Well, I'll start a thread! I'm so excited we're finally able to book 2010 cruises!!!

DH, DS (5 at sailing) and I are looking forward to this cruise. DH and I sailed on the Magic in Jan 1999 (cat 5) and this trip we are sailing in Cat 3 -- cabin 8534

I'm hoping DH won't be obsessing about missing his precious hockey games while we're gone. I mean, this is the man who doesn't really give a flip about football, but he and a friend who went with us HAD to watch the Super Bowl in '99. They were both dying sitting at Palo with the slow peaceful service when they knew that stupid game was on. As soon as they could, they bolted to see what was left of the game. (At least our team won -- probably the last time the Broncos were worth anything too... LOL)

I'm not sure if we're doing WDW before or after the cruise yet, but we will certainly do WDW!

So, everyone join in - let's get to know each other and see where this wave takes us!

I don't know if people usually start a list, but that's what I'll do here... I'm just grabbing info from replies/signatures so if anything is off, let me know and I'll fix it. (ages of kids at time of travel would be super)

Hey Robin!

We are in! It is me, DH, DS (9 at the time), DS (7 at the time) and DD (2 at the time - she will miss 3 by 2 weeks exactly!). I can't believe that I am in countdown mode TO A CRUISE!! This will be our first cruise ever and hope that it won't be the last!

I have gotten my Mom, my in-laws, my sister-in-law (with her hubby and 4 boys), and my sister and her family on board for this trip too!

We have talked about doing WDW before the trip. We won't do it after so that we don't relax and then go crazy afterwards. I would rather go crazy and then relax on the boat!

Although we aren't a hockey family, or even a football family really, I am glad that this trip didn't happen during baseball season because my DH and my BIL would be at the sports bar the entire trip!

I was glad to know who started this date! I have to say that TGM peeps rock!

Depending on DH's work, we are curently planning on doing WDW first - same reasoning as what you have.

I think it's gonna be a blast getting everyone together for this cruise. My little family is probably visiting WDW after the cruise. It just works out better for us. Plus this is such a short cruise which makes me think there won't be all that much time for relaxing anyway!

Welcome DoOver! Cruising is SO much fun! I'm sure you'll love it! You can do everything - on the run from early morning to late at night or do nothing at all... or anywhere in between.


I'm sure as we get closer to our date we'll get more folks on the same sailing.

Thanks Robin. I don't spend too much time over here. But I like the cruise meet forums. Its fun getting to know people before you sail with them. There are a great group of people sailing on the DVC cruise in September. I can't wait to meet them.

But I must say I am SUPER excited about our Jan. 2010 cruise since I've already gotten to meet so many friends. It'll be like a little reunion at sea.

I updated the first post with user names etc of people who are traveling.
I will enter as much or as little info as each person wants. Since this is a public board I'm not sure if we want to post our cabin numbers... But I will list whatever you want.

I know a few of you from TGM but if you haven't posted your personal info here (who is cruising/ages etc) I'm not adding it until you tell me to.


While I'm not publicly posting my cabin nbr, I will brag that DH agreed to a 1bedroom suite!!! Cat 3 baby!!! And a certain someone who is on the list here is next door to me! We're gonna have a BLAST!!!
(but we'll probably end up at a value on land to adjust for the price... All depends on how DH's business does in the next few months. I know DH wants to stay @ a deluxe but we may have to pare that down since things are tight right now.)

LOL Vicki. I figured I'd let you post it if you wanted the info shared. ;-) (as if one can keep it in when they're splurging like that!) You know you're in trouble getting a suite for your families first cruise... A standard cabin will never suffice ever again.
I started DH out in a balcony cabin for that very reason! He won't even consider a cabin without a balcony now!

Hi everyone! We could not pass up that deal with the Kids Sail Free! We cruised this year for the first time on the Wonder on Jan. 25th 2009, and were not planning to go again until 2011. However! We will be staying at Disney for 3 nights before the cruise. We are leaving the mother and mother-in-law at home this trip as they are saving for our 7 night in 2011. This time it is just me, the hubby and Gannon (s11) and Emma (d8). We are super excited and ready for another great cruise!!

Hey, all my fellow concierge stateroom people. I looked on the DCL website yesterday and it says tomorrow is the day we can make our reservations for things. Is that right?

I'm so excited! It's our very first cruise ever and just can't wait!

This is also our first Disney cruise. It will DH, DD(14), DD(10), and myself. We have never been a cruise before and are really looking forward to it. I am assuming with the kids sail free promo, there will be lots of kids on board. I'm hoping my girls will be able to meet new friends.
