Just got in from a wonderful, but extremely exhausting day! My feet hurt!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. I'll catch up on the post tomorrow, just wanted to say :wave2:.

princess:

So happy for you!!

Off to Target I go!:yay:

Thanks!!! :D :D

I spent too much money at Target. Well, $21. But do you know how much candy that gets you? Oops! Of course, we take a bag with us to hockey games and share with our neighbors so it goes quick BUT STILL.

Your fault!! ;)

So glad that you are getting some good new Sarah! :thumbsup2 I will keep your soon to be born new little person in my thoughts and prayers and hope for a safe delivery! :)

Thank you and me too! I think it was a pretty easy pregnancy so here's hoping for an easy/safe delivery! *crosses fingers, toes, and eyes*

I am now very curious about this book. Right after the last conversation about this book, DH and I watched a movie (Penelope, I think) which contained a preview of the Twilight movie! It looks very interesting. I might need to check it out!

I enjoyed the book. My coworkers did, too. One of them found the female lead to be far too passive and the male lead to be a stalker but generally thought the story was well told. Three of the four of us got to book four and went "...um. Well! Okay! The story is done! Great!" and that's the best we can say for it. but being addicts of the first three, we're all going to the movie anyway! I still think that it's a neat premise and a slightly interesting and different take on vampires.

Just got back from, you got it, another hockey game. Or a fight where a hockey game broke out. Michigan won, 6-1. After the last fight, the crowd started a cheer of "sore losers" pointing to the opponents, who were starting the fights. But blow-out games are kind of fun, since it's not so nerve-wracking!

I think after tonight, I'll be done with my prescription pain killers until the surgery. This is also pretty exciting and another thing I'm looking forward to. It's funny how life swings around, isn't it?

Enjoy your extra hour of sleep (if you can get it!) tonight, all!

Thanks!!! :D :D

Yeah, I'm taking no responsibility for your candy purchase. I didn't find any Heath bars left at my Target, so I came out of there with not much of anything except for candy corn leggings for DD7.

I may have missed it back 450 pages ago (!) about why you are having surgery. I don't mean to be nosy, but if you are okay with sharing, I'd be interested. I am glad to hear you are looking forward to getting through it all. Then you will be able to enjoy Disney!! :) Here's some pixie dust to help you through! pixiedust:

I'm hoping my kids don't wake up at 5:30 instead of 6:30 tomorrow! They actually went to bed at a pretty decent time - they were SO tired. DD7 was ridiculously whiny and crabby all day. Hope they sleep a little late! I should have gone to bed an hour ago.
Oh well.

Mom and I spent a lot of money at Target and Walmart. Got some very cute stuff to put away for next year. Also got some Kelly dolls, puzzles, and other small toys to donate to Toys for Tots. Bought some candy but not a lot...we are really trying cute back on sweets and junk food.

Alright Birdies, good night. Enjoy your extra sleep if you can get some! I'm really hoping my alarm goes off at the right time in the morning so I'm not late for work.:rotfl: Oh well it's only a 4 hour shift anyway.;)

Sweet Disney Dreams:goodvibes

Boy, I'm missin' my Peeps! How are you all doing? I haven't been able to keep up with every page. You all are chatterboxes! Away from my desk for just half a day and there are 10 pages to read!:lmao:

Right now I'm waiting anxiously to hear from Scot. We had our appointment with the Israeli ministry of interior this morning to get our visas renewed. It is never a guarantee that it will happen, so we've been praying extra hard. I have no fingernails left!:rolleyes1

My DD is just now fitting into size 5T. All I have to say is thank goodness for those adjustable waist bands!!!

I think these are one of the best additions to children's clothing EVER! My middle 2 kids are skinny and tall. They need the bigger size for the length, but then the waist is way to big. Those adjustable bands on the inside have been wardrobe savers! My oldest isn't as thin, so his pants don't fit our younger son unless they have that elastic!

