I've been using the following resource for planning what days we'd be trying to see Illuminations, Wishes (and Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert party), the MSEP, Star Wars Fireworks, and whatever's in Animal Kingdom at night

https://media.disneywebcontent.com/StaticFiles/ParkHours/WDWTravelAgent_January.pdf

However, I don't see any wishes listed nor MSEP listed for the whole month (we're there be going 1/8-1/15)

Is this something that gets updated the closer it gets or are there really no wishes and MSEP scheduled for all of January?

Yes, I realize we're going at a time where the park is not at all crowded.

i don't think anyone knows the answer to this question for sure. A couple of years ago the preliminary schedule would include nighttime entertainment parades, etc. Somethings (like MSEP) would not be scheduled every night, some things, like F!, usually would. As the month got closer, openning times would often be extended, shows would sometimes be added. But over the past few months, the schedules the schedules that have been released have been much more preliminary in nature. The January schedule is an extreme example of this. I highly doubt that there will be essentially no nighttime entertainment, as currently scheduled. Things like the starwars fireworks are very up in the air (will they happen some nights, all nights, weekends? this show has only just been extended through september), will Rivers of Light be online? will AK push closing back to 7pm? But what changes will be made or when they will be made it unknown.

I'm in the same boat as you-- i'm going in late january, it's nearly time to made ADRs and i have no idea how to handle which are the "preferred" parks, what time we need to eat to make sure we can do nighttime shows, etc.
