CASTAWAY Club Members----Are you ready for our big night???

Which night is it? What are we doing? Is it something I should have extra planning for? We are thinking of reserving just brunch @ Palo for our 2nd 'at sea' day. But I am not submitting our final payment until the 12th. Doubt we will have a problem still getting what we want then.

Not really, but I'll be setting my alarm just to try for Palo Brunch. Crazy, huh? :rotfl2:

So is it at 3 a.m. EST meaning midnight west coast? And at 2 a.m. we turn the clocks back so if we didn't turn them back it would then be 4 a.m. that we can make ressies, right? Oh, the torture! :badpc:

So....here is what me and DH decided. On the west coast its 11pm - east coast it is 2am. We set our clocks back at the correct time (2am) so it is now 1am east coast time but it is still 11pm on the west coast. They will not set their clocks back till 2am (if they do it right). So west coast it is 12am-midnight and east coast it becomes 2am - is this when we would be able to make our ressies???? Anyone follow my logic? I'll let you know tomorrow how it works out :rotfl2: This really is torture! After having a few margaritas I am really having a hard time with this! :rolleyes1

CC members....hope you all got what you wanted. It is now 2:47am East coast time, my ressies are made and now I lay me down to sleep..........good night!

Holly and I have Palo Brunch at 10:30 a.m. on Monday the 29th - first day at sea. :goodvibes

For Pal Mickey owners - -

WDW has just released two new "official" Pal Mickey costumes - a Santa Mickey (hat, jacket and bag) and PIRATE CAPT'N (hat, coat with attached sword, and boots). :thumbsup2

Oh, I'm definitely going to have to get the Pirate one for sure! My Pal Mickey NEEDS it for Pirate Night! ;)

We got Palo Bruch and High Tea, but were unable to get Palo Dinner at the same time (we have a group of 8 adults). I am hoping I can get the Dinners at the same time once we get on board, but if not we at least have brunch!!

Fellow Floridians, how are you feeling about our chances for a Florida Res Rate?? They came out this week for the 3 and 4 day cruises, but not for the 7 day yet. It looks like everything but at Cat 7 is still available (and 1, 2, 3--of course). That would be a great bonus to our already paid off cruise(all of our other cruises have been last minute and booked after the Res Rate was already avaiable).

We're going to wing it in Key West. Doing a semi-submersible in the Grand Caymans; boys should get a kick out of that. In Cozumel we're doing the Fury Catamaran-beach party-snorkeling.

Skipping Palo this time around.

We reserved Palo Brunch on Sunday morning and dinner on Thurs night. We are doing our own thing in Key West, in Grand Cayman we will do Island Tour with in-laws (very tame). On Cozumel day we are doing the Eco Park and Snorkel and at CC we will swim with the rays! On Monday (day at seas) I will have my Aroma Stone Therapy Massage - AAHHH it sounds so heavenly!

I'm thinking of booking the Tullum Ruins tour. I'll probably be going by myself as I don't think any of my friends would want to go...but I've ALWAYS been interested in ruins.

thephantomsgirl. check with dis gal from MC boards as I know she wants to go to the ruins. I would love to but unable due to mobility issues. But DisGal from MC is planning on going so maybe you two could link up together.

The nice thing about the ruins is that tour never gets cancelled for bad weather. Last time we went our excursion got cancelled in Cozumel due to rough seas. I think the ruins tour was the only thing that didn't get cancelled that day. Of course the weather was very bad, forcing us to skip Key West and Grand Cayman altogether so hopefully mother nature will be nicer to us this time!

Holly - I am interested in ruins but didn't want to spend the money on that this time. DCL's site is still showing 45 minutes each way on the ferry (that I understand is quite bouncy and they say can cause motion sickness - LOL) plus a 15 minute walk each way between the ferry and the bus, and about an hour each way on the bus. Is that correct? That means 4 hours of the excursion is spent getting there and back. The "sandwich and beverage" doesn't happen until around 3 pm. There is "beach time" I am not interested in. Since it isn't a full "day at the ruins," I think I'd rather shop in Cozumel and do some relaxing. :smooth:

Now if we switched ports to Costa Maya I would definitely do a ruins excursion! :cool1:

We have done the Tullum ruins and they are a good tour, lots to see and learn, once you get there. The bus ride is kinda long and I have to tell you, the ferry ride, which Shari described, if the seas are rough, is not pleasant at all. We were in an inclosed catamaran which held about 200 people, if I recall right, and the sea was very rough. Well I don't have to explain any furthar as you can use your imagination what happened for most of the trip. I'm sure that it doesn't happen everytime but I thought I would pass along the info., because that is what we remembered most about that excurtion.

12 days 'til we make our final payment and then we can start booking!!

Hi All,

I am not cruising with you... I am on the Jan 6 Magic. I wanted to tell the Florida Residents on here that you should call Disney because your date has the Florida Resident rate available!!! Lucky you!!!

Enjoy it cause I can't. It's not available on my date.

i was aware the florida resident rates were announced for the 3 or 4 night cruises in Jan, so you are saying they have now announced it for the 7 nights cruise for these dates?

thanks
