JANUARY 27, 2007 "PAL MICKEY" Western Magic ROLL CALL

Did you have Mickey call and they found out then? Our kids knew about the trip but still thought that Mickey phoning them was awsome!

Our kids knew about our cruise too but thought that Mickey calling Christmas day was way too cool. He called around 3:30 or so - we were just resting by then so it was perfect timing.

Only a few more days to go...........I notified DS11 middle school teachers today - my son's PE teacher gave him homework for each day we are on the cruise. He told him he had to do 20 pushups every morning. My DS11 decided that if he did 140 pushups (20x7days) on Friday morning before we leave that he will have fulfilled this requirement. I got a kick out of his reasoning. His other teachers are so far really nice about everything - it helps that he has good grades as well.

I also notified the elementary school and now have to file paperwork for a substitute for me and my DD7's teacher has agreed to just let us catch up when we get back as long she reads everyday for at least 20 minutes. This is doable!!:cool1:

My DD6 thought the call was awesome as well. I told her teacher about the trip at the Parent/Teacher interview in early December. The teacher already knew about it and said that DD would have no trouble catching up when she got back. It helps that she's only in Grade 1 but French Immersion is tough!! We've started our countdown calendar on the wall. I'm already starting to put outfits together - it can't come soon enough for me!!!!:cool1: :cool1:

May I suggest you contact DCL to see if there are any native French speakers on DCL when you cruise? My daughter took French since Kindergarten and loved to practice her language skills on crew members.

:cheer2:

What a great idea - thanks for the tip!! I can speak French to her (but she's already correcting my pronunciation:rotfl: ) but it would be good for her to speak to other people as well.

binky1 - you mean you aren't packed yet?????

I've packed Pal Mickeys things already. And I've started to set some of my things aside. It helps that what I am setting aside are off-season things so don't need them right now.

Happy list making and packing everyone!! :goodvibes

Is anyone else not getting an email notice when there is a new post to this thread? Do I need to re-stick or something?

:confused3

Cruise is getting closer and don't want to miss anything.

I don't seem to get the email notifications anymore. I cannot believe how close we are getting!:mickeyjum This is so exciting. I plan to finish putting the rest of the Christmas decorations away tomorrow and start packing over the weekend!

Whoo hoo!

Whoo hoo!

I put our decorations and everything away the day after Christmas.....My DH called me a big scrooge but I really just wanted it all to be behind us so I could concentrate on the cruise. It was funny because in place of our tree is a small box that has a growing number of things added to it for our cruise. We should all start getting documents some time next week - pleas epost when you do:cool1:

To the cruiser list on the website I added another cruiser who is on the PassPorter boards. She'll be celebrating her 37th B'Day. :thumbsup2 No Pal Mickey though. :sad1:

Hey all...basically kind of bumping this thread. After all, we're JUST over 3 weeks away!!

What are people doing in Key West? Anyone find coupons?

Hmmm, the Ghost Tour sounds interesting! (being the resident parnanormal type person in the group...)

I don't think the Ghost Tour is possible for us. I believe the earliest one runs from 8 to 9:30 pm. In Key West, all DCL passengers must be back onboard by 9:30 . . unless they decide to change that.

Three weeks to go, I can almost hear the Magic cutting through the warm Carribean Sea!! :sail:

Everybody have their costumes for the pirate party?

I can't believe it's three weeks!! I have costumes for the kids but still have not decided what to do for myself and my husband. I guess I better hurry and decide, it will be here before we know it!pirate:

We've got our pirate costumes, both for the cruise and the PaP party at the MK for Friday night (Jan. 26).

I'm heading down two weeks from tomorrow! A week at Disney before the cruise. Ugh, not soon enough.

We will be there too, it will be our first cruise. We can't wait to go but are nervous about taking our 19month old. He gets into everything! We can't wait to get away from this canadian snow!!
It will be myself, my husband, our daughter (3) & son (19 months).
