A link to the official annoucement of Bay Lake Towers at the CR as a DVC resort.

We've been waiting and waiting for this annoucement, we are extermely interested in DVC at CR. We really want to buy DVC, and didn't like the location of AKV so decided not to buy, use the money for other things, but now....well this may change everything!
Have a good day snowbirds!

Has anyone ever done the Fairy Godmailer thing or do you know where I can get some WDW post cards to send to my kids before the big trip? I want them to get some mail from Mickey before we go :)

I have done the Fairy Godmailer! Well, I should say that I have received from a Fairy Godmailer! I never got in on one of those Fairy Godmailer threads because I never wanted to give out my children's names and our address to a stranger. But when we went in May 2007 I was in a May planning thread (we still chat today!), just like this one. We chatted and all got to know each other quite well. Then several of us went again in May 2008. Well one of the girls had to go in April 2008, so she offered to be my Fairy Godmailer! I felt comfortable doing this since we had chatted for over a year and I saw pictures or her and her family and some of the other people from the thread had actually met her in WDW. So she sent each of the kids a post card from their favorite character! They were thrilled. And yes, DS9 checked the post-mark to be sure I hadn't sent it from home! :rotfl:

So maybe you could get someone on this thread who is going a few weeks before you to do it! :goodvibes

Okay... I'm done now. Thanks for listening.:rotfl:

Morning Snowbirds,

Beautiful day here sunny & supposed to be 70. Had a wonderful walk w/ DD & the dogs last night. Talked Disney the whole 3 miles. We found a really cool place think it was called mousepinsonline.com I found it here on the Dis. Anyhow you can buy grab bags of pins to trade cost is about $1.75 each!! Morgan was thrilled she wasnt going to trade this year because she doesn't want to spend all her money on them.

We want last Aug. for the first time...long story short missed our show time! We had to go to the last one of the night (9:30pm)and that was running behind. We still had a hoot of a time and one of the best times of our trip.

Hi everyone!

I'm losing momentum! I can't get myself past the general details - I have the room, but that's it. I tried to set up the spreadsheet with the morning and evening EMHs, filled in show and parade times and that's it! I'm stuck. I'm afraid to plan any further - I've never planned to that level because I haven't been there for so long, I don't understand how to plan details in advance.

Help me out!!! Here's what we definitely want to do:

1. Chef Mickey's (not sure what meal)
2. Tusker House Breakfast (DD LOVES Donald)
3. Cape May Breakfast
4. Visit AKL - maybe Boma for dinner, then some animal viewing plus see the resort. Thinking of 1BR Villa for next trip.
5. DDs fave is Mulan, but have heard to NOT expect her at Akershus, so I don't think we'll do that. It is Chinese New Year when we're there, so maybe Mulan will be around more???
6. Water Electrical Parade
7. Maybe

All I can say is ACK :scared1:

QOTD. We'll be there around 3:00 pm. Have to go to the grocery store, but thinking of maybe monorail tour - Magic Kingdom and then over to Epcot Center. Don't know how kids will react to characters, so don't want to do a character meal that night. Maybe DTD. It's all too much pressure :scared:

I would like in on a share too. We did one last Aug. and it was great.
QOTD: We're arriving early afternoon and heading to MK. Let's hope it's not too crowded, since it will be MLK day. But our only chances for Spectromagic and Fantasmic! are Monday and Thursday, and Monday is evening EMH at DHS so I figured it would be more crowded. Does that make any sense? :confused3

Does anyone have an open Photopass share for January? I saw one by someone on this thread, but it looks like it's full. Thanks!

btw....i just got an email from jet blue that my return flight home on the 31st is an hour earlier...anyone else experiencing this problem???
Yes. My flight out is leaving 2 hours later, so that's 2 hours down the drain! My flight back, though is leaving 1/2 hour later, so we gain a couple of minutes that way.

Mary Poppins is usually out front greeting people as they come in, so you should be safe with just princesses inside;). Akershus is one of our favorites. We do every trip and if your very lucky you might just see Cinderella too (she makes a the occasional visit there as well as all the normal princesses).

Morning snowbirds! I've been off for a few days and I'm sure I missed a bunch! Closed up our pool this weekend and the boys are not thrilled about that. Oh well.

Just watching the ticker and counting down the days until the trip! I can't wait! Have a great day!

Looks like you’re taking the same flight down as us (ours leaves 1/21). We just received the notice that JetBlue changed the departure from 7:21am to 7:00am (arriving at 9:51am). That gets us there 20 minutes earlier:cool1:!

Thanks for the info! I won't mind if Cinderella isn't there. We are doing CRT for our last breakfast. Although it would be exciting to meet her twice. :cutie: I'm really hoping to see Ariel. I don't believe I have ever met her and she is DD's favorite.:goodvibes

Yeah... we leave 21 minutes earlier also.... so far our returning flight hasn't changed... I am guessing for a 7am flight we could probably arrive at 5:30 am... means leaving the house at 5 am... up at 4 am. OMG WHAT WAS I THINKING:lmao:

My ADR's are finally finalized, except for Prime Time Cafe which isn't accepting reservations for our date yet.

1/20/09: Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show, 8:00 pm,

1/21/09: Yak & Yeti, 4:45 pm

1/22/09: Sci-Fi Dine In, 4:35 pm (eating super early so we can get to Fantasmic)

1/23/09: Le Celier Steakhouse, 5:05 pm

1/24/09: Chef Mickey, 5:20 pm

1/25/09: Hoop-de-do-Review, 7:15 pm

Mmmm... This is making me hungry!
1/26/09: I will make a reservation for Prime Time Café.

Has anyone looked at the participating restaurants in the DDP lately???

Last time I printed them out there was only 1 in DTD, but someone said that more would be joining as it gets closer. So this weekend I printed out the list again and there are more restaurants. But what I found odd were the restaurants that were listed that now take 2TS credits: Jiko, Flying Fish Cafe, Cali Grill, Hoop-Dee-Doo, Mickey's Backyard BBQ, Citricos, Narcoossee's, Spirit of Aloha, Artist Point, Yachtsman Steakhouse, Hollywood Brown Derby, & Coral Reef. That can't be right, can it??? :confused3 That's a lot more than last year.

That sounds about right to me. I did read somewhere (maybe on this board) that Coral Reef was now 2 TS credits. So long as LeCellier is not, I'm okay!!!!
