I'll be running the Tinkerbell 1/2 marathon with my niece (both of our first 1/2 marathons) and we are staying at the Park Vue Inn from Jan 26-31.

Four of my besties and I will be down for 2 days for the Neverland 5k. January 27-28. With only one night I'm hoping to book a stay at the Grand Californian, since splitting it with 4 other people is the only way I'll ever be able to afford a stay.

Also made some more plans with our trip

We are staying at a house as we have 6 adults and 2 kids going.....which we found on vacation rentals by owners

We are thinking we are going to wait to tell our kids about the trip until Christmas morning.....they will be 4 and 6

I was thinking of doing a disney themed scavenger hunt Christmas morning to tell the kids we are going.

I also just bought my wife that travelzoo Spa deal as a surprise for Christmas

Anyways very excited already and can't wait to go

Technically our trip will be from Jan 3-5, although I believe we're only in the park for the 4th (although we're investigating the possibility of adding an additional day).

The holiday season is technically over then, but how quickly do those decorations come down?

We are arriving the 8th and leaving on the 14th. As of now we will be staying at Worldmark Anaheim but if any good deals show up I could be swayed to stay on-site.

hello,

I just found a decent air deal from Seattle so we (2 seven year olds, myself and my husband) are heading down during MLK week. 2012 will be our fourth year of going during that week.

By some miracle, we've always have great luck with weather and ride closures that week. we usually do three days at disney, and then four somewhere else (san diego, Laguna, and palm springs in the previous trips). We go cheap and stay at the Anaheim Plaza.

and here's another bump. I find myself already wondering about ride closures and refurbs even though it is only October. With our trip in mid-jan, we have quite a way to go until they post some info.

Yes, I hope they announce refurb, especially HM, soon. I still have some flexibility in my dates because I haven't bought airfare yet.

DH and I will be there for the 5k which is on our 11th anniversary. We will be there the 27th until the 29th or 30th. We are staying cheap at the Super 8 on Katella. Oh it'll be our first trip without the kids since 1998!!

We haven't officially booked however dh said we should look into sometime between January and March. So excited!

I will be there with my boyfriend January 3 - 5, staying at Motel 6. We usually stay at Hojo but we will be bringing our dog this trip so Motel 6 it is. I've never stayed there but the newly redesigned rooms look nice (they remind me of Ikea). Also this is my first trip during Christmastime.

This trip can't get here fast enough!! Even with all the construction that will be going on, there is so much at DCA that I'm excited about. On our last trip, TSMM wasn't open yet and I know my kid is going to go nuts over it. It will be the first trip he remembers (he was 7 months old for his first one, and now he'll be 4). It will be our first stay at the Grand Californian, and in the Villa's to boot! I'm so excited to show him the place my husband and I love so much!
I'm keeping my fingers crossed (but not holding my breath) that the holiday overlays for HM and IASW will be removed. I REALLY REALLY want to take him on IASW! Since we don't get to visit very often, it may be the only trip that he really enjoys it.
