I just got off the phone with my 4 year old nephew. They got back from Disney on Saturday. He was telling me all about their trip, how he rode ToT and "it was wealy scawy" and that his hotel was "invented in early Hawaii". I can't wait to go over and lose myself in their pictures!

Alrighty everyone, I'm off to the dentist this morning for a root canal. The dentist's office is my least favorite place in the world. Seriously. I'll be thinking about all the food I can chew without pain on my trip as he's working on me!

Sending happy thoughts your way Trixie!! I wish you a quick recovery, good pain meds, and wonderful Disney and food thoughts...yummy!!

So . . . everyone put on your dancin' shoes because IT'S PARTY TIME. I won't wake Disco Dale because, well . . . he freaks me out.

Any way, today is our 3 Month Mark and my birthday!!

You'll be okay. I had my first root canal back in April and it went very well. I just don't like getting numbed up. It always drips down my throat, so they just gave me extra suction so it wouldn't! :) I had a specialist work on me, so I didn't feel a thing and now I'm great!

Hello everyone! I'm wondering who is renting a car and if you found any good deals for January? I've got a mid-sized reserved for about $200 for the week, but that seems really high to me.

We never rent a car at Disney. To me $200 is a lot - too much. Especially when WDW transportation is FREE!!! I know everyone complains about WDW transportation, but we haven't really ever had any bad experiences. Sure the buses might not come exactly when you want them to, but we've never had to wait more than 20-30 minutes tops. Most waits more like 5-15 minutes. We even had a 7:30am ADR at the Poly in May and the CM on the phone argued and argued with me when I made the ressie that we would never get there by 7:30 with WDW transportation. Well I knew better and we hoped on the 7:00am MK bus (and had it all to ourselves) and the driver offered to take us right to the Poly. We were there at 7:15am!! :goodvibes

Okay, I just wanted to share my experiences there. :rotfl: Anyway, check the transportation boards like Trixie said! I don't really know too much about it but I think that you can get a code for renting a car too.

And.... HELLO.... I'm in the 2 month range!

party: :rockband: party:

And look who else showed up.....

:dancer:

He heard I was having a bad day!

Yeah for the 2 month marker!!!!!

But AHHHHHHH for Disco Dale! Run away! Run away!!!!:lmao:

Hope you all are having a good day! I didn't know our time changed Saturday night so I lived yesterday in a time warp. I'll have to share the story! But for now I'm waving madly from Jerusalem! and doing a little banana dancing!

Even when we have had a rental car I have always used the WDW transportation and have never really had an issue. This is the first time that I'm actually considering using my car to get me to the parks at certain times, but mostly I'm going to be relying on transportation even with a rental car. I am a little nervous about driving around the parks and getting myself lost.

I'm so going to have to invest in a GPS before this trip. I think I saw somewhere and I can't remember where at the moment GPS directions around the parks. I will have to download that LOL!

Well it's that time of year here in lovely western PA when we pack up the summer clothes in tubs and store them in the basement for the winter and bring up the sweaters. :sad2: So, that's my project for today - my closet!

Only this time I get to leave out some of the summer clothes for my January trip to Florida!!! :cool1: Too bad I don't really know what to plan on bringing. :confused3 I was going to put a suitcase in my closet and throw some summer stuff in there for now, but then realized that the kids might get suspicious of the suitcase in my closet. . . Yes, they play in the closet sometimes. :rotfl: I have a walk-in and they can go in there and close the door and their Star Wars Lightsabers look very cool in there in the dark (I'm told)!

Yeah, that's how we are. We don't want to be driving around an unfamiliar place in all that traffic. I can just see us getting lost and having a huge argument about how he wouldn't listen to me!! :sad2: :rotfl:

trixiequilts: I hate the dentist too!!! Good Luck:wizard:

Happy Birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On my last trip we had breakfast at Chef Mickey's at 8am. Due to some confusion and my uncle refusing to ask what was going on, he got on a bus for MK and the driver offered to take him directly to the Contemporary. We got on the next bus and our driver offered to do the same. There were other people there but he said the Contrmporary is literally right on the way and takes an extra 30 seconds. We wanted to ride the Monorail though.

The longest we've ever had to wait for the bus is when the parks close and everyone is trying to leave. But that was when my sister and I usually went through our pictures and deleted that ones that were bad, so we could unload them right away and be ready for the next day!

XXXX

Good Morning, ( I can say "good" on a Monday because I don't have to work!).

Not much going on here in cold WI. I watched the Red Sox/ Angeles game last night so I'm a little tired today. I have some shopping to do at some point, which means I'll probably go out for lunch with my friend then head to the mall.

Have a great day!

I just got the free dining in December offer again! If I was actually going to be on the same continent as Disney during the time of the offer, I'd consider changing my reservation. Unfortunately, it's not going to work out! Where are the January offers????:rolleyes1

It came from Disney Destinations again...

Good Morning Snowbirds :goodvibes Hope everyone had a great weekend. My DD came home from college and we did lots of shopping :cool1: Got some good sales and just hung out :cool1:

13 Weeks from today I check into the Coronado Springs, and I can't wait :yay: :yay: :yay:

Shelly, I started my closet yesterday....here in the Poconos we have frost in the mornings already.

I love this time of year! We had a BEAUTIFUL day here yesterday. I actually washed the cars. They are calling for 2 days this week to be 70, which is nice early October in PA.

Starting to see lots of leaves changing colors!.

:bday: Joining the happy wishes for you, Mindy!

We always rented a car when we stayed at a value, and drove to all the parks except MK. This time, we've decided to stick with Disney transport at CSR, but I know where to rent a car if I get frustrated!

And why, oh why, can't I get a PIN!! :badpc:

Sure, like you’re "told";), just like my husband "doesn't" like to walk into the room with the kid's lightsaber humming Vader's theme. Dum, Dum, Dum, Da, Da, Dum, Da, Da, Dum!:lmao:

Good Morning Snowbirds!

nothing else new here, still no ADR's LOL
the only update i have is that i am putting all of our trip $$ into a 3month CD so it can be safe from ME over the holidays. :headache: :scared:

120 days left i think :headache:
it's getting cold here in Wisconsin too :guilty: not ready for winter yet.

Tina

Happy Birthday Mindy!!!:cool1: :cool1:

And good luck & prayers to BellaSoleil and Trixie today!

I'm taking it easy here today. I had the stomach flu that was going around this weekend and it was rough! I'm feeling better and also am in awe of my sweet husband who cleaned the house, mowed the lawn, did all of the laundry and made cupcakes with the kids while I was stuck in bed sick.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!
