January 2010 at DL resort! Official thread....who's all going?

Hello everyone!!!!!!!!:cool1::cool1::banana::banana:
I have not had much time to :surfweb: in the past several days...sorry.

Are we all ready DL Januarian's :cheer2:

Anyhow to answer your question Peg In The Pound

I am not to worried about the weather in January at this point. I have been to DL for the past 6 January's and it has always been good weather, mostly on the cool side however there was the freak year where it was in the upper 80's and low 90's for a couple of the days in January which I was not too pleased about. The only January I saw rain was in 2005 and it was not a very large amount, we just bundled up and put on a poncho, and had fun in the almost empty parks.
I can see where it would be a concern for you seeing as how you have little ones. I would not want to be out in the rain all day with little ones as it tends to make them cranky.
I will keep my fingers an toes crossed that all of us Januarian's have wonderful not too cold and not too hot weather.

I feel like singing that song............

It's the final count down............ followed by............

We're walking right down the middle of Main St USA, it's the heart of America the heart beat of a holiday, and for the time of your life you outta find yourself here you're welcome every time you have the mind to appear, we're walking right donw the middle of Main St USAAAAAAA
Tell your mother she's not too worry cause no ones rushing there's no big hurry, you're never alone or left out in the cold there is always someone there to pick you up.

And of course a little Zippadee doo dah

I have been making all my dining plans and setting up the secret surprise bash for our daughters sweet 16 Celebration....I so can't wait...........

I requested one of the newly renovated rooms at the DLH and if I get it I will take soooooooo many pictures and share them with you all when I return to get all the late Januarian's pumped up.

How does Arnold Swartzenegher (sp) say it?????? I'm here to pump you up....lol

Ok I know I am being super dorky but that is just who I am......just plain goofy silly....yep that's me and DL brings out the best of it in me.

Hey that last saying should be my tag....my super silly colored purple tag from the tag fairy...LOL :rolleyes1 :wizard:

TinkandPooh that totally cracked me up. I'm off to watch the Disneyland Sing-Along Songs DVD!

Thanks, TinkandPooh, for talking me off of the ledge about the weather.
I will try not to think about it again until we start packing.
And I TOTALLY agree with Lisaradz...you are a cut-up!
I can't believe that January is right around the corner.
We are creeping closer and closer!
They posted the hours for our first night there.
Time to start intensive planning.
However, I am sad that we will be missing IASW again!
By just a few days!
My family's reaction to the news:
:mad::sad1::mad::sad1::mad::sad1::mad::woohoo:
(The happy dance belongs to my DH.)
That's twice in less than two years!
I guess we really DO have to return next December.
And special thanks to pixiewings71 for the Fairy Godmailer.
:thumbsup2

Hey Everyone! It's sneaking up on me! I'm ususally way more excited, but with all the holiday mumbo jumbo my trip to disney seems to be on the backburner.

Yay, next month we're going to Disney!!!!:banana::banana:

Ok, maybe I am still excited!

I'll be in DL on Jan 11th--one month from tomorrow! We're going to LA to see Mary Poppins and then we get to stay in the Villas at the Grand Californian for the first time. I wish I could go to DL for more than one day, but one is better than none.

So have you ever skipped down Main St USA singing that song? Or has anyone for that matter?

No problema...that's what we fellow DISers are here for.....you know to support one another with our DL obssesions by giving advice when needed and sharing past experiences when needed.

I am so excited to hear about all our Januarian's trips:banana::banana::banana::banana:......see the banana...that's me filled with happiness and anticipation...LOL:lmao:

I hear what you are saying about it being on the back curner a tad because of Christmas and what not....I have days where I feel like that for a moment and then I stop and think.....OH YEAH I am going to DL not too long after Christmas.........and then I realize how totally cool that really is (hey I got my Crush on...you know with the "totally cool" type talk) Guess I must be thinking about Turtle talk with Crush.

