Well today I absolutely have to get my grades done, but first I'm going to Wally World and getting my hair done LOL
Are you getting your hair done AT Wally World? LOL

Good morning Snowbirds.....a couple of things I am not sure that I mentioned before... there are two things we never travel do DIsney without... one is an over the door shoe organizer..... we put it on the bathroom door and stuff the pockets with things like toothbrushes, toothpaste, brushes, make-up, lotion, etc.... it keeps the counters clean and the kids know where their stuff is without the "Mom.. where is my...."..... the other thing is a power strip.... with all the cell phones and camera batteries... its easy to just plug them into one...

I think today I might get the luggage out of the basement so it can air out...
ME TOO! I got one at the dollar store - a smaller one. They recommend it for cruising too. And we take a power strip as well. Charge everything in one spot. I know the cruise cabins don't have hardly any outlets, so last year when we cruised we took one and now I won't go anywhere without it.

I did this on our 1st trip when my DD's were younger and they wore what I told them to wear. Now it's a different story..being 12 & 9 they think I don't know style.:headache: But I do go over their choices and we still pack in outfits, just not in baggies anymore.

I also take a foldable laundry basket along to throw the dirty clothes in. We use to just throw them in an empty suitcase, but I think I'm going to do a load before we leave. Oh, and I'm taking a can of Fabreez...for those gassy moments :rolleyes1 in the room...

My girls won't go for it either. Especially with DD5 wanting to wear the same stuff over and over, we may have to wear the same bottoms with different tops some of the time. I'm bringing the pop up hamper along because I am going to do laundry at the resort before we get on the ship! I absolutely WILL NOT bring home two weeks worth of dirty :laundy:

Carrie - glad to hear you're feeling better!

I got a slow start on the boards this a.m. Had to lead a Brownie meeting about cookie sales, now we're going after lunch to the bridal shop so my darling little girls can try on flower girl dresses for my nephew's wedding. :bride: They're pretty excited! I hope they're still that excited when they have to walk down the aisle! DD5 isn't too keen on the idea, but I told her she won't get the fancy dress unless she does it. Plus there may be a further bribe in her future if necessary.:rolleyes1

Aw crap...another thing to do on Monday - go to post office and get stamps for postcards....:headache:

8 days! It feels like a lifetime still haha! Today's plans are not too eventful as we're supposedly in a 'winter weather warning' starting in 15 min and lasting 24 hours. :scared1: But I intend to:
-Head to the mall to pick up a paycheck and find some good deals on a new swimsuit and potentially some crocs ;) you all have convinced me they're a good idea
-Cash my Victoria's Secret paycheck and check next week's schedule while at the mall.
-Maybe hit up target to start trip supply shopping, but if nothing else to pick up cat food :simba:
-And finally a nice work shift at my campus job (even though school is on break for 2 more weeks) cleaning dishes for a catering party.

:laundy: and some of this through out the day. Fun fun

YAY...I'm less than a handful of days away....:lmao:

For packing shampoo's and stuff like that, I have a "bathroom organizer" that my parents bought me a few years ago. It's amazing. It's not very big either. It has a hook that you can hang, otherwise it just zips and can sit/store anywhere. It holds all my "getting ready" stuff and then some.

So my agenda for the next few hours:
-finish laundry
-load new songs to mp3 player and cell phone
-pull out suitcase
-get addresses written down for postcards to send
-clean bathroom's
-clean guinea pig's cage
-dog needs bath (should probably do that before I clean the bathroom... )

Yes..that's just for the next few HOURS. I have some shopping I need to do with my mother later this afternoon - after she's had her nap and resting time. Then tonight my friend is coming over and we going to iron all the transfers onto the shirts....I figure it should go faster with 2 people working on them...right:rotfl:

Ok...must get started....if I don't check-in in a few hours, it's probably because I've decided to start walking to FL instead of doing all this crap....

:rotfl: :lmao:
I have a bunch of lists that look a lot like yours! Are you going to have two irons? I'm sure if I were doing it I would need someone else to keep me from screwing it up! Good Luck!!!
:cheer2:

I'm sorry for everyone's wintery weather but I'd love for it to stay at least one season around here....35 was the high on NYE, in the 50s on NYD, now it's in the low 70s, forecast for the low 50s tomorrow. I checked Orlando's weather - they're only a few degrees higher than we are right now.

Yay for folks feeling better....and getting lots of things done.

I called Disney Visa to get my rewards card but she wouldn't let me! She said I could go to any Guest Relations office at WDW to get my card then call them to get my reward dollars. Exciting thing is, thanks to my snowbirds and the DIS, I already knew this was an option.

