I posted a pic a while back of them:goodvibes

I'd love to see everyone's shirts. I still have to make one for my daughter since it's her first trip. A wonderful DISigner made me the cutest "My First Trip" design!

Oh and I promised my sister (who has time to DIS but not call me back BTW!:rolleyes1 ) one with the castle on it.

I didn't know you called!!! I just checked my messages. Sorry. I also got your PM but when i tried to send one back it said I can't because I have less than 10 posts. Guess that's what I get for just being a lurker. And I haven't gotten rid of my bouncing pumpkin because I don't know how, (don't you laugh at that)

Speaking of bouncing Mickey's....what are we going to do now that Christmas is over?? :sad1: I love the bouncing Mickey!

well, you'll just have to post more!! Then you can PM all of us! Glad you're joining in the fun!
Now go call your sister!

Who was the nice snowbird who posted a while back the snowbirds by resort?
I remember I had been trying to write down from one of Shelly's lists who was going to CBR around the same time as me and then that list came up! Now I can't find it.
Thanks!

I can't remember who it was either but I wouldn't mind seeing who else is going to CBR at the same time. How will we find each other? I know what Shelly looks like from her surprise thread pics she posted. So I guess she should be prepared for a bunch of crazy Snowbirds running up to her in the food court and calling her Mama Snowbird!:rotfl:

Page 211 has all the snowbirds listed with the dates they are going and where they are staying. It seems to be listed more by date than by resort though

Don't encourage her. Once hits 10 pming is just another way for her to bug me. Right now I can bug her without her bugging me back. Yes I am the typical little sister.

Anyone have a snow/winter one to replace the bouncing mickey?

I went back to the list on p 211 (thanks!) and found a bunch of us at CBR at the same times.

I did end up getting into LeCellier but I've been calling all day :rotfl: Not for dinner just for lunch but I'll keep calling and hoping something for dinner opens up. I didn't get it for 5 either just 4 but the CM told me to arrive early and they should accomodate me I may just have to wait a little longer.

I also did Sci Fi for lunch on 1/14. I think my kids will enjoy sitting in the car and am hoping we'll just go to DTD to Wolf Gang Puck Express for the nights meal or at least that's what I'm planning :)

Thanks for all of you who encouraged me to keep calling...I was successful at last!

Happy New Year to all of you!!!

We ended up with a weird time for our Mama Melrose pkg dinner - 3:30! Plus we were a party of 6 so that didn't help much. That was the only time for the pkg that they had on our day. I figured that would be our one big meal of the day. It's probably worse because they aren't having Fantasmic as often in January, so people want that special seating deal.

I wish every Snowbird a wonderful and magical vacation!:wizard:

I really wonder about the crowds too. I have read on other rumor sites that some are saying that reservations are really down and others say that they are really up:crowded: . I guess we will only know when Snowbirds start reporting back. I am hoping for the less crowds.

Two funny things have me scratching my head on if it will be crowded when our family goes.

1. My MIL and Aunt and Uncle in law are coming down for two nights on the 27th and 28th of January:cool1: . I called a few weeks ago and obtained an excellent time reservation of 5:30pm at Spoodles for the 27th. Then MIL asks me a few days ago to add the Aunt and Uncle. I called back last night and asked now for a table of 7 instead of the 5 I originally booked for. The CM said sorry there are no tables available at that time for 7 people :scared1: :scared1:   ! My mind was racing at what the crowd :crowded: level would be. The CM then said let me look to see if there is another time that would be available for a group of 7 people. I hold my breath for what seems like eternity and she comes back to say that there is a table for 7 available for 5:15pm. :rotfl2: :rotfl: I almost laughed in her face. She sounded so serious that there was nothing available then comes out with this. I of course took it right away.

2. My MIL phoned this morning to try to book the $49.00/night special offer for a room at POP. She was told that all the standard rooms are full so she could be offered the preferred for $72.00/night. She of course takes it. I don't know if it means that all the cheap rooms are now booked but I do believe that regular price for preferred are around $94.00 per night. I am a wee bit jealous that they will be staying in a room closer to everything for only $7.00 more than our AAA package price. Sorry for my green eyed monster to start showing. I am glad though since if we are planning a Grand Gathering they won't be stuck in the boonies and not like the place. We don't mind walking.

Anyway, what do you think this all means? Do you think they are going to be really crowded? Why would Disney offer this better rate for preferred rooms? Wouldn't you think that if they are all sold out that they would want people to pay full price for the preferred rooms? I am so confused by all of this.

I also received good news from my travel agent that our package information is now in and ready to pick up. I have next Thursday morning off so I will go in and look it all over with her and make certain all my questions are answered. I have emailed her but she has yet to respond back (she has been on vacation herself and only quickly popped in to the office today for a bit). I asked her if my husband who is laid off from a GM plant but the plant is not called GM but at test track they do show their vehicles made there-both Chevrolet and Pontiac, what ID to show to obtain passage into the lounge area, or if he qualifies.

I wish every Snowbird a happy, healthy and safe night tonight.

Remmy

Yeah I agree there. 4pm is so early for dinner! But we'll probably pick up snacks at DD or Boardwalk after the show! I sense maybe a Goofy's Candy Co run :cloud9:

And I just noticed I have 12 posts till I stop earning my ears! :dance3: I may be able to do that today!

I had that happen to me when trying to get into Chef Mickey's. I said a table for two, breakfast around maybe 9:30-9:45am. She comes back with "10:10am" and says how sorry she is. :rotfl2: Like I'm going to be less hungry if I wait 20 min.

well, then lets keep chatting! Earn those ears! I have to kill a half hour before I can go home and clean and cook for my party and I have NO work to do.
I was perusing the Disney website looking at DTD and thinking - how late are the shops usually open? I know I've been there in the evening when it was dark, but it gets dark fairly early in winter, so I have no idea what time it was.

I was just wondering that myself! :scratchin

According to PassPorter's boards the shops generally stay open until 11pm and the restaurants usually till midnight or beyond, like House of Blues sometimes is open till 2am depending on entertainment.