DL for 1 day is better than DL for 0 days so I say yeah!!!!!:cool1::thumbsup2

You will love the GCH villas.........so beautiful!!!!!!

And yeah for another Januarian we are super happy to have you along for the January ride!!:cool1:

We ask that for your saftey that you keep your hands, arms, legs, and all other body parts inside the January ride vehicle at all times, and most of all hang on and enjoy your January DL ride:woohoo:

I am way excited about the villas. We have stayed in the GCH on points a few times and knew that as soon as they added a DVC there we'd add-on, which we did. We were in DL last Feb and they had the model rooms--gorgeous! So, this is our first stay in the villas. I'm as excited about that as I am about the parks. Now I need to decide if we want to make any dining ressies. There is a chance that we'll go into the park for a second day, but haven't decided that yet. We fly home that Tues, but not until 7:30, so we really could have most of a day in the parks. Can't decide if we want to relax and enjoy the resort and DTD, or play in the parks.

Getting excited!!! :yay: 21 more sleeps... :woohoo: We arrive at LAX about 10:30am. Hopefully will be at the hotel to drop off luggage around noon. If all goes well, I hope we can still get into the park around 12:30 - 1 pm. Hopefully it does not hit capacity before we get there....:crowded:

I'm going to disneyland from 1/26-1/30. Been to wdw in 1/08, 1/09, and 12/09. First time back to Anaheim since I was a kid in 1987. Staying at hojo. Will be in Vegas for a few days prior to california. Beyond excited about seeing the original park. :)

anyone else from Ohio?

34 days... :cool1: It seemed like just yesterday when I was doing the 3 months to go dance!

Anyway, I can't wait!

I've made our PS for Blue Bayou and am waiting till the 30 day mark to book our Cruzin California tour!:thumbsup2

And the park is open a lot longer than I was originally planning.

I've since found out that it is Martin Luther King Jnr Day, Jan 18th, is that right? Does everyone get a day off for this?

34 days for us as well...looks like we'll be there at the same time!

Purchased my AP today and am already thinking when we should go back in the fall.

Hey mom I'm just posting really quick to say hi and see how my signature looks^^ and hello everyone else im new! Well im not really new, but this is a new account.

Hoping for good weather (at least not too much rain). I do not know what to expect for crowds. Given the park hours, I am guessing they are not expecting too many people to be there then as we will have just missed the holiday decorations/overlays.

Posting a reply so I can check out my countdown ticker, getting really close!
I feeling a little overwhelmed with such a big trip coming so soon after Christmas, I'm going to rethink this plan if I ever do it again. With so much going on with Christmas I feel I can't adequately prepare. Plus, we're leaving on Thurs to go to DC for a long weekend, and DH has nursing finals this week.

Usually I'm a good planner, maybe I got carried away this time!:sad2:

Wow! Lots of new Januarians!
Yippee!
I think I got most of my Christmas stuff done
(although we are VERY low key about it)
but budget season at work seems like it just won't come to an end
so I haven't really been able to plan at all.
I just subscribed to Ridemax
(figured it would be worth it since we are planning on returning 12/10)
and my dates aren't available yet. DRAT!
Should be some time this week.
Mom of a *Princess*... can I ask you a question?
(I just haven't combed the boards looking for the answer.)
When you purchase your annual pass,
is the start date when you purchase it or your first day in the park?
Just curious.
Thanks!

Peg in the Pound- The first day of use is the first day for your AP term.

ebtbmom- I hear you about feeling unprepared for DL. I can barely keep up with all the Christmas shopping and pre-parties/events right now...At least I will have a few weeks after the holidays to hopefully get myself ready. Hopefully you can take some time during the holidays to relax and do some planning. You can also post any questions on the disboards...I've found people to be so helpful and informative.

We're finally decorating our christmas tree. Our tree has been up for the last 2weeks but we just haven't found the time to decorate...today is a snowy cold day so we are staying in and keeping warm.
