Well we are back from dinner.... we ended up going to Smokey Bones (DS loves it there) and I ended up getting a burger and not a steak.... I could only eat about 1/2 of it and no fries... so I guess my nervous belly would have been wasted on a steak. Now I am going to get in my PJ's and watch NCIS... they are so cute.... have a good night friends!!!!!

Wendy - Please know that I am praying for you. It is okay to be nervous. G was nervous with his last surgery and he's been through quite a few in the last 2 years. You will be just fine.

Hey everyone! My best friend and I will be going from Jan. 12-21st. It's my first time going in January and her first time going ever! It's right before I start the Disney College Program :) We'll be staying at the POP which looks awesome
:welcome: That sounds so fun! Congrats on the CP. I have to research and get my DD7 to do it in about 11 years! :)

Good Evening Snowbirds,

I just want to :welcome: all the new Snowbirds. It seems every time Momma Snowbird posts the list, it keeps on growing!

I would like to clarify what I have written before. I was just posting what they stated in that one podcast. Never once do they give out their sources so I guess we will only know if they are correct once we start arriving down there and can confirm.

Thanks for listening to my raving. I hopefully will be better tomorrow.

Remmy

PS Remmy is only my DIS name. DD was watching Ratatouille too and she wanted this name.

I was listening to that podcast too. I can only hope it won't be crowded, but you never know. Thanks for the info on your name too! I figured it probably wasn't your real name, but I've seen enough unusual ones to never presume so. I hope your Canadian $ gets better to make the trip easier on your wallet. It must be complicated trying to budget when it changes all the time. Hang in there!!

Thanks! I'm so excited  I'm pretty sure that i'm going to have such a good time that i'll never want to leave!

I just have to say that I love your user picture thingy. Welcome aboard and good luck with the CP! I wanted to do that so bad, but money had been tight in my family and a few other things, so I never got the chance...:sad1:

Thanks! That's really funny, it's good you're planning ahead :rotfl:

Thanks, i'm thinking about getting it tatooed on me someday (I love Neverland). Thanks for the well wishes. I'm actually doing the CP because money is tight. I'm taking a year off from school to work so I can pay for college. I want to work for Pixar someday so I figured this connection with Disney would help.

ME TOO! :cool1: In fact, I will probably be meeting up with Sharadoc et al for the MK parade! At this exact moment .....in 7 weeks! :woohoo: I am so excited I will do my happy dance! :dance3: :cheer2: :yay: :cool1: :laundy: woops, how'd that sneak in there? Well, better get back to it...the laundry won't do itself! :goodvibes

COOL - can't wait!! Only 49 days for us :woohoo:

46 more days here. Was really excited until I talked to my sister-in-law today and told her about our upcoming trip and how we were nervous about flying. She looked at me and told me that she has been having nightmares about a plane crashing, great I said, great. Why would she have to go and say something like that at this stage of the game. She never knew prior to today that we were even going, she had been dreaming this for the past several months now. I could never tell someone that. :confused3

Needless to say, I'm a tad bit frustrated about her actions.

Yeah, I can see why!! That's awful. I guess I would have kept my mouth shut about that. Why give you something else to worry or stress about? I hope you can let it go and not let it bother you too much. :flower3:

Ugh! I hate when I can't sleep. Thank goodness for handheld electronics. I can surf the net and watch a movie all without leaving my bed and disturbing everyone.

I hope you all are resting peacefully.

34 more sleeps!

Good Morning Snowbirds,

I think some of us were a flock of a same feather last night. I have a terrible cold and was up and down with coughing spells. It is rough when you can't receive enough sleep.

Remmy's Disney Countdown:

53 more sleeps until we are there :cool1:
22 more sleeps until Christmas and my 8 days of vacation
7 1/2 more weeks until we are there :yay:

I think I like counting by weeks, it seems so much faster!

I wish everyone a happy and healthy day.:flower3:

How horrible! I wouldn't worry too much about flying. Just think of how much FASTER you're getting to Disney!!!

Good morning Snowbirds!

I'm feeling a little under the weather today. Nothing major, just a nasty sore throat and headache.

