Good Morning Everyone!

It's a bright and sunny 34 degrees outside as I sit here with my hot chocolate (in my refilable ASMu mug ;) ).

Peach3es - I believe it was you who gave the info on the snow globes. Thank you!! I got that email from them. I haven't had a chance to look it over yet, but now I definately will. Glad to hear your little guy is feeling better.

Momof2DisneyBoys - Happy Birthday to your son!!:goodvibes
And those cookies looked so good yesterday that I had to make some myself.

Well I hope everyone else has a great Friday. I'm around for a little bit then running some errands, then off to work until 9.

oooooh... I just found out that they're going to still have the Osbourne dancing lights up the day we get there... maybe I'll have to take Logan over to see them before they take them down the next day...

Mickey's PhilharMagic Update:

My Husband suggested that we check into February to see if the refurb of Mickey's PhilharMagic continued later than 1/31. Unfortunately what we found wasn't good news. It is scheduled to be down from January 18th - February 6th. So much for hoping it reopens in January a few days early.:sad2:

I'm glad to hear the rides still run during Fantasmic. We aren't planning on doing Fantasmic for many reasons, so I think the plan to keep riding with the older kids is a good one!

I love the idea of being able to just get on RnR Coaster and Tower of Terror! Heck...maybe we'll send all the kids home with Grandma a little earlier in the evening and enjoy some park time without kids!:thumbsup2

Well that stinks about Philharmagic. But you know, when we were there in May there were some major attractions closed too - Cinderella's Carousel and Jungle Cruise are a few of the major ones that stick out in my mind. So I guess this can happen any time of year. I just hope we aren't in for a big shock and they end up rehabbing a lot of other attractions at the last minute.

Good Morning everyone! I'm working on my budget for Disney, and I just had a quick question. I have the Disney VISA card and I've been using that to grow my Disney Reward Dollars. So, when and how do I get the Dollars to use? If this has been asked, please point me the way. Thank you sooo much.

Shelly, you're boy is growing up!! Happy Birthday to him:bday: Those cookies looked really good too. If you have any left over, you're more than welcome to send them my way:laughing:

Like we were speculating yesterday, there probably will be a few other refurbs announced before January. It will take a whole lot more that a few rides being down to ruin a trip to WDW! Now if the Dole Whip Machine is down:eek: .... that’s a different story!!!!:rotfl:

Thanks Miabellarose! :goodvibes

When you are ready to redeem your reward dollars all you have to do is go to the website (I think you can call too)and put them on a Disney Rewards card and they will mail it to you. You can then use the card just about anywhere at WDW. I usually request ours about a month prior to our trip!

Haha... I'm really beginning to think I need to try a Dole Whip.

I'm not too worried about the rides. I've never had time to do and see everything at Disney, and many times I like it when decisions are made for me. Should we go see the HoP? No, it's closed. Ok...on to the Tiki Room.
Of course I am planning a second trip within the year, so I can probably hit anything I don't hit in January in June.

Yesterday, I did tell my soon-to-be DH that Dumbo was going to be closed during our trip. He got all wide-eyed and said "No." Then I finished the sentence with, just for one day.
I can be cruel sometimes...

Ok... I had to post one more time before I get back to work.

:woohoo: 300 posts whoo hoo! :yay:

I probably won't be around much until Tuesday... I'm going home to do some more wedding planning this weekend, soo tomorrow is my 3 months too!
:cheer2:

Ok so I think I just had a minor stroke/heart attack/something.

I have a problem. When I travel, I don't exactly pack light. Not like I take my whole closet along, but I like to have options. However with all the new airline restrictions and crap, I'm never going to be able to have just ONE bag (and make it light enought).

My sister is trying to ease my mind by telling me that we have a washer/dryer at Saratoga Springs. Also, that we will just have to buy shirts to wear, so I don't have to pack as much going down as coming back.

Oh goodness. I know I have plenty of time to worry about this, but as I sat here folding laundry that's what hit me. Oh, and I'm still ticked off about Splash Mountain.:rotfl:

Happy Friday!

I have a QOTD-

If money was not an issue.....what DW resort would you choose?

What would your dream vacation be?:cloud9:

Okay were booked into POR for our dates and the flight is booked too. ADR's have been made and I'm waiting for a code or dis discount (could we all cross our fingers for free DP:worship: ) The only thing that is giving me pause is the dates we choose....

Arrive Thurs Jan 8th @ 7:07 pm and leave Sun. Jan 18th @ 3:04. We are going to be dealing with marathon crowds and the first half of MLK weekend:eek: Someone please tell me that the marathon crowds won't be too bad...My DH prefers to go when it is less crowded and I have assured him that Jan is a slow time. We have only gone late Sept 16-22 2006 (CBR/WL) and Dec 1-9th 2007 (COR) and both time were light, so that is all I have to base crowds on.

I'm just hoping that I booked the right meals, flight, hotel....do you KWIM? UGGH! I just wish that some PIN or CODE would come out and put a little icing on this DIS cake!

Oh and I also booked 7 of the 10 meals as character meals.... crazy I know, but DS will be turn 3 two days after our trip. We will not be having a B-Day party at home we will be celebrating the b-day on the trip. DS and DD loved the character meals last time and I booked Le Cellier and Coral Reef for DH so he will be happy:thumbsup2 .

I just hope the crowds work with us...fingers crossed!!!!

Becky

QOTD - If money were not an option - hmmm:
Well, D has always wanted to try the Grand Floridian. She loves the look and the fact that it's a monorail resort.
And a castmember friend has touted Wilderness Lodge for us, so that's what I'd do. Maybe a split stay.

Dream vacation would be the Platinum Package - have everything taken care of for me, be able to do anything and everything. But the most important thing for the dream vacation is that it would be LONGER!!! :lmao: At least 2 weeks.

Now where's the :genie: when you need him?

Ok... I lied... I snuck back on for a minute...

I would try not to worry about it too much. I know it's hard to pack light, but just take some time to assess your wardrobe, and think about what you think you'll wear.
First of all, how long is your trip? If it's longer, than it can be more difficult to narrow choices down, but if even if it's a week you can fit enough clothes in a suitcase. Also, consider what kind of suitcase you have. The wheeled ones are heavier. If it's a duffle bag ten all the weight will be weight you put in yourself. Also, try to focus on clothes, and not heavier non-clothing items (hair dryers, curling irons, even shoes) I don't think I've ever gone over the airline weight requirement, though I'm not sure what they've changed it to now. When I pack I always put things into piles. Definitely yes, maybe, and not necessary. That way I put all the definitely yes things in first, and can narrow down my choices.

Happy Friday!

I would do the Poly Concierge, or even AKL Concierge (but that's less expensive) or maybe one of the suites, but definitely Concierge. I would also be on the Platinum plan, and I would stay for a whole month, so I could take advantage of all the extras.

Free Dining would be great...(a 40% off pin code would be better, but not everybody would be able to partake)
Free Dining would take the deciding out of my to Dine or not to Dine decision.
We'll definitely save SOME money, but we'll have to pay in advance, which I don't really want to do. My soon-to-be DH votes for Dining, because he doesn't want to think about the prices when we're actually on our Honeymoon, but I'll think about the prices anyways... so it doesn't make a difference to me.

I have 4 out of 10 meals planned as character meals, and I won't even have any kids with me. HA!
