JANUARY 27, 2007 "PAL MICKEY" Western Magic ROLL CALL

Since I saw one other post for a 2007 sailing, I'm jumping in with the JANUARY 27, 2007 WESTERN MAGIC. This will be my eleventh DCL cruise, and I'll be with a friend (ThePhantomsGirl) who'll be experiencing cruising for the first time. Is anyone else here planning on this one?

UPDATE: Below is our "running tally." Where I have a question mark after adults, it's because I don't know if you are cruising with children. Just let me know. And please let me know if you are bringing a Pal Mickey (WDW's little tour guide mouse - See Pal Mickey's Mouse Den), as this is also "A Pal Mickey Gathering at Sea".

We'll be there too! This is our first trip on the Magic, we were on the Wonder in Sept and loved it! We rebooked onboard and then transferred when the 07 dates came out. It seems really far away, hopefully it will come soon!

Also, some of us in the Pal Mickey club (Pal Mickey's Grown-Up Pals Club) are making this "A Pal Mickey Gathering at Sea."

All Pal Mickey meets during the cruise will be "Just show up" so people needn't worry about firmly committing for anything. We have lots of "photo ops" in mind. The idea is to have as many people as possible cruising with their Pal Mickeys on this sailing, dressing them for the occasion, and just showing up everywhere. We hope to post a wide variety of photos from the cruise on PalMickey.net.

So even those who are not bringing Pal Mickey should get a little extra amusement from seeing him around the ship on this cruise.

I'm the friend who will be experiencing DCL for the first time. It seems so far away, but I know how quickly time passes. So hopefully it'll be here before we know it. I'll look forward to meeting all of you.

And if anyone has a Pal Mickey be sure to bring him!!!

We will be pn board as well. We just switch our dates from the Sept 2006 double dip to the Western Cruise. We will have to try for a double dip again some time. We rebooked on board back on our honeymoon cruise aboard the Wonder on September 11-15, 2005. We decided to change to Jan so that we could go some place warm in the winter time up here

it's super early, but i'm very excited about this cruise! it will just be DH and me. and we'll be celebrating my 26th birthday on the 31 (i think that's the coszumel day!)

i'm sure you can see why i'm excited!!

Hi explorer, I will be celebrating my 26th Bday the 25th.. a few days before we go! It is also just DH and I. I know it is a long way off, but we are going to WDW in only 9 days, YEAH!

Our family is in on the 1/27/07 western. This will be our 2nd Dis cruise, and we have been in cruise withdrawl since then. We are both Disney-aholics and our kids are getting to be the same. We are from Canada and we met some great Dis people on-line before our last cruise 2 years ago. Wife Lorraine and I, (Gord) are 40 and we will be bringing two of our 3 kids, Carly 9, Vanessa 5, we just had a new baby boy in Sept., Matthew, but he will be a little young to go, just yet. Would like to get to know a few folks again before we venture out. Will be spending a few days before the cruise @ WDW before and staying at one of the All Star resorts. Michael and Mel tell me what is a Castaway Cay double dip?

I live an hour from WDW and am usually there a couple of times per week or more. I would love to meet you and your family at WDW before the cruise. I don't have any kids, but I have Pal Mickey - LOL!

ThePhantomsGirl, who will be rooming with me for the cruise, is about the same distance from WDW but in a different direction. She works at Shrek at Universal Studios.

Oh - just saw your question - - A "Castaway Cay double dip" is visiting Castaway Cay twice in one cruise. It is part of some special itineraries and also happens during some diversions for weather.

you are very lucky to live so close to WDW if my wife were that close she would probably choose to live on site!! Guess that is partly my fault, Lorraine had never been to Disneyland or WDW before we were married in '89, but since we first went together in '92 we have been on either in Calif. or Fl. more than 10 times!! But never can wait to get back. Thanks for the answer when we were on our first Dis cruise, Carly could have stayed at Castaway every day, that was her fav. time, but she really loved being at the kids club as well. I will have to get my wife to talk to you about Pal Mickey, that is something she might be interested in.

Cool! I hope she'll decide to get a Pal Mickey! My guess is that they will release yet another new one after the Happiest Celebration On Earth ends.

I know I'm silly...but coming to this thread makes me feel like the cruise is getting closer! Okay....logically it is...but I'm like a little kid and I want it to be NOW!
