JANUARY 2017!! **CHECK IN!!

Hi All! My DH and I just booked our trip today! :banana:We are piggy backing on a conference I will be at and are getting to do a 2 night stay at the DLH! We are there 1/15-1/17. I didn't even realize the race was that weekend too. Hoping the crowds won't be too bad! :earboy2:We really enjoyed it last time we went.

I was able to get a few reservations for dining but not all of them are available yet. This is so different from WDW dining!

Does anyone know when the park hours will be released? Patiently waiting over here! :rolleyes1

Hi Everyone! We just booked The Grand Californian for Jan. 2 - Jan. 5!!!

A DLR holiday was not anywhere on our radar until I saw the 25% of parkhoppers for Canadian residents, and then received a pin code for 40% off hotel rooms on week nights!

DS (18) will be home from University that week, so we jumped on it! We're expecting it to be very busy, but there was actually lots of availability for rooms, so I'm cautiously optimistic that the craziness of Christmas week will have subsided a "tiny" bit. :goodvibes

Either way, we're beyond excited to be able to get a tiny taste of Disney Christmas Magic! :jumping1:

We have been waiting to book our WOC Dessert Packages, The Plaza, and PTN Dinner and just when I get two of them booked my DD (19) friend has a breakdown and we aren't sure if she is going to show or not. So this is my dilemma...we are going to invite my brother and my nephew (18) to join us. Just so my DD has a ride buddy. We've done DL with them before and had a blast. They live in LA so they really don't need a room, although he will probably try and find one near us for at least one night, and I can give the extra park hopper to my nephew. Should I just leave the WOC Dessert alone since I prepaid and take the chance that once they decide I can book a single or he can? and is it better to change the PTN Dinner to 5 person since I don't have to pay for that one yet? Then change that reservation once its decided. Just a refresher, we are going Dec. 31-Jan 2nd, so peak time with NYE.

Either way works and keep in mind that you could change the dessert party to 5 and then cancel for a refund when you get closer to the actual day when you see how things shake out. Though you have to prepay it is refundable if you cancel in advance.

Also are planning WOC on dec 31 or am I missing the January packages becuase I still can't find them

Thank you, I actually changed them and will call to add another person for WOC. UGH we have a cruise two weeks after DL that I have to deal with as well.

January park hours have been released ...................................well not really :rolleyes1

Got excited this morning when I checked the Disneyland site, that January was listed on the calendar finally . But it must be some cruel joke, as the calender is BLANK ! Only January 1st is listed .
Well maybe some time today the rest of January park hours may be released .
Sheesh , we are a little over a month till January ! :headache:

Maybe they are currently working on them? :rolleyes1

Just booked from PPH Jan 30 - Feb 3 this morning! This is our 3rd trip to DL and we are surprising our kids with this on Christmas morning.

Welcome Talentedmummy. We bought our package to surprise my DD but I couldn't wait any longer and had to tell her before Christmas. :santa:

Wasn't planning on a trip, but got a 40% off post holidays offer in an email and booked DLH premium view room for $264/night first week of january. Been at the other 2 resort hotels, but never DLH yet. Finally! Pumped to see the holiday overlays before they leave as well.

Reservation update...First week of January "breakfast" at Plaza and "dinner" at Carthay listed, but no times are available yet. When this happened in October we were only 1-2 days away from being able to book, could be sooner!

Great News! I'm waiting for WOC Dessert Party and dinner at Wine Country Trattoria for the first week of January. They're showing the same as Plaza and Carthay.

I'll be checking multiple times a day! :goodvibes

sooo.....
I just got a call from The Carnation Cafe
I had made a reservation for a 810 breakfast on Friday Jan 6th and she said that they just got word that the Disneyland was not opening until 9am that day...
Just a heads up but, it also means that the park hours should be posted soon....

We arrive on the 2nd, and I see the posted hours show a 9:00 opening that day, so I guess we can expect that all week. At least we won't have to get up quite so early for Extra Magic Hour! :)

At least the 2nd shows DL is still open until midnight, whereas DCA closes at 8:00.

So started making my reservations, but hard to have a good plan without knowing entertainment schedule for our mid JAN dates...just have to refine them I gues as the calendar eventually rolls out 1 day at a time.

Isn't it frustrating? I'm so excited, I just want to get at it!

And...we shouldn't assume. I assumed that since DL opens at 9:00 on Monday the 2nd and Friday the 6th, it would all week, but the just posted hours for Tuesday the 3rd show it opening at 8:00! I'm just going to have to calm down and let it all roll out. :)

we are waiting to plaza breakfast to open up for our dates -- I don't mind a later opening, 9am suits us just fine!

I was able to make a WOC dessert party reservation for 1-5 and a Carthay Circle for 1-3 (7pm), but Plaza Inn times still not showing for 1-6. I have all of our reservations completed except Plaza and a tour for 1/3 (can't call until 30 days out).

Good luck everyone.
Mike
