January 2009. . . Calling all Snowbirds ~ Part IV !!!

Oh boy, so now I am sitting here thinking what am I going to do with my two 12 year old DDs my 18 year old DD and my girlfriend who is celebrating her bday with me too down there...on the early nights? With my DH's layoff Cirque is out of the question. If it is not cold then maybe the pool a few times, and DDT...but then what? Any ideas?

I would think you could kill an entire evening at DTD! Lots to do and see there. What about the Boardwalk area too?

Okay, a few things...

First of all, y'all need to SLOW DOWN! I was away from the computer all day yesterday and come back to 5 pages to close down Part III and 18 new pages in Part IV! You're killing me!

And the second thing -I was away from the computer yesterday because it was my birthday. And guess what I learned from this board? I guess I share a birthday with a pretty cool peep.

Third thing -changes in hours?!?! At this late date?!? I've got to go check out our days and see what has changed. Grrr...

Thanks for the b-day wishes! And no, you can't scare me away - lol! As for the trip, lets just say the last time *I* was there was pre-Epcot. Just barely, but still. I was only about 11 or 12 at the time, and I recall the Magic Kingdom as being amazing. I think my kids are going to love it, and DH is going to be really shocked at how much fun it is too.

I recently talked to my mom about this trip and told her how DH isn't all that excited and she said "oh, he will be" and proceeded to tell me how her eyes welled up every time we drove into the parking lot at WDW! She said just driving under that big banner that welcomed us to WDW made her cry. And when I was on the phone with my dad last night (he's really a stoic guy) he said how HE felt like a big kid at WDW too. So I can't wait to see DH's reaction to the place. I'm excited enough for all of us, though!!!

Oh, and the cute thing one of the kids said - DD, 3 (soon to be 4) said "how many minutes until we go to see Cinderella's castle, mommy?" Not how many days, how many minutes. And mommy's reply? "Mommy isn't counting down in minutes, kiddo....YET!"

Oh I'm jealous I still have to cut out my paper for my cards...I do have until next Wedneday...hmmm we are having a crop on Friday night at church maybe instead of scrapbooking I can go get my Navy blue paper and some more snow paper and start cutting my paper for my cards....oooohhhh I like this idea LOL

At DHS the 22nd was originally 7:00, yesterday it was 9:00, today it is 7:00. . .

I did noticed some MK days that changed from 8:00pm to 9:00pm, did DHS change from 9:00am-7:00pm to longer hours?

I don't they they even know what's going on.

MK is all back to 8:00pm closings now. I swear it was 9:00pm on 1/24 just 15 minutes ago!

This changing of hours is very very confusing to me....they are changing them every day...what is up with that????

Some events & parades have fallen off, hours changed, etc. So we may have to wait a day or two to see what's really going on . . .

I just got off the Disney shopping website. Ordered a few shirts for Christmas and a couple gift cards for the girls. I had a really stupid moment. My credit card would not take. It kept giving me the error message about it not being valid! I was horrified!! I called Disney shopping, called Chase (Disney visa of course) no one saw anything wrong. So I went back one more time. It was then that I actually read the words next to the boxes where you input the information. Name on Card - blank box, card number - blank box. 5 times I did it - WRONG!!! I was putting the card number in the name box and the 3 digit code from the back of the card in the number box!!
oops. user error.
Should have known. I didn't get a good night's sleep for the last few days. I'm going to go get a Diet Coke.

Well this morning I woke up to SNOW Finally! It was beginning to seem like NW Ontaio was the only part of the "wintering" world that did not have any snow! It's beautiful! Big fluffy flakes falling ever so gently to the ground! Absolutely gorgeous! I love the first snowfall! It's the last 75 that I can't stand! Especially the stuff that comes at the end of April or the middle of May when we have already seen the ground for a few weeks!

I am seriously considering starting my PTR today as I am at Exactly 2 months! 2 MONTHS! In exactly 2 months today I will be in WDW! YeeHaw!

Afternoon All,

We had a Christmas cards made at Costco...they have very cute Disney ones...we used a picture of me and my 2 sisters from our last cruise on the Disney Magic.

I hope they get the calendar straightened out...AHHHH
