We would have left at 6:00am arriving at 11:47am. Compared to leaving at 7:00am and arriving at 9:57am. Coming home, leaving at 5:47pm and arriving at 11:56pm versus 6:05pm to 8:43pm. We are saving almost 6 1/2 hours of (airplane/airport) travel time. We'll take the extra travel time in our vehicle. At least we were all able to get flights!;)

Maybe I will talk to DH and see if he is interested in doing that.... his borther lives in Rochester.... so maybe that would work out.... I am thinking about possibly going down a day early now.... have to see.... maybe if codes come out....

Hello Snowbirds! :goodvibes

Just home from Church a little bit ago. Now it's time to get ready for an afternoon of soccer. The sun is shining but it sure is chilly out there, we may hit 55 degrees today.

Hi everybody! DD and I played hookie from church today. I'm still trying to re-group from the wild ride we've been on these past two weeks. My entire day consists of :laundy:.

It feels like October is flying by! Hope you all have a great day!

Next weekend is HSM3. Anyone going?

I've got :laundy: going too! My girls are quite nutty today - They had off school Thurs/Fri and need to go back! :) They should be outside - it's about 60 and beautiful out! Could be our last 60 degree day until April!

Our next door neighboor - 17 yr old babysitter wants to take the girls to HSM3. They are so excited - but have to wait until after opening weekend because the sitter has to work. I almost wish I could go with them. I guess I'll wait too.

An aside - my countdown doesn't say it, but my DH is saying he's in double digits. You see, he is driving down to NC with his sister and one of the girls to pick up his mom before meeting me and DD7 in FL. So he gets to leave home earlier. I said, that's fine, you can count from the day you leave home for when your vacation starts, but the really important date is when WE get to WDW!!! Do we sound crazy for that plan? I'll explain: He loves to drive - me not so much. His mom won't fly, and it would be super expensive for all of us to fly. As it is, DD7 and I have one way tickets down and are watching for return flights. The way down was only 109, the way back was 160. Go figure. MIL is staying in FL with another sibling after the cruise, so the rest of us could cram into the van to drive home. I guess it's good to have options. I just really don't want to drive home.

I pre-ordered our tickets for HSM3 for Friday 4:30 showtime I can't wait :cheer2:

Good afternoon! :goodvibes

Just checking in between soccer games. . . One win so far, one more game to go!

It sure is slow in here today. . .

Well I called to try to get an ADR for T-Rex and I was told that it is not included on the DDP. :confused3 I just read a review of it on AllEars that said it is included on the DDP. . . Plus the last time I called I was told by a CM that it would be on the DDP for 1TS. . .

So I ended up just leaving my ADR's alone.

Hey Everybody! Hope everyone's days are great! I spent the entire afternoon working on my countdown calendar. If I don't get it done soon, I'm not going to need it anymore!!!

Hey does that mean your parents have direct tv ??? Or do they live in Niagara County? I am just so happy we have direct tv otherwise my hubby would have flipped :crazy2:

My parents do have directv. We do too, I just didn't want to watch the game alone! I absolutely LOVE directv. I recommend it to everyone. They have great customer service too. Whenever we have a problem, they are wonderful and we usually end up getting money off of our bill or something free (ex. 3 months free HBO).

Believe it or not, I have never seen HSM. My dance students all love it, but I actually have no desire to watch it. All of my DD's friends love it too. Maybe, it's just me, but I don't want my DD to watch it. I know that it's a disney movie, but I feel it would be too grown up for a 6yo to watch. We also don't watch hannah montana in our house. I let her watch it once, but when there was a kissing scene, it was all over. She's only little once and I don't want her growing up too fast. So, for now, it's just cartoons in our house.

Hi guys!!! I am just checking in. I am at work....shh don't tell;)

Soleil...we really like Sesame Place but honestly, if we didn't live so close we probably wouldn't go. Some people travel far to come..I'd rather go to disney.

We are doing HSM3 opening night!!!

Peaches....I didn't think you were being mean at all. I appreciate everyones thoughts.

Shelly..that's a bummer about TREX...it might be a good place to pay out of pocket though if you were thining about doing any of that.

I don't blame you at all! I think a lot of that stuff is too much for the under 8 set. My kids have seen all of it, but a lot does go over their heads. I think they like the music mostly. It's really hard when they have a lot of girls in the neighborhood who are a couple years older. They all want to do and to have the same thing. I have to keep reminding my DD7 that she is only 7, not 10! I hope I don't sound like a hypocrite - if I had my way, my kids would not yet have seen HSM or Hannah either. Good luck! I just keep reminding them that they don't need to act that way. My DD7 keeps telling me she's not into princesses that much anymore. but she wants everything Tink, so that's a good sign I guess!

My DD got a HSM barbie yesterday at her birthday party and she had NO idea what it was! She's still into princesses and she likes Tink too (I think my love of Tink has passed on to her!). I just wish she could stay little forever!

I know what you mean! My kids had half the neighborhood over in the backyard today and some of them seem so much older. I just want mine to be toddlers again! Sometimes I think things were easier when there weren't all the friend issues and growing up issues that come with school etc. Boy am I in trouble when puberty hits! :rotfl2: :scared1:

OMG! I cannot believe I missed this... there is a HUGE dance competition going on the second weekend of our trip. I heard that it draws 30,000 students and 10,000 spectators... and they all stay at the All-Stars... which is were we are planning to stay this year. Someone also said that they are expecting crowds from the Superbowl... when I booked, everyone was saying that the Superbowl isn't a family event (tickets cost $800 each), so that wouldn't affect crowd levels. We are leaving early Saturday morning, but I'm really nervous that Thursday and Friday will be really crowded... it is true that the Unofficial Guide has crowd levels estimated at a 9? I've never been there for that kind of crowd... will it ruin our trip? I'm seriously considering changing our dates... please give me some advice...

I know that people were talking about JetBlue changing flights around, and now it's happened to me too. Well, sort of. We are now leaving Buffalo 5 minutes earlier and arriving in Orlando 5 minutes earlier. Fine with me! We didn't book direct flights because it was more than we wanted to pay. We have to hang out at JFK for an hour, but that really doesn't bother me. For the price we got, I really can't complain.

97 days til vacation!
