January 23, 2010 Sailing with Mickey on the Magic! **The Crusin' DISers**

Once I finish up this week of class I can concentrate on packing, t-shirts and magnets. I can’t wait.:cool1: I need a vacation bad. I would be interested in some gal time on a sea day. I am just not sure what all I have planned for the day so far. As far as excursions go, we have no plans for KW and CC. We will be doing our own thing. In GC DH and I will be doing the shipwreck snorkel in the AM then spending the rest of the afternoon in town with the kids. Still not sure the plan in Cozumel. DH is taking his sweet time. I may just book something anyway.lol We will be doing Palo brunch on the KW day unless it interferes with the character breakfast then we will cancel so we can do that with the kids.

Can't hardly stand it!! It is now flying by and soooooo much to do!:cool1::scared1:

I was checking out our Disney rewards on the Disney Visa and noticed a $45 credit from DCL. Anybody else getting this and what is it for?? I checked out our ressie on DCL's website and also on Dreams Unlimited.....nothing there. Odd!

There was a change in taxes. My husband and I were refunded $35 total for the two of us. I called when I saw a difference in the invoice price and was told it would be credited back to our credit card! Glad to hear you received yours!

Money back is always a good thing!

I know there was a tentative (I think) plan at one time but don't remember! What do you (or anyone reading) put in your shoe holder? I keep seeing everyone saying you really need one, but what to you store in it?

Kelli

I was under the impression they can go on the back of the bathroom doors. I got 2 at the Dollar Store and that would be my plan based on what I was reading. I believe they can be used for things like bathroom toiletries, KTTW cards, pens and highlighters and other things like that. We shall see.:confused3

I have used a shoe organizer on 3 of my 4 cruises. It is great. I hang it on the back of the bathroom door and use it to hold evertything that will fit into it. I put sunglasses, sunscreen, lotion, aloe, deodorant, band-aids, tylenol or asprin, camera, first aid kit, razors and shaving cream, brushes and combs. Mostly things that you would keep on your bathroom counter at home or in cabinets. But like I said I put anything in there that will fit because it gets it off the tables and desk. There is not a lot of counter space so the the organizer just helps to keep clutter out of the way. I really recommend that you bring one if you can it will not take up much space in your luggage and it saves you space in your cabin.

Thank you for the info!!! And you are SO right, money back is a great thing......I will definitely be getting a couple of baskets from Shirley's Perfect Gifts now! :cheer2:

Anyone have the measurements that the fish extenders should be? How wide and potentially how long as my wife is working on making ours...

Also, any men interested in the bottom fishing at Castaway. Another family friend of mine and I are going and wanted to check and see if any other males interested....

This is what I found on another board:

How to Make a Fish Extender

Pockets are 11" X 5 1/2"
Back is 32" X 8"

Materials:
You need 1/4 yard of fabric
iron interfacing
wide double fold bias tape, and
3/8" dowel 8" long

Instructions:
- - - Cut out backing and pockets then iron on interfacing.
- - - Sew bias tape on top of pocket
- - - Pleat once on each side and pin bottom of pocket so that it is 8" wide.
- - - Baste, then pin bias tape on bottom and sew on
- - - Pin pockets on backing and sew bottom of pocket to backing
- - - Pin and baste around entire outside of project.
- - - Pin then sew bias tape around outside edge of whole fish extender
- - - Fold top over leaving room for you dowel at top and sew along the inside of bias tape down each side to secure.

Hope this helps!

Sounds like we are all gearing up to be done with the Holidays & house guests and on to our Cruise preparations. I know I am! Christmas is all put away, the guest room cleaned up and ready to use as my packing staging area. Yippee....Disney Cruise, here we come!

We had talked about 3 pm for our Meet & Greet at the Promenade Lounge (it is inside, just incase there is any weather). Seems like the climate can't decide if it is going to be hot or cold right now!

Looking forward to meeting everyone!

...

20 more days DISers!!!!!:banana::yay:

Those are a reduction from govn't taxes & fees. I called DCL over the weekend trying to figure it out.

WOOOHOOO!!!! Less than 3 weeks...

Just wanted to let everyone know I noticed a post on the main board from someone who will be on this cruise. I recommended our meet thread and sent the link so we could possibly have someone else joining us.:hippie:

OOHHH, I like the idea of the guest room staging area. I am stealing it! I have been wondering where I could start packing that the kids would not get in and start "editing" their wardrobe. :rotfl:

Checked the weather at Key West around 8 last night and the current temp was 50. So could be worse, and surely it can only get warmer! Although with cooler weather, I won't look like a total freak for not living in shorts and t-shirts during the cruise! I am so cold natured, I don't wear shorts all that much during summer...

Hi everyone, Happy New Year! I hope you all had a great holiday season. I'm back from skiing so now I can focus on cruise stuff :cool1:

Please :welcome::

plutolovr: Kerry and her family

Sharethemagic: Nancy and her DH

Raven9 Studios: Kelly and her kiddos

Welcome aboard, glad to have you with us!!!

FE Update
I have two more interested parties who would like to participate. It is not a problem for me but I need to know from everyone else if it is ok with you to add them. Please PM me and let me know if you all can add 2 more. Thanks :goodvibes

Other business...

I have a running list of FE's and will assign days to distribute. Before you leave you can print out the list. Let me know if you want to request a day. Traci and Shelly, I have your requests.

The first meet will be in the Promenade Lounge at 2:30 so it does not interfere with the drill.

Other ideas for meets? Let me know. We have so far: morning coffee, afternoon cosmos and card games. Sea days, good idea :thumbsup2

How's that, anything else? :faint:

Did we decide on doing FEs on 2 days? :confused3

I was just going over my FE’s and they can either be given early or late into the cruise. So if someone needs an earlier time it won’t mess up my FE’s. Did we decide on a kid meet and greet type thing.

Nope. I think that's best done individually. Anyone interested can check the list on the first post to find those who have children close in age and contact that person.

My 6yo tells me she'll be too busy in the kis club so I shouldn't schedule anything for her :snooty: well, excuse me!

That sounds like my two. I had to give them a certian number of nights they had to have dinner with us.:lmao:

No, I thought I we could space them out over the whole week so we could come back to a surprise every day.

What I meant was...should we plan/anticipate having FE's to provide for 2 days? We would deliver different days than others but we would only deliver on 2 days....
