You have to have tickets to get the SPD promo. You can pick your package tickets up 3 days before you check in for your package. You could put them all on your package and just get them on the 2nd via a guest services.

Thanks. What I am wondering now is, we don't arrive at Pop until about midnight from our late flight, then we have Crystal Palace 8:00am pre park ADRs the next morning. So where will I be able to pick up our tickets early enough to get into MK at 8?

We will be going to WDW in January over MLK holiday weekend. We are AAA members, FL residents and annual pass holders, plus we have the Disney Visa. Any discounts out yet, or are we still waiting?

Disney Visa holders only get 3-4 days advance to book a promo, so it's still too early for that. If it happens, it would be around Thursday of this coming week.

I'm not sure if there is a sticky somewhere that explains the RO and S/P/D discount. I didn't see anything. Anyway, I see that you get offers with Disney Visa and it looks like you can get it through AAA but do they ever offer either of these deals to the general public?

Ok since the information we have so far is that the date for the public discount is Oct. 8th (based on leaked information). How accurate is this? We have never gone during a time of year where they have discounts so new to this topic. Oct. 8th is a Tuesday and with lines opening at 7am I really think my work would frown upon me being on the phone for as long as it takes me to get through (especially based on the wait times people reported for the fall discounts). I made our reservation so am I the only one that can make changes? My husband will be home for the morning so he has said he could make the call but I am not sure if Disney would allow him to make changes. He is on the reservation but not the the "maker" of the reservation. Could he call? If not, I think I am looking at taking a day off work to make this call so really curious to know how firm the date of Oct. 8th is. I know anything can change at any time but just trying to figure this out. Thanks for any help!

I'd say the information is very accurate based on previous experiences. I plan on being on the phone at 7am myself! As long as your husband has the confirmation number and knows what to ask for in terms of the offer, they will have no problem with him adjusting the reservation since he is listed Good luck!

Keep in mind that the reason fall discounts tied up the phones was for free dining. Of all discounts offered, free dining is the king by a mile.

When we went in June / July 2013 and they released the deal I called almost a week after it was released and we still got the deal and didn't have to change anything as far as our resort etc. I agree it's very exciting, and I am anxious about finding out the deal as well. However, just know that in my past experiences, I've never been told I was too late for a deal...

I'm trying to dig up some of the finer details on what the percentages are at various resorts, as well as which resorts are excluded.

I also called a few weeks after the room only discount was release for last January and I had no problem getting the discount to all 3 of my top choice resorts and room type. I got exactly what I wanted without a problem.

That's how it is. The leaks cause excitement to build for a few weeks and everyone ties up the lines when it's released. But even the initial phone jams, they don't come close to selling out. At most, they may sell out of a popular resort, but usually not even that. Generally POFQ is one that books fastest, but with cancellations that come later, rooms open up after a few days if it does sell out.

Thanks Black562 and everyone else! POFQ is where have a reservation right now and that is the one we want. I have heard that is one that usually fills up the quickest (if they even offer a deal on that resort) so that is what is causing my panic. Still not sure about letting the husband take the reigns on that, plus the idea of taking a day off mid week and getting some things done sounds good too! I know in the end we will be at Disney so whatever happens it will be good!

Anyone know when the exact details will be out? Not till the 8th, or do the details come out first? I know this info is reliable, just curious as to the exact % and exact resorts that will offer a room discount.
