January 2013

Kim -- so glad you got the chance to visit DH's grandmother.

Can some please help me  if we get to WDW on the 12th of January when can I start booking our ADRs? And can you guys recommend some good places to eat at in each park? Not looking for fancy or anything its going to be DH, DD5 and me. And what times are good if you plan on trying to watch the parades and night shows? I am a first timer at this, so I need all the help I can get! Thank you in advance!;)

We also love the Pepper Market at Coronado Springs resort. We enjoy resort hopping to try out the food at the different hotels. We're big fans of Whispering Canyon Cafe. The young ones always seem to like it there.

In the Animal Kingdom, Flame Tree BBQ is a must do for us. The pulled pork sandwich is one of the best I've had any where (no surprise fat in it) and the seating area is beautiful.

At HS, we always go to 50s Prime Time Cafe. Sci-Fi Dine In Theater is a lot of fun too.

In MK, we like Liberty Tree for lunch. Last time we went to dinner, it was Character dining, but I don't think it is any more.

For Epcot, I'd recommend leaving through International Gateway and going to Beaches and Cream at the Beach Club. This would be another fun stop for a 5 yo.

Good thing we don't gain weight from planning the meals! That seems to be half the fun!

DH and I were talking yesterday at breakfast about a possible trip in January 2013, it all depends. So, I'll be subbing to this thread now.

We are presently doing IF treatments again through the end of this year. If we are successful, no trip. If we are unsuccessful we will want a week in WDW to get all happied up again before we go ahead with adoption. If it does work, we'll push the trip at least a year and go with the entire family. I'd rather a baby vs. WDW in this case, but we'll watch for deals regardless.

Happy planning!

Good luck on not being able to go to Disney next January! I also went through IF and I know how hard it is.

If you stay onsite you can make all your ADR's for your entire trip (up to 10 days worth anyway) at 180 days out from your check in date. As opposed to if you are staying offsite you have to make ADR's 180 days out from each day.
So for a 4 day trip that you had an ADR for everyday, you'd have to call 4 days in a row. Does that make sense?

I'll get you added to the first page as soon as I get home today. My fil had spinal surgery yesterday, so I wasn't on the boards much at all, and today my DH wants me to go to work with him. H works for his family's appliance repair business.

I would love a TPV at the BLT. Heck I would even suffer through one at the CR. :lmao: That's what I am trying to convince the DH to do for our January trip.

I'm officially joining in!! I did the Disney marathon this past January and just signed up again for the 20th anniversary. DH and I are staying at the Polynesian (yay!) January 10-16.

Yes Thank You so much!

So I an getting my rough draft made up for our Disney days, I have my list of ADRs and my date to start calling to make my ADRs. My only thing is if I got to start calling at 8am I got to be at work by 8....so I am thinking I need to call off that day? or would it hurt to until the weekend (my ADRS date is 7/16)? What would you do?

I don't know what kind of work you do, but can you do them online at work? I know that if I have school the day that I can book our ADRs, I am just going to do it online at school.
