So, now, DH says late last night- after I set everything up for "regular" dining "why don't we just do the deluxe dining anyway".

He's the one who veteoed it after we had to change to 5 n, 6d! So now I have to juggle it all again. Why, does he want to do this- all b/c of the Hoop Dee Doo. Yep, one dinner show, some unlimited beer and he has me changing it all again...

Well, I really want DDX- but I am not redoing again if he changes his mind. Humf. Actually I'm super excited since now we get all our character breakfasts- of course I have to wait till tonight to try and book. Wish me luck.

Well, Ike made it's way to western PA last night. Can you believe that? We had 55 mph winds and lost power for about 15 hours. Crazy. We even have street signs laying down. That was a lot of wind. The good thing was that we barely got any rain with it.

Hi everyone!

I'm losing momentum! I can't get myself past the general details - I have the room, but that's it. I tried to set up the spreadsheet with the morning and evening EMHs, filled in show and parade times and that's it! I'm stuck. I'm afraid to plan any further - I've never planned to that level because I haven't been there for so long, I don't understand how to plan details in advance.

Help me out!!! Here's what we definitely want to do:

1. Chef Mickey's (not sure what meal)
2. Tusker House Breakfast (DD LOVES Donald)
3. Cape May Breakfast
4. Visit AKL - maybe Boma for dinner, then some animal viewing plus see the resort. Thinking of 1BR Villa for next trip.
5. DDs fave is Mulan, but have heard to NOT expect her at Akershus, so I don't think we'll do that. It is Chinese New Year when we're there, so maybe Mulan will be around more???
6. Water Electrical Parade
7. Maybe Hoop-De-Doo

All I can say is ACK

QOTD. We'll be there around 3:00 pm. Have to go to the grocery store, but thinking of maybe monorail tour - Magic Kingdom and then over to Epcot Center. Don't know how kids will react to characters, so don't want to do a character meal that night. Maybe DTD. It's all too much pressure

QOTD after being in the car w/ DH DD DS & DMiL for oh about 23 hours straight the first I will want to do is escape!! I will most likely take the kids for a swim & let Chuck nap for a bit. Wander around the resort just plain move!!

We will be on west coast time so it will still feel early to us but we will have to try to get to bed at a reasonable hour so we can get on East coast time.

I feel like that a little, too. Since I haven't booked my package I feel stuck. BUT I will be booking it probably at the end of the month so hopefully I will pick up some speed after that.

We have been to Akershus the last two Januarys and Mulan was there both times.

Cute side note.... Our daughter was only three the first time she got to meet Mulan at Akershus and as she went to get down to have her picture taken, she slipped out of her chair. Mulan leaned over and caught our daughter as she fell and with out missing a beat she looked to us and said "If I can help save a country, I can certainly help save a little princess!"

QOTD:
Considering we will be getting in at midnight, we will (hopefully) be hitting the hay. As soon as we wake up we will be taking a cab to WL to check & eating at Whispering Canyon.

QOTD- We are getting in around noon so the first thing we will do is have lunch!! Either at the resort if we are starving or bus it to MK and get some CS, either Cosmic Ray's or Pinocchio Village Haus. We are going to spend a couple hours hittting the faves and then go to 1900 Park Fare for an early dinner and then back to POFQ to crash!! We have to get up around 3 am so everyone will be tired except me seeing as that is my everyday wake up time.

I kinda feel the lull in excitement too. We are booked up, ADR's are made, plane tix are bought, trip is paid off. What to do now??? We just bought the girls the cutest luggage sets from Target (where else?) and I am going to start buying our toiletries. Oh well, I am sure time will fly! I am off to pick up kids soon, better enjoy my last 20 minutes of peace and quiet!

QOTD: We're arriving early afternoon and heading to MK. Let's hope it's not too crowded, since it will be MLK day. But our only chances for Spectromagic and Fantasmic! are Monday and Thursday, and Monday is evening EMH at DHS so I figured it would be more crowded. Does that make any sense?

I may have an opening in mine. . . Not sure at this point. It got so big that we had to split it into 2 groups. Group #1 is all taken care of. Group #2 (for those going in the 2nd half of January) is having some "issues" right now and I'm not sure how that is going to pan out. I will keep you posted if something comes open, I should know by the end of the month.

How about a question of the day? What will be the first thing you do once you are "settled in" to your resort?

Well, like others, we're getting in around midnight. So, Saturday, once we're settled in we'll...

1. Greet my parents.
2. Greet the in-laws, if they deign to come.
3. Get to Wide World of Sports for pre-race registration.

Does anyone know if there's an "easy" way to get to WWoS from POR? Or is it one of those "get to DTD and then fan out from there" type dealies?

DH doesn't want to go to any parks that day so I don't know what else we're going to do. Go shopping, perhaps?!

We should arrive to CBR by 1:00 or so. We will probably unpack a bit and walk around the resort grounds, maybe get a snack or something to hold us over until dinner. Then we will head to dinner at 1900 Park Fare and then to MK for Wishes!
