Yes; WL wasn't available at all. AKL is available, but I really hadn't thought about it much. It's $50/night more than my AAA rate at CSR, so the $200 gift card won't make up the difference. I need to save money more than upgrading, and I don't want to book a value.

Oh, well.

That makes sense. At least you still have your AAA rate.

I just got off the phone with my TA, and she was already on the phone with Disney, so she's going to try and get this deal for me. We'll see what happens though.
I'm really nervous... she says she'll e-mail me by the morning.

Anyone else feeling a sense of relief now that we know what the deal is, and have saved some $$ (either by booking it, or in my case going with the AP discount )? It's like a strange sort of calm has come over me, and now I can go through, double check our plans, adjust a few things here and there (to have dinner in T-Rex one night), and not be patrolling the DisBoards day and night looking for news on codes?? Don't get me wrong, I hearing what you're all doing, but there won't be the urgency to keep checking all the time now.

So to those of you who've saved their $$ may you have pleasant Disney Dreams , and to those who didn't, here's hoping for a GP RO discount b4 your trip.

Well, I'm odd one out, I guess. Deal's not available at CBR, only business level at CSR, nothing at POFQ, nothing at POP, nothing at GF. I guess the first week in January won't be as slow in the parks as it used to be. AP rate wasn't available then, either.

So I'll just have to stick with my AAA discount and my UT tickets.

Were they out of rooms at CBR? When I called earlier to switch mine it sounded like there were plenty left. Perhaps give it til everyone is done switching tonight and try tomorrow.

I don't mean to be a downer, but from what I've heard about the Codes, they only set aside a certain number of rooms that can have the discount applied to them. When people switch over to those rooms, then their room goes back into the 'rack rate' pool, not the discounted pool. Therefore, most likely the highest level of availability will be right when they release the discount, and once the discounted rooms are full, they usually do not open more at the discounted rate. I suppose if this discount doesn't go well, they could open up another though...in order to fill the other rooms.

I hope this isn't true.


Oh and did anyone see the commercial during Survivor for it?

Okay, after I saw the special offer, I thought - okay so it doesn't work for us. I'm happy with or inexpensive rate at SOG. All is fine. But then...
DH and I started talking. Now we're actually considering changing flights, staying at somewhere else for 6 nights and taking 2 free days, all kinds of options are out there!! What do I do now? I think I better see about the flight change and how much that would cost me first. NO WAY am I letting DH and DD5 have two extra days without us!

Plus - it's open enrollment at both our jobs, so we're trying to determine what is the best plan and who should carry which part of benefits...

SO MUCH MATH TONIGHT!!! (I'm a lawyer, not an accountant!) Is there a smilie for GOING CRAZY?

I KNEW I should've kept my mouth shut, but I was playing around on Disney and pulled up AKL "just to see..." That is our dream resort. Well a standard room would be about $600 more, $900 if we did Savanah view. We've always done value, but hubby's was saying he could make some extra money because he's been personally training and has been pretty busy lately. That "extra" money he's earning could be used to actually CATCH UP ON BILLS, PAY FOR CHRISTMAS, SO MANY THINGS!! But it's AKL!!!!! UGH!!!!

The best thing is - at least we will still be going to see
