JANUARY 2025 W.I.S.H. THREAD, NEW YEAR, NEW BEGINNINGS

Woohoo... for losing a pound. Finally. And to feeling better and for having my skin look better, as my skin is always a barometer I measure against.

Woohoo... my stoneware bread baking pan arrived yesterday, so I'll be mixing up the first batch of dough soon.

Woohoo... the pace has picked up at work because testing has started. I do much better with more activity, so the past two days have been (mostly) fun.

Today I am thankful that it is Thursday. It has been an active productive week, and I am ready for some weekend.

I am also thankful to have dropped another pound. I'm not counting calories yet and still pretty high on carbs, so losing is just from cutting out sugar and exercising more.

And speaking of exercise, I am thankful for my Pilates class. In addition to getting me to move it is my group/community time and very emotionally fulfilling.

WOO HOO! I have lost 3 pounds since January 1st!!!

WOO HOO! I have managed to stay focused on weight loss and have not given into temptation.

I am thankful for everything I have. Watching the devastating wildfires in California is reminding me to be grateful for the things that I take for granted.

I've managed to put together another good food week and have also increased exercise this week, so well done me. Having Pilates twice a week really helps with the exercise minutes, but I need to be sure to keep moving the days without class, and that means taking a couple good long walks. I'm also looking for an at-home Pilates video that I like to support what I'm doing in class.

I've also finally started to break my obsessive social media habits. I haven't been on FB at all this week and am working towards cutting IG back by 50%. My brain just needs to be doing other things.

Other than that, I'll bake bread for the first time this weekend - woohoo. And I'll take advantage of the predicted lack of rain to get outside and start cleaning up and organizing the garden stuff. I may start putting stuff out in a free pile... now that the holidays are done, I'm thinking people might start moving and I want to be closer to ready so I can jump if something comes available in the apartment complex that I'm interested in moving to.

Hello everyone and happy weekend!!! Woke up to a fresh few inches of snow here! Luckily it was lightweight and fluffy and DH had us shoveled out in record time!

I had a 4 day weekend this week due to the day of mourning on Thursday. I babysat my granddaughter Thursday and yesterday did cleaning, laundry and some deep cleaning tasks that I put off longer than I should have!

Today I am babysitting my niece and she’s sleeping over, tomorrow I have coffee bar after first church service then I am hoping DH and I can use a gift card we got for Christmas for brunch, but he is under the weather today so we will see!!

I kept getting a ad when I tried the quiz, hoping to come back to it later!

Have a great day!

8 out of 17...This quiz gave me a headache! It was super buggy on my iPhone, and after 7 attempts, I did it on my MacBook. Most of those movies, I didn't see.

My self care today is to start rebuilding my 3 day emergency kit, which has fallen apart the past few years. The fires in LA are a stark reminder that you never know when what is going to happen and for us it is earthquakes.

I’ll also get out for another walk and do the new Pilates video again. I had hoped to get to 50% of my monthly exercise goal this weekend and it is definitely within reach. Getting active in that thread again is really helping.

This morning is starting out good for me! Got up with my alarm-no snoozing-did my Bible reading/journaling and a 30 min HITT workout before starting work. This is the routine I need to be my best, but I have been slacking for various reasons none of which are valid LOL!!

Motivated to keep this week on track because we are on vacation in 3 weeks!

Self care yesterday was a walk with DH and the dogs and an amazing Eagles win!!!

I did take a shower this morning!

Some of the things I thought I'd do over the weekend happened and some didn't... biggest accomplishment was getting outside for walks both days, Sat at the beach and Sun on the bay trail. My big motivation this week is that there is no rain in the forecast (woohoo) so more walks will be happening.

My other motivation is that I've dropped three of the five pounds I hoped to lose this month and seeing the number on the scale move is a big boost.
