This changing of hours is very very confusing to me....they are changing them every day...what is up with that????

I'm sooo confused:confused3, don't they know we all have plans to make!;) I think Disney is reading this thread and messing with us!

They just went and extended the Animal Kingdom Hours on Sunday January 18th from 5pm to 7pm. LOL its like watching the code thread!

Any feed back about the 50's Prime Time or Sci-Fi or the Wave would be welcome.

Thanks Remmy

Never been to 50's PT. I just don't think would like all the interaction with the waitress/waiter, that's why I stay away from that one and WCC.

We ate at Sci-Fi in May. LOVED it!! The food was good and the atmosphere was great!! Lots of fun! We will definitely go back there.

As I was just reading back through all the pages from last night and this morning I am suddenly hungry for Girl Scout Cookies!!! :confused3

:rotfl:

Good Morning Snowbirds! :cool1: :cool1:

In addition to our Question of the Day and our Menu of the Day, are we going to have an Eye Candy of the Day? :lmao: (or is one per day not enough? ;) )

Well, I was going to go recheck the park hours for our trip...but now I think I should just wait a while, since they keep changing them back and forth? Don't they know I have to make another whole new schedule (number 4!), in case we decide to stay offsite and not have EMH?

I'm looking right now, and they have Epcot closing at 8pm on Fridays (except Jan 2)!! Has Epcot EVER closed before 9pm?

Well, I got to work whiney and tired and sore. My boss called it her mom mode and asked me to call the doctor's office and see what they had to say. I also love my boss.

Anyway, the nurse I spoke with said that everything is fine, so long as things aren't getting worse. I can't lift/carry anything yet without pain. I'm pretty run down. My appetite is off. She said that was perfectly normal for up to TWO WEEKS.

Man alive! I was thinking it woudl be DAYS for recovery! TWO WEEKS! Well, I guess I shouldn't be so hard on myself now, huh? She was a really really nice nurse and she did scold me appropriately (for forgetting to eat, mostly) and congratulated me (for napping!) and I feel much better now. But why is it so hard for anyone to say "yeaaaaah, recovery takes awhile, okay?"

Oh well. Two weeks takes us right through Thanksgiving. We generally sleep on the floor of DH's aunt's house but this year I insisted that we get a hotel room. I think I'm going to be very grateful I did so! Mmm comfortable sleep!

Also, I can't handle dairy at the moment and that's the basis of every Thanksgiving meal so I need to figure out what I can bring as an alternative that I can eat!!

Well, oh well. At least two weeks leaves me plenty healthy for Christmas/birthday/Disney!
Take it easy today! I'm glad you have such an understanding boss. There is no such thing as "up and at 'em" when surgery is involved!
Well, so far the only packing I've done is the kids summer stuff. It's all in one suitcase, since I'm only taking things I know for sure will fit next summer. We can get better quality clothes in the US for much less, so I plan to buy lots of clothes while we're there. The kids' winter clothes will all fit into one suitcase too. I've also been purging tons of stuff. We've given away 5 garbage bags full of clothes in the last 2 months. The kids have grown, we have shrunk (thankfully!) some and just need new stuff while in the US.

Thankfully someone will live in our apartment, so we don't have to pack up and move before we go. We just need to get personal stuff put away and that's that. And the next big thing on my list is to get the kids toys organized and gone through. I plan to donate lots to local schools and there is also a hospital that takes toys to give away to children. The kids are growing and it's time to organize. Blech.:scared1:
That's a start- and it's nice you don't have to pack the entire apartment. Just be sure to switch the electric bill over to the new tenant!!!!
Hugs to you Sarbah! I hope you're feeling better soon, but for goodness' sake - TAKE IT EASY!!! In fact, I'll take it easy in your honor too.

Okay - all of the eye candy was fabulous! I wanted to share the POTC video I found on youtube yesterday. I was looking for something to see if it would be too scary for my kids and instead found a video of Johnny Depp riding through the new ride and checking out Captain Jack's animatronics... pretty cool!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bTQ5eWBlApY

Enjoy!
This is cool! He looked a little creeped out seeing himself though.pirate:
I've seen this one before. I  Johnny Depp! Who doesn't like the Pirate's song??:confused3

Here's my son at 2 years old singing his version
Adorable!!!!!!:cutie:

I guess I'll wait til it gets closer to check the ever-changing park hours! :confused3 I sure wish they'd get their act together! We all have dinner reservations and since they are limiting how many shows for certain things it makes it really frustrating.

OK, those are Evening EMH nights, so open until 11 instead of 12, but still...

Anyway, Illuminations at 8pm might be nice for little ones that can't stay out too late. :thumbsup2

Oh - and if you can't handle the song, just skip forward to 2:10 where he starts checking out the set...:rotfl:

I'm sorry I belong to the I :lovestruc Christmas Hippos Foundation..I'm all about the futher infestation of this classic Christmas Carol!!
Starting in November I constantly have this song stuck in my head LOL

Well, now I have two songs floating through my head!

Ok. Disney messed with my hours!! For the 25th, MK is now closing at 8 instead of 9pm. Doesn't affect me since I'll be at Epcot that day. As for DHS... they are now closing at 7pm instead of 9pm on the 26th and 29th. Those are the two nights of Fantasmic that week. We will be there on the 29th. I was SO planning on seeing Fantasmic (I have the dinner pkg) and then spending another hour in the park! I'm a little ticked off right now.

I guess I better chedk too then! I wasn't planning on too many evening EMH, so I should know what the hours are!

Soleil, Hope Belle feels better soon. Enjoy your day!

Sarah - Look at it this way, you get to take it easy for two weeks! Milk it if you can! :) It's nice that your boss is so understanding. My boss had a similar surgery about a year ago, and she thought she'd be up and working faster too. It took her a while to feel like herself and be able to eat what she used to. Hang in there!

And that Johnny Depp video - COOL!! That was so funny him looking at himself!! "Hey, that's me!"

I also love two year olds singing - anything, but Yo Ho is priceless - so cute!!

We are planning to take the DDs to the Mall of America tonight to check out the new American Girl Doll store. Yikes! Can't go on the weekends - it's crazy crowded now. I'm sure their Christmas list will get longer! But they too have been warned about Santa, the Disney trip, budgets and big ticket items. DD7 says, Well, Santa can make us a Wii, so you don't have to buy that for us. Then you and Daddy can buy us a new AG doll! Okay...

Oh, you know it! We just had a visit from our landlady's lawyer. Seems all is well now, but it's been a real hassle! And she just keeps trying to squeeze money out of us!

What's with the hour changes? YIKES! I better go check it out. Or maybe I should just wait until the day before we go to get a final look. Seems they are changing the hours faster than most of us change our underwear!:lmao:

Oh the innocence of small children!! That made me smile!!!

Shelly thanks for posting that menu, I'm a huge fan of sweet potatoes and those pancakes sound so good hmmmm...wonder if I can make it over there one more for an early breakfast!

Oh boy, so now I am sitting here thinking what am I going to do with my two 12 year old DDs my 18 year old DD and my girlfriend who is celebrating her bday with me too down there...on the early nights? With my DH's layoff Cirque is out of the question. If it is not cold then maybe the pool a few times, and DDT...but then what? Any ideas?

That menu did look good. Believe it or not I have never ate at any of the moderate resorts restaurants. And I always stay at the moderates. :confused3 Maybe I should check out Shutter's menu at CBR! I still have that one ADR open!
