (MLK day), but UPS probably DOES deliver.

Hey everyone!!! We watched the Magic come into Key West today - I can't believe that next time it will be us pulling into that port! I got our sharpies and pillowcases today for character siggys. I asked my DS11 if he even wanted a pillowcase with character sigs on it and he looked at me as if I grew another head - of course I want another pillowcase with DIsney Characters siggys! So we have 2 pillowcases to turn into guest services - I think I will throw some treats in the bag as well.

I am also going to get a photo mat and have that signed - this will be a gift for my in-laws who can no longer join us on our cruise because of health issues. We are really feeling bad that they can't go with us so we though we would get them a signed matt - we are hoping to get the Captain to sign it too and put a nice photo of our family in it and give it to them as a gift for their anniversary. I know they will love it!

I got my sunscreen today too as well other odds and ends of things we need. Tomorrow I start getting our formal wear outfiots pulled together. Its MLK day so I get the day off school - YEAH!

Our flight gets into Orlando at 4:50pm - today we reserved a rental car to hit Downtown Disney for dinner. Is anyone else staying at the Hyatt the night before our cruise? Also, I know someone here has a son who is close to my son in age (mine is 11). I want them to meet - I am hoping to have someone for my DS to hang with. We are planning to do the meet at 3pm - at least I am anyways. It really depends on the weather too - ig its nice my kids will want to hit the pool.

Also stuck @ home with a sick 3 year old with a fever. I'm packed, DD is packed. I plan on packing for both DS's tomorrow. DH is on his own.

We also have no cruise docs yet. I'm bummed that there is no mail tomorrow but happy to have a day off. Hopefully they will be in the mail Tuesday so we can join everyone doing the document dance

well, finally, after a couple months of "spring like weather", we have a snow day today!! And, since all school buses in all the areas on my way to work have been cancelled, I'm not going to work! I feel a bit like I'm playing hookie, but I like it!!

Plus, it gives me a chance to clean the house today, since our BIL is coming in every day while we're gone to check on the cat and feed him, and we have everyone coming over on Sunday for my early birthday celebration since we'll be away on my actual birthday...

And hopefully, I'll manage to squeeze a little nap in there today too


AND!!! It's only 8 more sleeps til we're on our way to DISNEY!! YAY!!!

Man, I'm realizing there are so many benefits to taking a cruise this time of year. Everything is on clearance or at least on sale. We needed some more luggage and were able to buy around $700 worth of Samsonite for around $250. Of course on the clothes we bought, I think we may have bought more stuff for the cruise than we would have if it wasn't on sale. Today, we start packing our suitcases and take an inventory of anything we may be missing. Hopefully not too much.

I have two tropical shirts but they are too big. With Pal Mickey we go with the flow sometimes. Wish I could sew!!!!

ThePhantomsGirl (Holly), I was just reading through some of the old posts and realized I called you Beth by mistake. I guess I got confused about who's post I was replying to. Sorry about that. Also, I previously forgot to mention your offer to DW about the tropical shirts for her PM, so I just did (yea, I know, typical guy). Anyhow, she was thrilled by your generousity. We have yet to get to the Build-A-Bear store. Maybe we will find time yet before the cruise. Anyway, if your offer still stands, DW doesn't care if the shirt looks baggy on PM, but she does do some sewing. We need to get her machine fixed after the cruise, but if you can manage to squeeze the the shirts into your luggage, she he will give a go at taking them in to fit PM better (after the cruise of course). We can then mail one back to you and pay you for the other if that sounds OK.

hi! I have a ds who will turn 12 on the cruise and one that turns 10 on Tuesday. I am on a bus right now going home to michigan from chicago. one ds had a hockey tournament there this weekend and my other son has a hockey tournament out of town next weekend. ugh! it is the following weekend I really want! I hope I get packed in time.

Does anyone have buttons or something they wear with their 'Dis Meets' name on them, my DW thought it would be a good idea to make a button of some kind to wear with Cruising Canuck DH, DW, DD, etc., printed on it. It would be a easy way to identify each one of us as that is the names we are used to here. Any ideas?

Hi Cruisin Canuck, we'll all be wearing DIS lime green shirts (including the 2 DDs) although I don't think I'll be able to get DH or MIL into them A button would be nice but I'm not sure what to do either. You'll recognize all the Canadians though - we'll be in shellshock over the lovely weather..... I plan on stopping by the meet as well.....

We are staying at the Hyatt at MCO the night before as well although we don't get in until 7:10 p.m. .... I've got the luggage packed for the DDs (only because my MIL is coming to stay with us before we leave and I had to get all the clothes out of that room!) and I'm slowly working on the adults.

I keep thinking - this time in 2 weeks we'll be in Key West (or whatever) and I know for certain that when we get back I'll be saying - this time last week we were here doing this.....

brady961 made up big buttons with the Mickey head, cruise name and date, user name and real first name, and little character stickers on it. She did them for me, DisGal520, ThePhantomsGirl and herself. Actually there are two each - one for the DIS and one for our MagicalDisney Community. I will probably attach them to my carry-on bag and they should be quite visible. Throughout the cruise I will be wearing my WDW Chip 'n' Dale name tag that reads "Taswira."

Speaking of names: I want to let everyone know that I almost never remember anyone's name. I will remember your face and nearly every word you say to me, except your name, be it user or real. So ANY name tags will be appreciated.

We are doing the document dance over here also!! Whoo hoo! They actually came yesterday evening, at about 5:30PM. They were delivered by UPS. This is so exciting!
