JANUARY 27, 2007 "PAL MICKEY" Western Magic ROLL CALL

My first name is Amy Lee. Amlee is the name my nieces and nephews gave me when they were younger. Yup 2nd Disney cruise just got off the Wonder thursday.

Phantomgirl your right. By the time a year passes we should all know each other very well. I'm excited about going with out the kids this time. It was all about them last week. This time it's all about ME. :D

W00t!! It now looks like my whole family will be going on this cruise. Just got off the phone with my mother. It seems her and my dad are willing to pay for us all to go on the cruise together again! :cool1:

Welcome, Beth! :goodvibes

You are now on the "cruiser list" web page for our cruise, located HERE. I also edited the first post of this thread to include you, but because your user name is an e-mail address, it shows as an active mail link. I hope that's okay. Otherwise I can edit your user name slightly (maybe replacing the @ with "at"). Let me know.

I'm glad to see so many joining this cruise, and it's still nearly a year away!

Shari

How on earth do I insert an image in my reply, could anyone tell me, I'd like to send you guys a picture of our family.

We will be there...our old neighbors (moved away..whah!!) and great friends talked us into it (Hi Beth!). We are still trying to talk our other neighbor into it so we can have a real reunion. It is our second cruise on Magic, but our first with our new addition (baby Jessie). My older daughter is so excited to go again and see her old buddies. Last time we had 30 foot waves and very rough seas most of the week and I ended up with Vertigo for 3 months afterwards, but I am crossing my fingers it will be smooth sailing this time! If not, at least I know what drugs to try this time!
Regards,
Wendy (0ldmom), Hubby, and 2 kids (12 and 1 year old) :woohoo:

Hi Wendy!

I am so excited you are going! (Even though we will be in cabins 100 floors below you!)

By the way, you are SO NOT an Old mom! Let's make it our goal to prove how young we are starting January 27th! Whoo Hoo!

Love from your old neighbor, soon to be shipmate! pirate:

You have to get a membership at a hosting website. Photobucket.com or uploadit.org both offer free memberships.

I have an upload account so I can only tell you how to go about doing it on upload, but they both work basicly the same.

Once you have your membership go to the area that says upload. You will see a browers button. Click on it and find the picture you wish to upload. Upload it to the hosting site. It will say successful upload and give you a link to your picture. Click on the link and a new page will come up with your picture. copy the url in the browser.

Come back here and go to your signature in you user cp. There is a button below the size and color that looks like a landscape picture. click that button. A small box will come up for you to past the url that your picture is on. Once you paste your url in the box hit ok.

Preview to make sure it worked.

Also note that signatures can only be a certain size. I think it's 400 by 400 or something like that. So you will have to size your picture according to that.

Welcome, oldmom! Hey - I am 10 years older than you, but don't consider myself "old." Since I never had children, I don't have living "evidence" of my age, and you sure can't tell it from my behavior - LOL.

I added you to the first post and the cruiser list web page. :thumbsup2

BTW - I am on a SLOW dial-up connection while visiting Idaho. So until I get back home to Florida and my DSL on Feb. 20th, I may be slow to update the list. Please bear with me. Thanks!

Hi Wendy, Is your 12 y/o a DD or a DS? My DD will be 11 3/4 at the time of the cruise. She would love to e-mail with people her own age prior to the cruise.

Take care,

Kim

She's a DD.... :cheer2:

Very girly if you know what I mean. She's 11 now but will be 12 on the cruise. She would love to hear from someone else going.

Here we are in cold miserable Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan!! We are shivering up here at -30 C. Dreaming about cruising the sunny warm Carribean!! This pic was taken around Christmas, please excuse the phtographers copyright. Baby Matthew will be staying at home with Grandma while we cruise next Jan. Oh, by the way, our stateroom # is 2612, looking forward to meeting you all!! :sunny:

Lovely family! :)

I added your stateroom number to your listing on our cruise's web page. :thumbsup2

Thanks Shari, I should also add that we have early dinner seating!

Hope we have better table mates this time, the last time we were on the Magic we had a bizarre trio, a woman and her 7 yr. old son, who also brought along her nanny to take care of her son while on the cruise! Night after night they ordered almost every item off the menu, every course, just to try a couple bites of each! The mother then started complaining that the servers weren't paying enough attention to her son and come the second last night while leaving after dinner they told us that they weren't coming to the final dinner so they didn't have to tip the waiters!! Sure enough they didn't, we were appalled with their behaviour, to say the least!!

Thanks, Cruising canuck! I posted your dining time to the web page. I listed it as "Main" (same as "early, as opposed to "Late").

I, too, have had a few horrible experiences with tablemates when they were not pre-arranged, but I also had a few great ones when friends were made of strangers. You never know. Dining on DCL can be quite an adventure, good or bad. I have to admit I have come upon several diners, whether at my own table or some nearby, who pulled that trick of not coming to the final dinner (and also not showing for the debarkation morning's breakfast) in order to avoid tipping their servers. Like most, I am on a budget and have to save up for my cruises, but I would never consider cruising without budgeting a generous tip for generous service, which is the standard on Disney Cruise Line.

And it IS appalling to see people order an excess of food only to waste it. I also see that all the time around WDW at the buffets - - so much waste. On the cruises, I guess it's nice that if one orders something they end up hating, the servers have no problem with bringing something else. But those who abuse the system and the servers should be ashamed of themselves.

Hopefully all of us here will be blessed with pleasant and well-mannered tablemates. :)

We just got off the Magic one week ago today, February 11 :( BUT scheduled another cruise while on board pixiedust: .........we loved it! This was our first crusie and now we are hooked! Originally we were set for Jan 7 next year but I looked at the school calendar and realized that the jan 27 is a much better bet for us (end of semester and exams are the week before). Add us to your cruising list, we are myself(sue) and DH(Mike), my DD Ashton will be 7 and my DS Alex will be 11. We are excited because we are trying to get my MIL and FIL to join us so we already reserved them a cabin as well. Right now we are booked in 6552 and 6554 - adjoining cabins. I am not sure if they will be willing participants. :confused3 They are the reserved type but I know they would really enjoy the shows and being on the boat, its just getting them there! :crazy2: I hope my DS will not get sick this go round.......he got a terrible head cold right around Tuesday on our cruise and while it did not stop us from doing the fun things we had planned, I could not let him into the Oceaneer Lab at all since I knew he was sick. He did get to go Sunday and Monday (at least we got our Spa treatment in). We did have to cancel our Palo ressies since I could not leave him alone in the stateroom (no telling when the attendent would do turndown) and I could not send him to the Lab. Gives us something to look forward to next time :woohoo: . My DD however loved the clubs  and did a lot of activities - she really enjoyed it. Wish me luck in talking my in-laws into travelling with us :wizard: ..........Look forward to meeting all of you next Jan.!

Welcome, msaseifert! You are now listed on the first post of this thread, and your info has been added to our cruise list web page. Thank you! :sunny:

I'm so sorry to hear that your son got sick on your recent cruise. Hopefully that won't happen next time.

Well, since I've dined with you before I know at least you will be pleasant and well-mannered. Of course if a certain chipmunk (or a 6 foot Chip) comes by - then all bets might be off! :rotfl2:

Us waste food? Especially anything that reeks of "death by chocolate?" No way!! :lmao:
