Good Evening Snowbirds...

ALright first for some breaking news... I have extended my trip...yes you heard correctly I have made my departure date the 21st of January. This means I will have the opportunity to hunt down Shelly and Trixie on that day to say hi before I head back home...

Now for some other breaking news...the first installment of the PTR is done and waiting to be sent to proofread and should be up in the next day and I'm actually writing part two..I hope it entertains at least a bit or if you are tired and can't sleep I hope it helps that way (I tend to be a half full type of person LOL)

Well I just finished chugging a DP which means this could be a long night, and considering I never sleep well while my hubby is away this means more writing of my PTR WOOT!!!

Yea! How awesome that you extended your trip! I can't wait to read your PTR. That is totally my new favorite thing. Reading all of my fellow Snowbird PTR's! I guess I'll need to start one up in a month or two. I'll have to start writing down some thoughts. Awwww..well happy writing!! Weddings are so much fun and I'm sure your sister's will be a beautiful celebration of love!!!

Thank you to everyone who gave me advice on where to purchase the Lion King DVD. I ended up getting it from ebay. I hope it turns out okay when I get it. I went with a seller that has a 100% guarantee, so if Im not happy I can return it and get my money back. Hopefully I wont have any issues. We had a busy weekend here, we went apple picking twice and pumpkin picking as well. The weather here was pretty lousy. We had rain everytime we went out to do anything, oh well we still had a good time. Hope everyone enjoyed there weekend.

Debbieandroo~Went to the theatre & they were sold out I am pretty sure one of our larger area churches bought tickets for their congregation.So, we will have to try it again. If we don't go tomorrow afternoon, we won't be able to go until Friday--that's not a good idea-they are really packed by then!!!! Hopefully one of our other snowbirds can get to it before me and let us know how great it is. I can't wait!!!!

Sensible shoes were, sigh, fine. Although even they hurt after 5 hours of standing! I was so happy to put flip flops on when I came home!

Ok. Sorry to change the subject from crocs (I'm loving everyone's input though!), but I have a question. Has anyone bought their kids a Nintendo DS?? My DD (will be 6 next month) really wants one. We're thinking about buying her one for Christmas. Just wondering what everyone thinks about them and if it's a good investment. Thanks!

Chiming in late again . . . as usual!

I had a Nintendo DS and my son took mine over more than a year ago. He was about 2 1/2 when he starting playing Super Mario Brothers. Last Christmas we actually bought him his own because I wanted mine back

The games are not "learning" type games but there are plenty of things that are appropriate for young kids.

Ry's favorites are Super Mario Brothers and MarioKart. He likes DiddyKong racing and Diego, too.

So, I'm trying to talk DH into taking a second 2009 Disney trip. It might be hard to do because he doesn't have the same love for Disney. I want to go back in October over my birthday. It seems like it is nice time to visit. Do you think it's too much Disney?

Did you just say too much Disney?! Those words should never be together in a sentence. I wish we could go to Disney more often. I have talked my DH into going to a DVC presentation while we are there, so maybe we will go more frequently. I would love to go once a year or multiple times a year!

I DID say too much Disney, but I should qualify that. Too much Disney for a man who doesn't share my love for Disney.

My inlaws already think I'm crazy because we will have been down 3 times in 4 years. My parents understand my obsession because it is their fault that I love Disney as much as I do. (and I am so thankful for that)


Here's a totally OT question for you all. I am going to be heading to my 15 year class reunion in November. We skipped the 10 year. I have NO CLUE what to wear. I hate dresses/skirts. I'm just not able to find anything that looks good on me.

Any good tips as to where I should shop. I want to look fantastic (like everyone who goes to their class reunion)

Well, I don't know what it's like to be married to someone who doesn't share my love for Disney. This will only be my DH's 3rd trip to the "world" so he still has lots of catching up to do. I can see how it would be too much (did I just say that?) disney for someone who didn't love it as much as all of us.

As for your reunion, I can't really help you out with what to wear. I mean, I love getting all dressed up, but I also love my tank tops and jeans. My 10 yr reunion is in 2 years, so I should probably start thinking about what to wear now! I would probably go with a dress or some kind, but you want to feel comfortable and be yourself too. Hmm....I'm stumped.

I'm going to have to go hit the mall and see what I can find. I will wear pants of some kind. I like to get dressed up but I don't have to do it much these days. I'm so out of touch with fashion LOL Perhaps I could get Soleil to help me out! She is a shopping goddess.

I need a personal shopper or perhaps a spotlight on What Not to Wear. That would be awesome!

So I officially cannot keep up with all of you Between classes and work and homework and studying I'm wiped! You'll just have to bear with me if I miss anything important.
