January 2009. . . Calling all Snowbirds ~ Part III !!!

Love the Christmas pictures! I too would LOVE to go to WDW during Christmastime. My extended family has the idea in their head that they would like to go to my uncle's house for Christmas some time. He lives in Orlando and has a ginormous house, so I'm down with that! As long as I can see the parks decorated, I'm fine with that. I would buy a one day park hopper and just go and walk around. I wouldn't even need to ride anything.

I brought up 2 suitcases from the basement for our little weekend trip this coming weekend and set them in the doorway to my bedroom today. As soon as the kids got home from school DS7 spotted them. He got this huge smile on his face and said - HEY WHAT ARE THOSE SUITCASES DOING UP HERE??? They still have the LGMH's attached to them from our last trip. I think he seriously thought we were going to WDW. Poor little guy. But judging from the look on his face Christmas morning is going to be something else!! Can't wait!!

I will be taking plenty of pictures with my new Sony-Cyber shot camera (which it awesome by the way! )and will post them!!

Kind of tough since DH and I can't stop talking about the December 09 trip that is not yet booked! Maybe we can calm down enough so the kids won't remember for a while!

By the way - IT IS BEAUTIFUL HERE!!! It is 74 and sunny on November 3!!! That's the record high today! Got to take the dog on a nice long walk before it gets dark at 5!

Kind of tough since DH and I can't stop talking about the December 09 trip that is not yet booked! Maybe we can calm down enough so the kids won't remember for a while!

I will be capturing every moment of the reveal! Because I will never be doing this again!!

I'm looking forward to the evening EMHs -we hope to try all of the parks, but looks like we won't be able to do DHS. It's only once during our whole time there, and that's DD's birthday, so we'll probably be at MK. She definitely wants to do Chef Mickey's for her birthday, but we may leave the rest of the day up in the air, since she'll have a week there to decide what she wants to do.

Looks like we have a choice of 2 mornings in the MK - otherwise we'll probably skip mornings. We like to sleep in and it is vacation after all

I'm once again skipping my tap class tonight. I know that I shouldn't, but I'm just too darn tired! Besides, my DH is working on a project for grad school with his group and I don't think he'll be home in time for me to go. More Dis time for me!!! I'm trying to get my desktop computer to work so I can post my pics from my costume party. So aggravating!!!

I'm thrilled that my DD doesn't have school tomorrow! It will be soo nice to sleep in. Plus, she can help me clean and go grocery shopping. She honestly likes doing those things, so no, I'm not torturing her. Be back in a bit!

Yeah for paying in full!!!

I'm still waiting, and waiting for the discounts....

I'm attempting to make supper and my oven is blowing out smoke allover my kitchen...but NOT from my supper. My DH is an avid deer hunter and he was ATTEMPTING but not successfully making homemade hotsticks. He had to put them in meat casings and bake them in the oven for 70 minutes on 200 degrees. He however put the meat on COOKIE SHEETS and dripped oil all over my oven!!! After the oven cools off, I will be cleaning it! UGH...men!

Other than that, my girls are counting down the days now until our trip. I think we are at 78 days away.... I have started a little packing of shorts and some T-shirts. Normally, I would probably be pretty much done packing already, however Wisconsin is having a heat wave this week and my DD's and I are going to a waterpark in Sheboygan next week, so we can't pack the swimsuits until after that trip.

I'm going to go a bit off topic!! But is anyone else here insane like me and is going to be making their own Christmas cards!! I went to Hobby Lobby and bought my paper this weekend now I'm going to start cutting out the pieces. And then the day before Thanksgivng my best friend and I put our cards together!!

Was just wondering if any of you snowbirds also make your cards???

You are way more ambitious than I am. I go to the Dollar Store and buy disney cards . The most expensive part of my card is the stamp!!!!!

So it was an absolutely GORGEOUS day here. I'm in the middle of WI and it was upper 60's. I had to work so I didn't really get to enjoy it, however tomorrow I don't have, I do have to babysit but it's supposed to be a high of 69 tomorrow so we will spend the day playing outside!!!!!!!!!!!! This is so strange for Nov.