It's a Sony Cyber-Shot. And it's pink!! :goodvibes There's not too many pink things in this house! :rotfl:
Well, I must need glasses. As I was skimming the thread, I read this as "Sony Cyber-Snot" :lmao: I thought, perhaps, you were expressing that you are very particular about the kind of camera you use!:rotfl2: Love the pink one. My coworker has a pink one. It's so cute!

So, I guess Disney would never release a code on Sunday. :sad2: Wonder why they are waiting so long this year. It's really a bummer, since some of us are getting closer to our pay-in-full day.

Oh, well...tomorrow something good's coming! It just has to!

So my dear sweet 2 yr old fell asleep on the way home last night about 5:45pm. We had the "should we wake him or let him sleep" discussion. I wasn't feeling good so I laid down, too, then the 6 yr old was wild and wouldn't let me sleep, SO long story short, the baby woke up at 4 am which technically was 3am. So I've been up for almost three hours!! Had 1/2 pot of coffee, make him breakfast which he won't eat because he wants CANDY!

OK, done whining! Going to go read Five Little Monkeys for the 17th time. Happy Freakin' November! :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Good Morning Snowbirds!

I had a lousy night's sleep. so much for that extra hour. I dozed off before the end of the Texas/Texas Tech game and woke up for the game winning touchdown. After that, I couldn't fall back to sleep.

Oh, well. Here's a picture of my little guy all decked out for Halloween.

What a yucky start to the day. We went through a Five Little Monkey phase too. We've moved onto Chicka Chicka Boom Boom (my daughter's new favorite) and my son makes me read Thomas stories- any of them but really they're all the same aren't they.

Carrie.... any news from Scot yet?

:rotfl: No, I am not laughing at your pain! OK well maybe I am! :) I get phone calls like this all the time from my sister. Her children are consistently early risers, like 530/6am EVERY DAY! I thank my children everyday for sleeping until 730! Hope you get to have a nap today!

Good Morning Snowbirds (or whatever time of day it is where you live)!

I'm so confused about the time, DH got up before me to go to work and I don't know which clocks, if any, he's changed. :lmao:

Do you think Disney just hasn't released January codes yet because they're not happy with the occupancy for November/December and are trying to fill those times first? Just something I thought about during the night last night...and codes don't even apply to me. See how much I care about my Snowbirds? :grouphug:

DD6 was up a few times during the night with her first cold of the season, and DD9 woke up with a headache. It's bound to be an interesting day.

Hope eveyone has a great day, enjoy the beautiful Fall! :goodvibes

I hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday.

Shelly, thank you for the Yak and Yeti menu. I have this down for one of my ADRs but I am seriously rethinking this one. I have read mixed reviews on this one. Has any Snowbird been to this restaurant?

I think we are all looking forward to going to Disney but not the hefty payment.

My wishes go out to every Snowbird that are in need of a bit of pixie dust to come their way.:wizard:

Remmy

Remmy, I observed a photo session at OKW. It was parents in their 60-70s and their 4 children with families & the dog. The parents wore black shirts & jeans, and each child & his or her family wore a specific color shirt & jeans. The photographer was very patient with them & posed them very well, I thought. Photos were taken indoors and out.

I don't see any reason you "couldn't" do it for yourselves, except one person would have to be the photographer & not in the photos, or else use a tripod & timer.

One thing to consider with an official photographer - people didn't just barge right through while he was setting up.

My uncle takes his tripod along. So when we want random group pictures he just sets it all up and his timer and away we go. We usually wait until there is a "lul" in the crowd. What's really great is while at Disney however, someone is always watchign what you are doing. More often than not those people offer to take the picture for you while the other members of their group hold people off from walking through your picture. Only in Disney would people be nice like that!:goodvibes

Thank you for the above responses to my photo session question. We are still out on this one but thank you both for you insights.

I do like the first idea for large groups with same colored bottoms and different colored tops for each family. The next trip should be with all of DH's family and that would be a great tip for a photo shoot.

Thank you all very much.
Remmy
