Go Phillies! (Saying that still makes me want a philly cheesesteak sandwich!)

Goodnight everyone! :wizard:

QOTD: What's your favorite photo op spot at WDW? If this will be your first trip, where are you most looking forward to taking a picture?

I love the picture my DH and I took in front of the fountain in Italy. I want to take another one there.

Good night all! My laptop battery is going dead, so instead of plugging it in, I'm going to bed.

Congrats to all you Phillies fans!!! :thumbsup2

Can't wait to see what deals are offered tomorrow!! I've actually decided (well DH and I decided) that if the deal is good enough and Poly is available, we're doing it!! SO EXCITED!!

I really wish everyone the best of luck with the codes! I hope that they come out tomorrow for you ladies! I can't wait to hear all about the fantastic deals you all get. It gets me all excited for Disney! Good night!

Here are some of mine from May of 08....

I like taking a pic next to the mailbox because as the years go by you can see the growth of your kids....

Great photos!! Where did you get the first two taken, and was it an extra cost?

I also loved the last photo and now have it written down for one to have taken for us. It is wonderful to see other people's photos as I would have never have thought of that angle but I love it. That photo can show and mean many different things.

Did you have to search for special CMs to take the Stitch and Simba photo? We want those different types of photos done too.

Sorry about all the photopass questions but this will be our first time doing it.

Has anyone purchased the photo book too from the photopass site? I went on the site today and saw they had a special for the CD and the book together. We were thinking of it but I haven't head of a review of the photo book and the quality of it.

Once again, I love seeing everyone's photos. It is fun to share in some of your Disney joy.

Thank you
Remmy

I totally agree I'm crossing my fingers and toes for all our snowbirds that you will get the great codes you desire!!!

I've also been told that if you will be upgrading to an AP, you can check in, go to the park to upgrade and then show it later at your hotel, just tell them you are doing that. If you don't upgrade they will bill you the difference.

Thank you for that information. We too were thinking of upgrading to an AP for all.

Does anyone know what happens when a child turns into an adult rate mid-AP? My DD is 9 now but will be turning 10 this year. We might consider this if she can still use it.

We were shying away from doing APs as not only their expense but also the in-laws talk the talk of a Disney trip but thus far have backed out of this January trip and not made a decision for Fall 2009. I do like the fact you could potentially book it as AP but if for whatever reason it isn't a go, you would just pay the difference.

Wow one more thing to start thinking about again!

Silly me, I was becoming jealous over all this code talk and thinking on clever ways to try to check at work, and then realized it will be Thursday morning and that is my afternoon shift.:upsidedow I also booked off Friday, but hopefully we won't have to wait until then.

I will be so excited if it is a general code and good for everyone not restricted for only a certain of number of people, or group. I have a really good CAA (Canadian version of AAA) travel agent who said that she can get any deal that comes out to the general public. I will have to put her on speed dial.

I only have a pesky physical mid-morning so I will be waiting for the codes to come out, wait until the CAA office opens, call right away and wait patiently for her response.

I hope that those CMs who have been hinting about excellent codes haven't been playing early Hallowe'en tricks on us.

QOTD

We don't have a favorite spot to take a photo as the last trip was our first family trip. We do have a photo taken at Splash Mountain going down the falls with only DH (1997) and I and now we want one of the whole family and start a tradition of that one. Last time we also did the CRT and only had DD's pic taken with Cinderella and want to do the same again. I am certain DS won't mind that much and I think we should be able to take one of him and Cinderella with our own camera.

I do think we will have to try those other locations you other Snowbirds have listed. I would like to start some traditions by taking the same photo each trip in some same spots each time we go in each park.

Update on my MIL situation.

She has informed us that she will be leaving on the 21st for 2 weeks and coming back home before us, just after Superbowl weekend. She asked DH what 2 days we would think would be best. I have now had a chance to look over our tentative schedule and found the perfect 2 days. The Tuesday the 27th and Wednesday 28th. That way she doesn't have to fight weekend crowds and hopefully be able to find a hotel room for 2 nights (arrival on the 26th).

I will only have to move 1 ADR at Yak and Yeti as she doesn't want to do AK at all. We had on the 27th Epcot planned in the morning and hopping to DHS that evening and doing CS all that day, and AK on the 28th. We can ask her what parks she wants to go to and if she wants to do a TS with us. We might try to book one on the 27th at Spoodles, as she wants to go there. We might try to walk between the two parks and stop for an early supper. I will try to pass this by her tomorrow. She might take us up on the offer, as Spoodles was on her list of TS at the number 1 spot.

My only worry is we will be playing in the parks for 2 days without MIL then have her for 2 days then the kids have the rest of the vacation without her. I hope this doesn't leave them sad that they will be without her for the rest of their vacation. We are planning on going to another park and the Fantasmic Meal the first day after her time without us, so hopefully that cheers them up.

Has anyone tried Spoodles? Would it be a good place for picky children to eat at? Are children welcome there?

Thanks for reading my ramblings.

Remmy

I couldn't resist one more post. I just noticed near my avitar it changed from Earning my Ears to now Mouseketeer!!!:cool1: I am so excited. My next post after this one will be post 80.

So here is for every new Snowbird, everyone that is celebrating something and for anyone that wants to party.

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:   :dance3: :yay: :yay: :woohoo: :woohoo: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I sure hopes that the Disco brothers, who shall remain nameless as they seem to come every time you mention their names, don't discover our party. I wonder what our parties will look like when we are in the last month of celebrating?

When we got our Simba and Stitch it was just something the photopass person did. We also have a lot of individual pictures of us 'with' simba. They turned out really cute. I have them on another computer, but I'll post some tomorrow. If they don't mention anything, just go ahead and ask if you can do a simba one.

We've ordered our cd's from the site. We don't do the big fancy things, just the cd. You can look at all your photos online and you have ( I think) 30 days to order. On the site you can add all the fun borders for each park and special occasions.

Hope that helps...at least a little.;)

So, I think I am pretty caught up on reading these posts for the night.
Now I have to go research a medical condition that my daughter has tonight...:confused3 It looks like she has a HUGE blister on the outside of her ear, but the inside of the outside....I called Nurse Direct and they had no clue...:confused3 so I'm doing some investigating myself. I will take her to the doctor in the morning but AFTER I check for super duper codes..:cloud9:
Sweet dreams Snowbirds...dream of great discounts!

Nope, you all are not the last ones up! It is only 9 here is Spokane. This made me giggle, a lot, and I am still giggling as I read this again. Priorities... :rotfl:

okay, that last post made me sound like a terrible mother! The doctor doesn't take appointments until 8:30am. I will be on the computer by 6:00am checking my emails...I love my DD, but I know, priorities...DD's ALWAYS come first. DD12 has Crohn's disease but I don't think this ear thing has anything to do with her Crohn's. Very odd.

I forgot...Central time it's 11:43am...on the West Coast, much earlier. But I'm off to bed shortly. Until tomorrow.

Good monring, my peeps!:goodvibes

Just sitting here getting about 5 minutes of this :surfweb: . Here's hoping for a good code today!:thumbsup2

I'm off to the West Bank to teach English. I'll check in when I get home! Have a great day...er...sleep!

Good morning Snowbirds.....
