Hi Snowbirds!
We just got back yesterday!
We had an amazing time. For Disney newbies I think we did okay and made the most of our short time there.
The weather was perfect while we were there. The crowds were a bit more than I expected but after talking to my sister who went over spring break I'm thinking maybe they weren't as bad as I thought at the time.
Here's our trip blog if anyone is interested. I haven't written the last day yet. We went to the Magic Kingdom for a breakfast at the Crystal Palace. It was wonderful! Then we went on Buzz Lightyear because the girls hadn't gone on it and I thought they'd enjoy it. We did a couple of bonus rides and then headed out and got sidetracked by a spontaneous street performance by the opening ceremony dancers.
I think the thing I loved about Disney the most was Main Street and how special it felt with the castle looming and the way the cast members tried to make every family feel important and special.
We can't wait to go back! We certainly left enough undone that we'd feel like everything was new and different again.
This board and the guide book were so vital to us having a good time. We had so much fun at the character dinners and I didn't feel like we had to meet all the characters in the park and stand in lines if we didn't want to. There were so many people who were turned away from restaurants because they didn't have reservations. Also, just knowing about the different rides and attractions, and how fast pass worked was great. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't perfect, and we were on a steep learning curve, but I think it still made a huge difference.
Anyways, here's the blog:
