That's what we said we'd do- but we're so excited for this trip, it pacifies us!
We're already talking our next trip and we haven't even gone on this trip.
:rotfl:

Sounds like us!! Going on the cruise we're taking qualifies us for a bounceback deal for a 3 day cruise for $99 and we're booking WDW too - probably early Dec. 09 so we can see Christmas decorations. :)

QOTD: Gas is $1.54 here, $1.49 near where I work. I didn't expect it to drop below $2 in my lifetime and look at us! Like someone else said, I wish there were a way to stockpile it to save it for our trip! When we started planning this trip, the AAA fuel estimator said it would cost about 250 round trip, now its saying about $175! PLEASE don't let it shoot back up between now and then! Carrie-$8??? How could anyone afford to go anywhere. I'd have to call into work "broke!"

Sharadoc-I feel for your DD. Some parents!! I remember when I was at a friends house (we were probably 8 or so). We were watching the Wizard of Oz and my friend did a cartwheel in the living room (I don't know if I was doing them or not) and she hit a table and broke a figurine...well her mom took her in the back bed room and swatted her with the belt!!! My parents spanked, but NEVER with a belt! I was MORTIFIED!!! I'll never forget that to this day.

Hello my feathered snowbird friends!

Gas here in my neck of the WI woods is $1.74. I won't fill up my tank as the gas keeps changing price every day. I do like the fact that it only will cost $28 to fill my Grand Am up!

I love hugging Mickey at the parks!

I also wear my Athen Flip flop crocs whenever I can. I got mine at a Cabela's store for 50% off!! Bought 2 pair just because. Regarding socks with crocs...I'm sorry, I love to "people watch" and I just went on a bus trip to a mall in Illinois. While we were shopping and people watching, "socks with crocs" was worth 1 point. People shopping in Pj pants was another point. If I would have had my picture taken with the man with his pinp-striped RED suit, I would have got 10 points.

I just read about the on-line check in...I will be getting in on a Tuesday around 1:00pm. I don't think I'm going to check in online as it shouldn't be a busy time..and I paid for preferred. I will take my chances.

The snow is now off the roads and it looks very pretty here. I don't put up any decorations for xmas until AFTER Thanksgiving, so I've got a couple of days to put away my pumpkins:rolleyes1 I do want to start wrapping my presents that I have purchased and see what I will be buying on Black Friday!!

Well, I'm off to finish stamping my xmas cards. More tomorrow night.

I need some help....

I am very confused about the Extra Magic Hours at the Magic Kingdom on January 4th. It says 'up to three hours', but it doesn't exactly state whethere it is one, two or three extra hours.

Does anyone know where to find an answer?:confused3

It's a standard three hours barring something extremely unusual. Just as they reserve the right to change park hours, they reserve the right to shorten EMH. But not on a regular basis.

Oooh in Extra Magic Hour news I just read this on the wdwinfo site
EVENING EMH WRISTBAND DISTRIBUTION ENDED

Disney has eliminated distributing wristbands to their resort guests staying for evening Extra Magic Hour. Be sure to have your resort ID as it it will be required at the attractions.

That happened a couple of months ago, I believe. There were a whole lot of threads on the Theme Park forum for a while. There were mixed reviews - some people thought showing the KTTW card was awful and slow, and others said it was no big deal. I think everyone will just get used to it.

QOTD - I'd love to hug the Monsters Inc folks, too, or maybe Dory.

Hey Hey Hey to all my snowy friends out there! Life just seems to keep getting more and more busy! I really don't have too much time to keep up with you all right now! I just wanted to drop and say hello and let you know that I am still here and thinking of you all! Hope everyone has a wonderful day tomorrow! :goodvibes

Hey I think I basically have one person done for Christmas! HAHA!!!:woohoo: I am making my friend a calendar, so that's what I did tonight. I uploaded the pictures I wanted and found all the quotes to use, and put it together on snapfish. So now it's just final "tweaking" and then printing!

