January 2013

Thank you for updating our trip:flower3:
No worries. I love doing this kind of stuff. This weekend we took the boys to Game Stop to buy them a couple of new games, and plus I needed game time cards for World of Warcraft and Star Wars: the Old Republic. They had taken down all the games in the PS3 section (I think that was the section it was) and were putting the games back in alphabetical order. I told the guy checking us out (we're in there a lot and I know most of the guys by their names) that what they were doing looked like so much fun. I wanted to run over and do it for them. He looked at me and said, "Do you want a job? No really, you can even get game discounts." I once made a database for my inaws VHS collection, with all the movies in alphabetical order, just for fun. They have to have like 700 - 1,000 of them. My DH says that kind of OCD tendancies will really help me when I finally get my computer programming degree.

We're currently slated to be there Jan 13-19 at BLT -- can't wait!

That is where I would love to stay, in a TPV room. The DH is surprisingly leaning toward the GF or the Poly.

I could not agree with your husband more about your organizing skills coming in handy for your degree. How close are you to getting it?

Do you have a sample spreadsheet/database that you like to use when you do your Disney planning that you would like to share?

Not close at all. My school semesters run 16 weeks, divided up into 8 week sessions. I usually only take 2 classes per semester. Unless those 2 classes add up to less than 6 credit hours.

The only spreadsheets I had were for tracking spending money and for ADRs. The spending money I had where it not only tracked how much total I had saved, but then divided it up into each person. So I not only knew how much total spending money I had, but how much of that money went to each person. Then the ADR one kept track of both how many DDP points I had spent and how many I had left. Each were specific to that trip, so I would have to make new ones for a new trip. They wouldn't help you. Although, if you wanted, I can make you one. You would just have to give me some information.

You are far from late, the countdown fun is just beginning :yay:

First trip? Sounds amazing!! :lovestruc

DH really likes the theming at AoA. I think his inner 6 year old wants to stay in the Finding Nemo or Lion King room since they are his favorite Disney movies. Any theme you prefer there?

We will be there Dec 31 - Jan 5 and will be staying at AoA in the Finding Nemo section. I CAN'T WAIT!!! (yes, I was hollering!!) I wake at 2 in the morning thinking about questions I want to ask here (I'm new). I think it is going to be a very long 6 months!

Thanks for the offer. Do you work now? You are missing your calling.

Did everyone see the Disney Blog psot today about Be Our Guest? They might release the menus tomorrow.

Technically, no. I help my mil and fil with what ever they need help with, and am a mom, but that's it. Well and then school.

you might want to take off your personal information before you post it like that

Uh, thanks, but there isn't any personal info on there. The ADR #'s aren't complete, plus they're from last year. it's not like my SS # and address are on there.

You have very important jobs already with your family.

I was just reading easywdw January crowd calendar. I had no idea the first week in January has become so popular since our January 2009 visit. Is this accurate?

I had to cancel a trip for this August so I'm excited that I get to move one of my 2013 trips up a few months. I'm taking my Niece to WDW for her 10th birthday January 15th to 21st.

Should I switch our week going to Disney in January 2013 to the second week? Instead of going January 1-8 should we go January 5-13. What is everyone's experience with crowd levels last year? When we went January 2009 the first week there were no crowds other than avoiding certain parks over Marathon weekend. Now I am hearing/reading the first week in January is very popular because so schools don't go back until January 7, 2013.
