Hey - we are in! 11:00 checkin. Straight to the pool or to Cabanas? :)
Also booked dinner and some
Spa time for Mom- yay!!

We PIF yesterday, got Cabana #9 and booked some fishing for DH and DS14. We are staying on the boat at Nassau. 72 days!

Missed out on the Cabanas but ok by us. Big Boys are fishing; little boy and
Mom doing stingray.
Also staying on the boat during Nassau - so much to do in 3 days!

For those of you that have cruised with Disney before, if we are scheduled for 11 then when can we #1 arrive at the port #2 realistically expect to be on the Dream ;) Being a first time cruiser I was just wondering.

We are in at 11:00 as well. We are also staying on board in Nassau. Considering a spa appt. for me. I read the the fire and ice manicure is actually a massage with a manicure, and one of the cheaper services.

As far as when we can get on board: when we went in 2011 the boarding process was different, my brother and sister in law got to the terminal earlier and got an earlier group and we just walked on the ship with them. We didn't have to schedule the time on-line beforehand. So, I can't really say, but I will ask my travel agent when she gets back from Disney later this week. She will know.

Funny that's exactly what I was wanting to do!! Do you know how old you have to be to use the spa. My daughter is turning 13 on Nassau day and I know she would love a pedi with mamma :)

The 11:00 time is the port arrival time. That being said, typically the guard will allow you into the port area a little early (10:45). Much earlier than that and the guard may make you wait, though I have read some folks saying they arrived at 10:30 (not sure if they had to wait or not).

When you check-in at the port, you will then be given a boarding number. Concierge and platinum club members will be in the first boarding groups. Your boarding time will depend on what number you're given. I can't remember exact times, but I think boarding begins around noon? While you're waiting, you can go ahead and get the wristbands for the kids' clubs so you don't have to do it onboard. They offered that on our cruise last January and it was quicker than getting them at the clubs. There will also be characters to pose with that helps the time pass.

Once you board though, you won't be able to go to your rooms until around 1:30 I think. They have the hallways gated off. Lunch is served when you board and pools and Aquaduck are open. If you want to swim, be sure to pack a swimsuit in your carryon or wear under your clothes, since luggage may not arrive until much later.

Is anyone bringing a fish extender?[/QUOTE]

I have been reading a little bit about these I think it looks like fun. If we have anyone else interested maybe we can give it a try. Anyone else on board?

Also so excited just booked our Wed night hotel through Hot Wire Country Inn and Suites for $62.00!!! 70 days to go ::yes::

So excited! Our first Disney cruise. It will be me, my Dh and my Ds, age 12. My Dh has a business trip in Tampa and my Ds just happens to have a few days off from school. We will be surprizing Ds, he will think we are just going to Tampa. I hope someone else has a boy that will be in edge. :yay:

Welcome aboard:) My DS and DD are 12 turning 13 on day two of our cruise. Maybe they can meet up!! Can't wait sooo excited!

I may bring a fish extender. Since it's only 3 days I didn't want to spend too much time looking for rooms, but I'll do a few, I think my kids will love it.

I'll have to think about re-booking Country Inn and Suites - I'm paying $125!

Has anyone rented a car after cruise where they picked you up from the terminal? Can you recommend a rental company? I am getting some good rates, but not sure how to handle picking it up. Just the 4 of us, so we don't have other family members to help out this time...

We are looking at Alamo, they have a shuttle to and from PC. There are 6 of us, so paying 210 each way for Disney Transportation is just not in the cards.

My DSS is 14 (an immature 14) I'm sure he would love to have someone to hang out with :)

Yippy we now have four families ;-). Welcome to the board, so glad to have someone else who has been on the dream before. Anyone staying in an AFT cabin? We still need to book hotel for Wed night!!

We're aft as well. We're in 8178, other family members are 8180 & 8182. We're the last three rooms on the port side of the ship before the end of the ship. I would be interested in FE for our group. It seems we don't have too many that would take too long, and it would be fun for the kids. I have no idea how to go about organizing one though. We've never done one before. I'll check to see if at least my brother & sister in law and their kids would want to participate if we decide to do it. Not sure my inlaws would want to but I can check with them as well. It seems that we have groups of rooms close together which would make it easy too.

Thankyou so much future cruise buddies for telling me about your middle school sons. I know my DS will be happy if they play some organized sports on board. He is a little quiet but very athletic. I also would be interested in doing a FE. I probably won't know our room number until about a week or so before because we bought an OGT room.:flower3:This must be a very empty ship because I got an 11:00 boarding time.

We are also AFT, deck 9 (I don't remember the room numbers off the top of my head but I can update when I get home).

We would also be interested in doing the FE! I did one on our Dream 3-day in February and it was one of the best parts of the trip! :)