Anywho, I'm off to slumberland now. Everyone have a wonderful Tuesday. "See" ya tomorrow.:goodvibes

I can't believe some of you are talking about MAILING your Christmas cards already. I haven't even thought of cards yet. I guess I'll just snap a cute pic of the kids and go to Walgreens and have cards made up. I'm notorious for waiting until the last minute, though. Last year I spent a small fortune on professional pix of the kids and had them mk the cards. They were still sitting on my counter Christmas morning. I just handed them out to family and sent the others by New years. I though Andy was going to kill me! :confused3

Exactly two months and we'll be at CBR! :yay:
And one month until Santa comes down the chimney! :upsidedow

I'm with you! At least this year. I have no idea what I'm doing for cards this year. Usually we do a picture card with the kids. Last year I made a collage and a letter since we traveled a lot and visited people - lots of pics. This year, NO CLUE! The best pictures are from last January (on a cruise), but they seem so old and the kids have actually changed.
I'm only 2 days behind you to CBR!! WAHOO!!

I went to our local Disney Store on my lunch today. DH said we had bought enough , so only could we get things if they were really discounted. I figured we were save because nothing would be too discounted this close to christmas.... WRONG!!!
We bought....
2008 Mickey Christmas Wreath ::MickeyMo
2008 Tinkerbell tree Topper - her wings light up, they had her dressed in green as a Tinker or in her original white dress. I chose Tinker dress!:tink:
2008 Tinkerbell tree ornament in white dress $7.00
Set of 4 bugs life pins $6.99
Pair of Belle Sandals/shoes that light up for $8.99 ( DD is getting the yellow dress for christmas)
DH bought the wreath and tree topper they were 40%.
:cool1:

I have the wreath from last year. I was so excited to put it up this weekend. Every day DH says "I can't wait for Disney". :cool1:

Morning Snowbirds.

I'm out and about this morning already. I'm searching the store shelves for some hard to find Disney/Pixar Cars for DS. I've had luck so far. Just waiting for Target to open to hopefully find some more gems. The things I do for my son. :)

Have a great day!

Morning snowbirds! I've now been on hold for 25 minutes, trying to talk to a nurse in the clinic where I had surgery. This is not so awesome.

Okay, so first I was 2nd in line, to talk to a person... who put me on hold, then took my information, then transferred me to the nurses line.

Of course, I did call first thing in the morning - what did I expect?

Well as far as mailing my Christmas cards, if I'm going to take the time and make them...on Friday it took me 4 hours to just cut the paper pieces I'm going to need...not even put them together and stamp them which is tomorrow's endeavor...then by golly I'm going to make sure they get mailed out LOL!! Last year I only handmade like 10 to get a feel for it, this year its 50. Although I picked a very simple design so the overall cost is only going to be about 10 dollars for all 50 cards...of course I have to go buy stamps tomorrow LOL!!

Have a great day everyone!!

Good morning Snowbirds!

:yay: One day until DH's birthday! :yay:

:goodvibes Two days until Thanksgiving! :goodvibes

:santa: One month until Christmas and we can tell the boys!! :santa:

:cool1: 8 weeks from right now I will be boarding the plane to WDW!!! :cool1:

Is something wrong or is it just a routine call? I hope you're okay!

Something is kind of wrong, though probably not major. I'm just trying to get clarification on "do I need to come to the hospital for the exam, since I'm not even 2 weeks post-op or can I go to my regular doctor?"

After a lengthy hold, the nurse said "Hmm, I don't know. I'll have to ask a doctor." But she then agreed that I could make an appointment with my regular office while waiting to hear back.

(My appointment is at 9:45... I don't know that I'll hear back before then!)

Worst case scenario is a week of antibiotics so it's nothing really really awful!!

Thanks!!

How exciting!!! One month till Christmas, though - egads!! I gotta get cracking!!

Are you going to take pictures of your boys reactions?!

Two days till Thanksgiving and I get to meet my niece!
One month till Christmas! (with two work parties and one friend party in between!)
One month and 3 days till Mom's birthday
One month and 6 days till MIL's birthday
One month and TEN days until MY birthday!!
fourty-five days until DISNEY! And we're paid in full!! We're REALLY REALLY GOING!!!

regarding a hug from a character...I'm a Mr. Incredible kinda girl myself. The last 2 trips-for some unknown reason everytime we meet the incredibles the camera battery dies, or the pic doesnt come out and its too dark-my mission this trip is a family superhero pose with The Incredibles. :wizard:
