January 24, 2013 3-Night Bahamian Cruise on Disney Dream

I'm a second timer :) It will be myself, husband, son 19, and daughter 6.
We'll be sailing w/ my brother, his wife and two daughters 3 and 5. We were interested in doing the fish extender gift exchange w/ a group if anyone would like to. Sounded like it would be fun for the kids.

I may bring a fish extender. Since it's only 3 days I didn't want to spend too much time looking for rooms, but I'll do a few, I think my kids will love it.

I'll have to think about re-booking Country Inn and Suites - I'm paying $125!

Has anyone rented a car after cruise where they picked you up from the terminal? Can you recommend a rental company? I am getting some good rates, but not sure how to handle picking it up. Just the 4 of us, so we don't have other family members to help out this time...

So who wants to head up the FE???? :)

I would try to rebook if you don't care what kind of room you get. We are not getting in until late so it's really just a place to sleep and worth it to save that much money.

We rented from Budget from MCO and dropping off at PC (free drop off) unlimited miles mini van for 1 day and it was $90. We are picking up on Sunday when we leave the cruise for WDW and it was only $79. I didn't think that was a bad deal. Unlimited miles.

We have a FE we are bringing - what do we need to do to coordinate?? Make a list of who is in and their particulars?

So looking forward to this!!

I have been reading a little bit about these I think it looks like fun. If we have anyone else interested maybe we can give it a try. Anyone else on board?

Also so excited just booked our Wed night hotel through Hot Wire Country Inn and Suites for $62.00!!! 70 days to go ::yes::[/QUOTE]

How did you make sure the get CIS through Hotwire? It doesn't seem to let you pick the
Place. Priceline has CIS and Radisson for
Less than my reservations:\

I can head up the FE!

I will create a google spreadsheet tonight after work to keep everyone updated, PM me if you are interested :goodvibes

Fabulous! That will be great since you've participated before. I told my kids and they were excited!:yay:

Hey guys!

For the FE, I need names, ages of the kids in your party, and room numbers... We got a lot of stuff with DS' name on it and it was super cute so I figured I'd give people that option.

Also, do we want to have it as a "drop it off as you go" situation or scheduled days? It doesn't matter either way, the one I did before was "drop it off as you go" and we always had something to come back to! :hyper:

Im a first timer!!! And so excited! Im with 'Mattandaddysmom' on our disney cruise! Going to attempt to make my own extender :) Interested in hearing more about all this! :cool1:

I have in myself and my husband, a 5yr old girl-Brylie and a 3 yr old girl-Bria :) I may be changing decks so I dont have the room info yet.

Because I changed our room at the last minute, I'm awaiting our new room #. I can give it to you as soon as i get it. My name is Christine, my husband is AB, my son Matt is 19, and my daughter Addyson will be 6. Although this is my 2nd Disney cruise, it's my first time doing the FE. So any suggestions are welcome. I'm also going to make ours. Really excited about adding the to our cruise experience :)

Yeah it's one of those things where you don't know where you will be staying but for me I would have been ok with any of the 3 star hotels they listed. According to what I was reading most people got CIS. It tell you right away where you will be staying.

Myself Mia, my DH Todd and my DS Ashton age 12. Will not find out my room number for awhile since we booked OGT. Thanks for taking this on.:thumbsup2

I thought I sent this as a PM, but maybe I didn't - just to be safe...
For the FE: Myself - Karen, DH Sal, DS (10) Christopher, DS (7) Ryan. Our cabin is 10166. I like the drop as you go plan, sounds much easier...

Does anyone know if the new Photopass + plan can include pix from the cruise AND the parks in one trip? I don't think we'll have that many pix taken in the parks since we are only doing 3 days, but if it included the cruise too, may be worth looking into - they took some great shots.

What freaked me out a little from our last cruise - they took pictures of my kids at Castaway Cay, never asked their name, cabin number or any other ID, and their pictures made it to our picture folder. They obviously have a facial recognition system, they do take your picture before you board, still wild though!

Just bid 60$ on Priceline for Cape Canaveral - Country Inn and Suites Cape Canaveral. Whew!

Is anyone worried about it being cold? Do they heat the pools if it is?:confused3

Kinda worried about that too but I guess that's what we get for booking in Jan lol. DH and I were in Nassau in Dec 2010 and it was a little chilly but we did manage to swim. As far as the pools being heated I would love to know.

We've been twice in January. Lots of folks in the pools. That hasn't been a problem so I assume they're heated. Sometimes cool at Castaway Cay. We got in the water one year, but last year we did not, though others did.
