Hi, all! I am just finding this thread but I too will be going in January of '09! The 10th through the 18th (and I'm still so bummed that I'm JUST going to miss Trixiequilts!)

I'm only just going to miss Trixiequilts as well... Let's start a petition that says she should come to WDW a few days earlier!!

Nope, you can't have her! :rotfl: She's coming the same time as me!! :goodvibes

They like me, they really like me!!! Seriously, I'm feelin' the DISlove this morning. :grouphug: Which is great timing as I've been up all night with a pukey sick DD6. Now DH just said he isn't doing well :sad2: , it's gonna be a long day...

(Thanks Shelly for the help with the multi-quote, it helps when you know how to do it right!)

Sorry DD6 is sick. That stinks. Looks like it is getting passed around the family.

I hope you don't get it! :wizard: Try to get some rest today.

I am at 115 days! At 96 days I have a count down chain that someone over at the designs boards made. That will be fun to do with the kids! Figure one of their no school days we will put it together!

I am very happy to be joining this group! I just booked my first return trip to WDW since 1993! I'll be there for the marathon. My dates are Jan 9th - 15th and I'm staying at Pop Century. I wish I wasn't going alone but my husband and two sons can't make it. I'm sure I'll still manage to have some fun! :yay:

Let the countdown begin!

Good Afternoon Snowbirds! :) Hope everyone is having a fabulous day! We are having some very nice Fall - ish type weather up here in Northern Ontario! Sweater weather - my favourite! ;) I thought of a really great question of the Day .........

Name one thing that you will do on your upcoming trip that you have not done on any other previous trip. :cool1:

My answer - Eat a meal in the Castle! :cool1: We are having breakfast at CRT!

We are going to eat at Captain's Grille and the Wave (both new for us). I also am looking forward to Toy Story.

Happy Saturday, friends! We had a sweet, little family date last night. Took Belle to Build-A-Bear and she was so excited! Hope everyone has a great weekend. :wizard:

Having some cool and damp fall weather here today too. I'm not quite ready for this. Especially considering that it was 90 degrees 2 days ago! And the kids soccer games start tomorrow.

QOTD - I'm going to have to say - meeting Cinderella for the first time!! Going to 1900 Park Fare. With all boys I have yet to meet a princess! princess: I'm also looking forward to Toy Story Mania!

DH is standing here and he just said that his answer is - wear a coat in Florida!! :lmao: :rotfl:

good morning everyone...oops its afternoon. I just woke up not that long ago. I worked the overnight shift 7p-7a and I am a little groggy.I am a nurse at The Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia. It is pouring here....my 2 year old is napping and my husband took our 4 year old out to do some errands for tailgating tomorrow for the Eagles home opener.

I was excited I changed one of my dining reservations for my trip next month (28 days from now:banana: ) I wasn't really thrilled with the kona cafe menu for lunch so I called to check to see what else was available and amazingly enough they had Le Cellier for lunch. Yummy....I am so excited.

Well I hope all of us stay dry and safe this weekend.

As for the question of the day....We are taking the autotrain which we have never done. We are also going to stay for 2 nights at the end of our trip at Bonnet Creek which I have heard is very nice, and hubby and I are going to get a babysitter (kids night out) to have a date night at Jiko which we have never eaten at before.

Ohhh good QOTD....

Firsts for this trip - stay at Beach Club Villas, swim at Storm Along Bay, eat at 4 new dining experiences (Nine Dragons, Yachtsman, Flying Fish, O'hana for dinner), take a chance on Mike Scopa's Challenge of 4 parks in one day (See his blog on Allears), surprise my DH with something cool for himself only.

Hi -- Welcome to the snowbirds!

I've really enjoyed lurking on your pre-trippie! Your planning energy [even with four kids] is amazing....

Hey ya'll!! Hope everyone is having a happy Saturday!. Well, that QOTD has me stumped!! I don't know!! Oh--I know!! Find the wishing well at the castle. I always see the fountain thing (the one someone posted once with a picture of a family soaking their feet in), but I never manage to see that well!!! I am determined to find it! Also---toy story mania. Can't wait to try it-just really don't want to have to be there at the crack of dawn to do it. Maybe the newness will wear off by the time we are all there!!!Ya'll go over to the family board and read my Christmas shopping thread--I am about to update it!!!:santa:

QOTD - I'm doing 3 things we've never done before (among things that have been available - I'm not counting "new attractions"):
1) D & I are eating at Victoria & Albert's, and are so looking forward to it!
2) We're staying at a moderate - it's always been value before
3) We're not renting a car - going to rely on Disney transportation.

Less than 4 months to go for me! :yay: :woohoo:

going to see wishes with the family! Last time we did not see any shows as we wanted to swim in the evenings. This year I plan to see Wishes and Illuminations. AND Osborne Lights!

Our goal of this trip is to see the attractions in the parks that we still haven't done. In our previous trips we have never been to any resort other than ours. We are really excited to have dining reservations at The Grand Floridian and The Contemporary.:yay:

Great question! We have lots of firsts this trip.
I've never seen Mickey's Philharmagic so that is a must this trip
Ohana
Dole Whips
Magical Express

There are lots more, I'm sure, but I don't want to bore you
