January 2013

I was just going to ask if I missed something on the calendar about EMH. Maybe tomorrow all the details will make it to the calendar. popcorn::

Does anyone know why Extra Magic Hours are not listed under the hours for January 2013 that were just updated?

It's basically the rough draft... it'll be updated. No worries, hours will be extended on some days, and EMH will be added. These are are not final version.

Woo-hoo! Count me in!!! Just put down the deposit for a room at POFQ!!! I'll be there January 4th through the 10th!!!

:cool1::woohoo::woohoo::cool1::yay::banana::banana::banana:

(yeah, I'm just a little excited).

:welcome: & added. I agree, I hope the weather is nice in January.

Thank you for the warm welcome! I hope your January trip works out and that it goes a bit more smoothly. :goodvibes

Thanks for the info. In past years, when have EMH days/extended hours been posted? We are going MLK weekend (probably more likely that hours will be extended then) and heavily rely on EMHs for our planning, so cannot really do anything until then.. :coffee:

I was able to get him to talk about it last night. I never thought he would have wanted to stay there, but I was able to temp him the most by saying we could stay at the Grand Floridian if it was just the two of us. I'll just have to keep price checking.

Hey, Kim!

Please update the 3rd part of our Disney trip. I just booked BLT 1BR Lake View for Jan 20-22nd!:cool1::cheer2:

Gotcha updated. Sounds like it's going to be a great trip!! I'm still trying to convince the DH on a weekend bday trip just the two of us.

Oh Oh, may I join in??

We are planning an amazing trip for our family. We are booked at AoA for Jan 5th through the 11th. Originally had the Lion King suite but switched to 2 joining Little Mermaid Rooms instead. Still have the mini fridge but lost out on the microwave. Save a few hundred bucks though. :thumbsup2 This will be only my 2nd time there but, this will be the very first trip for our 4 kids AND my hubby! So excited for them. I went on an adult only trip for my first trip but tried to see how other parents did it bc I made it a personal goal and dream to get my kids there one day. YAY!

This is the farthest we have gotten planning wise. Tried for years now to plan a trip but things kept coming up that always pushed it back. Thankfully hubby is home.....for now.... and so we are taking full advantage and trying to plan a wonderful family vacation.

Our kids know we are planning but think we are in the save only mode. They dont know that it will be just after New Years. I am thinking of making it a Christmas present that was lost and getting to open it as we pack up the tree before we leave on the 4th. They are helping to pick things they want to do and places to eat. No clue that its closer than they actually think!

I love the idea of the "lost" Christmas present! That will be such a great surprise! I can see your kids under the tree for years to come, searching for that "lost" present again!

The lost gift idea sounds like such a good idea. We drove by AoA a lot on our June trip and it looks so cool!!

Right? I can too! :yay:

Thank you all for the very warm welcomes!! I think the kids are going to absolutely love AoA. My 10yr old is so into drawing. Yesterday he and his brother were outside selling comic books that he had drawn himself. I can see him really taking in all of the amazing drawings at check in. I get so excited thinking about it, I wish it were tomorrow.

I'm going 9th to the 13th, AKL with my daughter who is "Kimpup" on Disboards. We are running in the 5k!!

:welcome: & added. I would love to one day be able to do a marathon at WDW. I just need to get off my rear and get moving.

Well our waitlist came through, so we are currently now booked for January 1-8 at BLT . Depending on the price of flights we may change our dates once we get closer.

Any word on EMH for Janaury 2013? ADR window opens for us next week.
