I just checked all my Disney hooks. I have my own Disney E-mail address, and I made one for Logan as well, and voila!

DISCLAIMER: This is a Pin Code e-mail, so you have to receive an e-mail in order to take advantage of the offer.
"We can't keep the lid on an amazing offer like this!
FREE Disney Dining Plan when you purchase one of these 5-Night/5-Day vacation packages which include room, Theme Park tickets and Disney Dining Plan. $535 per adult from 4/19-5/21 and $563 per adult from 5/22-6/27." Both in Value Resorts

This might actually work for our trip in June. I'll have to run the idea past my mother.

I got this one as well......too bad we can't go again that soon. :(

Oh.... but I wonder if they have any of the package deals left..... I'm talking to myself here!:lmao: This is what the Dis does to me!

I hear ya! I would try and see if they have any available. never hurts to ask does it? Oh, I would not want to be answering those phones this week!! I wonder if when your name is on the screen it tells how many times you called? Ha!!!!

Thanks to everyone that encouraged me about my bad DD. I'm kidding about the bad part.... well sort of.:grouphug:

I thought about the upgrade for a bit and changed my mind. I plan on staying at the Poly for Belle's 5th birthday mega-trip! It is the first place I stayed and I want it to be so special for her. I'm going to wait until then. :wizard:

I would say go for it but I can tell you that there are no packages at the Poly. I've tried every angle to get one. We've even had ressies there for that time for a long time prior to the Big Deal.

it sounds like a great way to celebrate a 5th birthday!

EDIT:
Oh wait! you're arriving on the 4th? Last I checked they had Lagoon view available. We thought about changing our dates but it wasn't worth the hassle for the couple of dollars it would have saved

How awesome for a 5th birthday.

I've had the 5th Birthday Bonanza planned out in my head since she was born! We are going all out on that trip. (We are kind of going all out on this trip, thanks to my addiction to the Dis! This trip started out as a short weekend get-a-way.)

I'm headed out to lunch now.... be back soon!

Everyone will give you different (good) advice, but the best thing I can tell you is to hang in there. They all seem to go through it (our 2 year old who will be 3 in December, may go through it until he's 6!:)). When you can (at home etc.) ignore them (much of the act is for attention). And when they do get upset, act up, throw themselves down, change the subject and bring up something that makes them happy. With our Son we bring up Disney or Monster Trucks. It gets their mind off of being bad and they tend to focus on that happy thing. Good luck, she'll be out of that stage soon enough (too soon;)).

Bella Soliel - My heart goes out to you.

I agree with chaging the subject. It shows you are not ignoring them, but you are also not providing attention to the problem. They quickly learn if I yell and scream, mom responds to me!

The best Mommy lesson I learnt (on my own I might add), as soon as I find a solution to the problem at hand the problem is gone.

So really try not to worry about it, because by the time you have worried so much, she's outgrown it.

The word "no" is easy for them to say, my dd said no even when she meant yes! :cutie:

The crying fits - turn it around into something positive. it's worth a try.

:goodvibes

I just realized that the Hall of Presidents isn't only closed in January. They closed it today, and won't reopen it until the end of January.

I think you meant to say that HoP doesn't open until July.

YUP! HoP is closed until July! It is scheduled to open on your Independence Day when they will reveal the liekness of the NEW President! :)

That didn't work with my d - her memory was too good! She wouldn't respond to a change of subject. She'd only respond to me telling her I'd talk to her when she calmed down, and removing all attention.

I guess the bottom line is try all the suggestions that seem to make sense to you, and see which works!

No matter what the books say - Bella hasn't read that book! :upsidedow

My two questions:

(Non-Disney Related) Can any mommy's give me advice / encouragement on how to handle the 'twos'? Belle is starting to say no to everything, fall out on the floor in public and hide behind the couch (where we cannot get to her) when she doesn't want to leave the house, go in time out, change her diaper, ect.
(Disney Related) How late can I add travel insurance to our trip?
I think you might have to re book the trip. Call WDW and ask.
My DS was an angel at the age of two, and he was and still is all boy. I could take him to the store and he would ask for things, and all I would have to say is maybe next time. DD well... I am sorry to say girls are just so much darn harder. We must be born with a witch gene. Yes, I said it. DD was the same way Bella. I would say ok what am I doing different with this one. :confused3 Pull my hair out sometimes.:scared1: I would pick her and put her in her room, if we were home. It really is just a phase they go through, and you have to hang in there. She is just showing her independent women gene, to make choices, which she can not express correctly at this age. By time my DD was three, she was more manageable. :lmao:
Though DD is a Taurus the bull! So darn bull headed. I don’t know if you believe in the zodiac signs, but there is a certain way they say that each child under a sign should be parented. My friend who was really into it gave me a book to read one time. All I have to say is, I was amazed by it and could not put it down.

