January 2011!!

I also looked at 2 local orlando news stations and like them as well.

I only panic because being from CA, I don't have a lot of "cold" and "layer" clothing.

I have a lot to figure out!

We have a cold front coming through Florida so bring lots of layers. Living in Southwest Florida, I also don't have "cold weather" clothing. (My daughter lives in downtown Orlando so I just got the weather report from her as were are thinking of running up there this weekend.)

Saturday - Sun and clouds, low of 37 and high of 57
Sunday - sun and low of 49 and high of 64
Monday - sun with clouds, low of 60 and high of 73
Tuesday - chance of rain, low of 53 and high of 53

I am fairly happy with those temps above, i can stand cold... just not cold and wet! :rotfl:

hopefully things go well!

as I said before, just happy to be there!

9 more days - down to single digits!!! I can't wait! It's supposed to be MINUS 7 degrees here in Western New York this weekend - so I can't wait for some warmer weather!!!

FYI for those who are coming down and haven't checked the weather yet, here's the Accuweather.com long range forecast...

1/30 - high 70, lo 46, rain
1/31 - high 62, lo 44, partly cloudy
2/1 - high 62, lo 51, mostly cloudy
2/2 - high 70, lo 53, mostly cloudy
2/3 - high 75, lo 52, rain
2/4 - high 69, lo 55, partly cloudy

We'll see if that holds. I don't even mind some rain; I expect it this time of year. Even a lo of 44 sounds good compared to MINUS FREAKING 7!!!

We leave in 6 hours. The girls had a two hour delay so the snow came last night and hopefully we should be goo driving. The forecast has made it a little cooler but anything beats the 12 degrees it was last night.

I saw this forecast and then you look at weather.com and they have 0% chance of rain on 1/31. Its crazy how different than can be. I am hoping weather is right..I don't want to do AK in the rain. I am not believing anything I read until late next week.

Tomorrow we leave , well actually we head to the airport at 2 AM !!!
:cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::banana::banana::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::yay::yay::yay:

Checked In for my flight and very grateful to get boarding group A!! (Southwest)

Can't wait to be there! We leave early tom and check in tom evening!

I love AK in the rain - because the animals love the rain, too! The safari is awesome in the rain, as are the nature walks. There are also lots of inside things to do - Dinosaur, It's Tough to be a Bug, the Nemo and Lion King shows... and a meal at Tusker House. If I were you, I'd still go...

Oh yes we still would go..really don't have a choice we have ADRs scheduled for that day so Sun 1/30 is our AK day no matter what the weather...Tough to be a Bug is out dd3 would be terrifed and me as well from what I hear.. I was just saying that because it seems like everyone on here say how terrible AK is in the rain...it is strange though how there are so many different forecasts I don't mind some rain either just doing want pouring rain hopefully though if it does rain it will clear out the parks.

Do the sharpies bleed through the pages of the autograph books?? Thinking about maybe buying some of those tonight when we are headed out of town.

The didn't on the autograph books we had, but they weren't ones we bought in the park. We used ones that I bought at Walmart (they had a foam cover) and I personalized them. The paper was fairly thick.

Hope that helps!

We just got back last week from WDW. We were there Jan 1 - 10. The weather forecasts were all over the place, predicting all day rains for at least 2 of our days. The weather looked cool also. We packed for everything. The forecasters were all wrong! We had absolutely beautiful weather. The rain never came....although the skies darkened, it sprinkled for a minute or two but that was it. We took our ponchos and never used them. We wore either long-sleeved tee shirts or regular T's the entire trip with a hoodie at night.

Don't worry about the rain....even if it is a rainy day, wear your rain gear and have fun! Look at this way...rain scares many people away; you will have low crowds. Have a great time!:thumbsup2

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 You made me feel much better thank you. I guess a rainy day at Disney is much much better than a cold yucky snowy day at work.

Oh boy did I need to hear this!!! When we were there for my son's wish trip our kids got the noro virus, and that landed us out of commision for two days, then our last two days it rained..no it RAINED!!! Like enourmous torrential floods of rain. We only did 2 days of WDW...which is why we are going back. Now every day I look and it says rain for our whole week :( I really needed to hear it will still be fine, unless the torrential floods return :)

Finally here at OKW after 2 flight cancellations and a switch to another airline. I definitely needed the rum runner at Gurgling Suitcase!

so excited we leave in about 7 hours!

We are going to celebrate my princess crazy youngest dd's 3rd birthday. Its going to be so much fun!!!!

Wow 7 hours ! For me it's 2 days and 7 hours ! I can't wait !!!

6 days ! I am going crazy!!! We went last year and it was cold and rainy. This year we are going one week earlier than we were there last year and the forecast has it again, cool and rainy for 4 of the 7 days we are there. :sad1: I know we are still going to be in Disney and it isnt going to be cold and snowy like it is here, but COME ON!!!!!!! I am going to Florida! I really hope we get some sunshine! Being in the parks with two little kids in the rain all day looses some of the magic for me. Last year we still did have a great trip. I know we will again, but it would be extra magical for me if these forecasts change and give us some sun!!

8 more days! Let the packing commence!! :thumbsup2

And... I can't get that thumbs down off this post! Oops... certainly not intentional...

I know how you feel. What happened to the beautiful forecast that was up earlier this week. Hopefully it will change a bit..I don't mind some rain but not 4 days of it. Ugh I guess we just have to make the best of it..maybe it will clear out the parks for us more:thumbsup2