Everyone please remember to keep Maggied (Wendy) in your thoughts and prayers today. :grouphug:

Good morning, all! Here's to Wendy, a successful surgery and a quick recovery! :drinking1 (OK, it's early, the toast should look more like this: :coffee: ).

Look at my ticker:

1 MONTH TO GO!

I want Samantha Brown's job. (it would be easier if I didn't have children though.)
Me too. She has children, and from what I hear they travel with her.

QOTD:
I'd say for me a disney cruise, or visting Up of Michigan or even Henry Ford museum in Dearborn MI. Although I'd like to revist Wash DC as last trip was my first airplane ride and was a class trip. I'd also love to vist Philly someday.
Sorry I have to :lmao:. No really there is a lot to see in philly.
Right now we have a world series cup! :thumbsup2

Great QOTD! I love to travel. I enjoy the annual Caribbean cruises that my DH and I take in the winter. I enjoy traveling to Maine to visit my brother and his family. And I enjoy traveling to Central America to do mission/service work. Did I mention that I love to travel?

I am hoping to go a on a crusie to grand turk this spring.

I loved when I lived in Philadelphia. I'm out in the rural/suburbs now. There is SO much to see and do in that city. The history is awesome. The coolest part is all of the Ben Franklin stuff - there's basically a city block dedicated to him. His house was there (now it's just an outline). But there's a fantastic museum and film about him, all of his major inventions. Plus on street level, there's the original post office and print shop that he ran. Independence Hall is cool, too and the new Constitution Center is awe-inspiring. If you want to drive, there is Valley Forge park where you can see Washington's Headquarters house, and walk around the battlefields.

Plus, the food and entertainment. And so much within 2 hours in all directions - you can go to New York, Lancaster, Hershey, Gettysburg (another awe-inspiring place to visit for American History), and New Jersey shore/Atlantic City.

You'd think I worked for the tourist agency! :rotfl: But I do love Philly. I would absolutely recommend it.

Good Morning Snowbirds! :cool1: :cool1:

Sending pixie dust to Wendy pixiedust: ...praying that everything goes smoothly and recovery is quick!

:welcome: to the new Snowbirds!

QOTD...or rather, question of yesterday, I'm just late...well, now I want to go to Philadelphia! :lmao: Really, it's only 2 or 3 hours from here so it wouldn't be that difficult. Beyond that...anywhere! We love to travel also. Beaches, mountains, cities, rural, cruises, domestic or international, you name it. (not that we've been all those places, but we'd like to go.) DH is military (hence our upcoming stay at SOG!) so we've had the opportunity to live in both Europe and Asia and enjoyed traveling around there. Of places we haven't been, probably at the top of my list would be Australia (after Philly, of course!). We looked into it when we lived in Korea, but it's hardly any closer to Australia from Korea than from California...who knew? :confused3

Good morning. My thoughts and prayers go out to maggied today on her surgery.

I can't believe how close we're all getting to our trips! It's so exciting! I'm at 52 days and that's amazing. It seems like just yesterday that I was celebrating being in double digits.

Good morning Snowbirds!!! Long time, no post! Been super busy here but I do try to get in and read what's going on with my fellow January travelers.

I had some airline drama yesterday. I found out my nighttime flight was changed to a daytime one! Yikes, that can't happen! I totally lost it! I've been so stressed and tired lately and I really felt bad for the person at Delta that they had to deal with me. I was polite but on the verge of tears. They really couldn't find me a better flight. The flight that was canceled was their only night flight out of that airport. So after I cleared my head I remembered that I live near MANY airports (duh!). So I checked LAX and sure enough they not only had a night flight but it was non-stop!

Called Delta back and they switched me to that one and I got a $95 voucher towards another trip within the next year! Plus this one lands about 3 hours sooner so that is more time in WDW for me!!

I can't wait for this vacation! I really need a break even if I'm going to run a marathon, it has to be more relaxing than things are now!

Shelly I hope you get to feeling better! I'm just getting over the headache and sore throat thing.
I'm doing better now that I'm on antibiotics...still a bit headachy, but at least the kidneys are hurting as bad as they were..which is a very good thing. Just have to keep chugging that water and drinking some cranberry stuff LOL!!!