Thanks for the heads up. My Husband and I just read your post and called Disney to request a specific building. The CM told us that Trinidad North (building 31) was preferred due to it’s proximity to Old Port Royal and the Bus Stop (not because of the view, he said it could be parking lot or beach). He said the best shot at having a good view from a preferred room (courtyard or beach) was Martinique (building 25). So we requested Martinique 25 or 26. Sorry you didn’t have a better view, but thanks again for the advice.

Yes, I should have put in a request. You just assume that if you book before anyone else and pay extra they are going to give you the best room available.
Since we drove to Fla. we had a nice parking spot!:rotfl: Though we did not drive the car when we were there. Live and learn. You will enjoy it.

That's the plan!
I've been turning down offers for almost a year now. I've pretty much just decided not to tell anybody how much money we're spending on this trip, so they can't judge me.:rotfl: I just tell people, "We got 40% off our room!" They don't have to know how much we're paying with the discount. I did have to keep myself from booking the Platinum Plan though!

I have not told any family yet, just for this reason. DH is the only one who knows about the trip besides me, oh and all of you! I don’t want to hear AGAIN from everyone. Plus, they would say something in front of the kids and ruining my surprise. But I do have to ask my niece soon to dog sit.

Last night I got my triptix and guide books from AAA! :woohoo:

So exciting - personalized maps, huge (like 3 inch thick) books - one for Mid-Atlantic, one for N & S Carolina and one for GA & Florida. Listings of EVERYTHING between here and there.

The TripTix thing is really neat - lots of detail for the drive. My favorite direction on a page was "turn onto I95, drive for 368.6 miles" :rotfl:

The trip is really real! Now I have to make my hotel reservations for the drive back and forth and make the rest of my ADRs. 10 more weeks - seems like a long time, but the holidays are going to make the time fly by!

Sharon, Too funny. I-95 is so long. We drove last August. It was not bad, we would do it again, if we had the days to spend on the road. We stayed at a La Quinta in Lake Mary Fla. the night before checking into CBR. It was very nice and clean, and in a safe area. We did not make a reservation ahead of time, because we were not sure how far we were going to make it driving.
We had a couple places a long the way written down, just in case. It is only about 15 miles from WDW.

Oh I forgot I have 50 days till I am in WDW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:dance3: :yay: :woohoo:  :cool1: :cheer2: :jumping1:
And not here at work!

Can someone PM the # to Disney Reservations? I can't get the site to pull up and suprisingly don't have it memorized. Shocker, I know!:scared1:

65 Days and counting I am SOOOOOO looking forward to our trip. I can't wait to ride Haunted Mansion, Space Mountain, Test Track, Mission SPACE!!!! and the other classics. :)

Good luck! I'm on hold with dining right now!

If there is I'm so ashamed right now LOL!!!!:rotfl:

Our favorite, although not really a ride is Philharmagic. I am SO bummed it's going to be closed when we're there. Otherwise its Space Mtn (because son likes it so much)!

Soliel-our son has been going thru the terrible two's since he was born!! He hits, throws himself on the floor, whines, cries for no apparent reason, wanted to nurse every hr on the hr when he was an infant...The only good thing is that now that he's almost 2 1/2, we're used to it, so I don't go AS crazy when he does these things. He gets put in his bed when he gets aggressive (thankfully he's still in the crib so he has nowhere to go), and he gets ignored as much as possible when he cries/whines. It's funny though that when there's more stimulation (at family's, shopping, etc) he's better! It's when its quiet at home that he demands the most attn. Probably because I'm trying to cook, clean, read the Dis, etc. I know that wasn't any advice, just wanted you to know I feel your pain!!! :grouphug:

Thanks. We think we're going to stop in South Carolina, just above the Georgia border. Based on our calculation, that would put us about 5-6 hours above WDW, so if we get on the road at 9 on day two, we'll be there at 3, just in time for check-in. I think we're going to stay at a Comfort Inn & Suites, with free internet and breakfast. Every penny counts. ;)

We're not sure how to do the drive home. On the one hand, we don't want to rush out of WDW, so we're thinking of leaving around 11 on our first day of driving home, then drive the long day on the second day. We absolutely know we won't be able to do straight through, so we want to do it as safely as possible.

I just got off the phone and made all my ADRs. :woohoo:

Afternoon Snowbirds! :goodvibes

I'm back from a long day of shopping!

Got some Christmas shopping done and got a few things for myself! :cool1:

I also got all of our breakfast items for WDW - Granola Bars, Fruit & Grain Bars, Cheerios Cereal Bars, Cocoa Puffs Cereal Bars, and Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal Bars!!

I'm so excited ~ I'm going to Disney in 10 WEEKS!!! :woohoo: :cool1: :yay:

I got an email from Disney Destinations...

Kids 3-9 Stay, Play and Dine free...4/19-5/21 $735 and 5/22-627 $763

Too bad we don't have a kid at that age...DLS is 14

This is the first pin e-mail I have every got...maybe I'll get a better one.