Okay, I better get off this thing :surfweb: and start taking ornaments off the tree already! I have to get rid of Christmas stuff before I can take out suitcases! I suppose I might have to feed my kids lunch too! Catch up with you guys later!

I love the last minute (ok, last 2 weeks) stuff. Since we have been planning for a year, it really makes it seem close. I have to take DS12 shoe shopping because he has lost both pair of shoes. Ya, I know... He left one pair somewhere in Vancouver WA while on a football game trip. Luckily he had another pair at home. Well, those went missing last weekend at the mountain while snowboarding. SO, mommy gets to take him shoe shopping. I think he would look fairly silly at Disney World in either his snowboard boots or his snow boots. (might teach him a lesson though!)

I also get to buy panties for all my men. They love it when I say that, especially in the store, in front of a cute girl. Ya, I am that mom!

There are a few more small items that I would like to pick up this weekend. I have 2 Saturdays left before we leave. This one is shopping Saturday, next is cleaning, packing, stupid stuff Saturday. And blond hair remover day. Want to look pretty for all those 1000's of Disney pics I always come home with. (and fyi, it is not grey, it is blond...:rolleyes1 )

I also have to figure out which limo company I called and made reservations with. I have not told the kids that we are taking a limo to the airport and I did not want them to find out so I was being stealthy and did not leave any trace of information. Well, see where that got me... I have no idea who will be here to get us! :scared1: I will call later today and hopefully find the right company!

ONLY 14 Days 0 Hrs 49 Mins 52 Secs left to go (still stupid wrong ticker...)

We have to get our reward dollars at the park, too. I hope I don't forget..

Cleaning a boys bathroom is gross.....

I feel like I need to take another shower now....

Another thing to try and find...a pop-up hamper!! Man maybe I will be going back to Wally World soon than later LOL!!!

And no I didn't get my hair done at Wal-mart but it did get done YAY...so now I have a very nice haircut all set for being photgenic at the World LOL.

I'm also contemplating highlights...we'll see how that goes!

We leave in 3 days (Tuesday!). I can't believe it's so close, I'm so excited.

My question for everyone is, what are you packing? Are you packing for all types of weather? It looks like the low temps are pretty chilly then it gets warm during the day. I've got a pair of jeans for everyone, sweatshirts, fleece jackets, then warm weather cloths.

I'm packing a bit of everything. Well, as much as I can fit!

Looks like we are going to need Part 5 after all! :cool1: I had my doubts there for awhile when the thread slowed down, but now it looks like we may get this one filled up within the next few days!

Last time, I did the shoe organizer over the door thing (I'm sure I picked up the tip here somewhere) and my family thought I was brilliant (of course ;) ). It worked really well when we had connecting rooms to go over that door, but in a regular room the hooks were a bit too small and took the paint off a bit of the top of the bathroom door (oops, sorry POP). :confused3 It worked well for everything, make up bags, personal care items, even chargers and batteries and other small items you seem to have NO place to put. This year my MIL got me a cute Lands End toiletry bag that has a hook so I don't know if I'll bring the shoe thing-Not sure yet.

I think it's a great idea. A few years ago, we bought some great rolling duffel bags from QVC, and they had makeup/toiletry inserts that you can take out and hang. We are taking an over-the-door hooks for extra towels, clothes and the toiletries bag. The ASMu sink looks like it has a shelf underneath, so that will also help for storage for us. I'm taking some of those plastic shoe boxes for supplies and hopefully they will fit in the shelves.

I used to use the old-style armoires for storage. Now that there's smaller TVs, it looks like there's less armoire space too. I hope we don't run out of room for stuff!!!!

i have eight more days! tomorrow and monday are my last days off til we leave for fla and boy do I have a lot to do.....laundry, packing cleaning! Wooh Hooo I can't wait to go!

Funny - our decorations are "making" us take them down this weekend. We had terrible wind the past few days, so half our lawn decorations were down this morning, our living room tree lights are about 75% out, and our family room tree lights has a string out.

I'm starting to stack up the clothes, we'll pack them right before we leave. The hardest stuff for me is the non-clothes stuff. I just hope I don't forget something important.

I hope all the early birds are having a great time!

Cleaning a boys bathroom is gross.....

I feel like I need to take another shower now....

My friend had heard other mothers complain about how much they hate cleaning the bathroom and wondered why...until her son was potty-trained...now she knows why....

Ok well my brother is currently swearing at my mp3 player because for some odd reason it won't work.
The bathrooms are clean.
I'm almost packed. Other than my "last minute" stuff.
Now off to the grocery store.
Then back here to get started on shirts!
