Goodmorning! DD ran fever from teething, so we are taking it easy today. I also want to hear more about the Bagallini's. Are they really that wonderful?

Allright after careful consideration and number crunching for us the CS DDP plan plus 3 TS OOP is about as much as being on the Basic DDP with those 3 TS meals included (and bonus of trying more TS meals).....so DH and I are leaning toward the Basic DDP.....which means of course I had to make more ADR's today......

Hello snowbirds!! I just got done working and now I think I am going to clean up the house. We are BBQing steaks tonight....yum. It is a cool 66 degrees here in detroit. I love having my windows open in august!! I also am curious about the bagallini. Last time I had one in diapers so I took a backpack. Really want to avoid that hassle. Can't decide what to take with me to the parks this time!! Change of clothes for a 4 year old? She is queen of the spills! Oh well, I have five months exactly to decide!!! WOOHOO Have a great day everyone!

Hi Snowbirds...We have a January trip planned to. We are coming via autotrain and will be in the world from January 4-10. I am hoping all of the holiday travellers will be gone by then.

We are staying in AKV 1BR value. We are only making a few ADR's for this trip.
So far we have JIKO (date night for hubby and me), Boma, Crystal Palace for before the park opens. I think we are going to wing it for the rest. I like the sounds of that dinosaur restaurant though.

We are really excited about this trip. We also only have 54 days til our October anniversary trip without the kids

I took it to the State Fair one evening last week. It was pretty darn comfy! I think you're "supposed to" wear it on your back, but I ended up wearing it kind of over my hip ~ It was more comfy that way to me. Somewhere on the DIS I've seen a pic of someone wearing it in front too... so pick your position, I guess.

Count us in! Finally talked DH into it.
We are going to be snowbirds from Virginia from Jan 24 to Jan 31. Our children have a four day weekend in there so will only miss 3 days of school. When I stumbled on this thread it made me feel a whole lot better about going at that time. We have gone last week of Aug 2006 (AKL) and last week of Sept 2007 (POFQ). But then as I read on I realized how far behind I am. We are still trying to decide on a resort (I want WL, DH wants POFQ) and no ADRs. Yikes! Maybe some good codes will come out soon that will make the "last minute" decision to go worthwhile. Maybe there will be a and party during that time?????
Still have some catching up to do with fellow snowbird plans and tips (95 pages is hard to read all in one sitting)

Hello! It just occurred to me that I should be attending a conference in Tampa in January that ends on a Thursday evening. I am giving serious consideration to not coming home until Monday of the following week and taking Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for a mini-trip to WDW. I was just doing some quick noodling in my head last night and I could drive to WDW first thing Friday morning, stay at a value resort Friday - Sunday nights, and then turn around and drive back to Tampa Monday to fly home. Hmmm...

Things in the SplashMtnCrew house just keep getting better!
DH told me this morning that he wants our WL club level ressie changed to the YC club level DH has always wanted to stay here b/c he loves Epcot and DS wants to stay at YC for SAB. Now I have to call our AAA ta in the morning and have her change it to YC. I'm glad I didn't pay the deposit on the WL ressie last week, hopefully that will make it easier for her. I'll have her change it and pay the deposit tomorrow.

Of course with the change of the resort, I'm going to have to change some adr's I have to change CM breakfast to Cape May and I have to change WCC to Yacht Club Galley. I suppose I will have to call the YC IPO after I have my new ressie# and find out how to handle this. Have any of you wonderful snowbirds ever changed a club level ressie to a different resort? We are super excited about the YC DS still doesn't know it will be club level

Hi, sleepy Snowbirds! It's morning here! I'm wondering if the baggalini is something that can go on the rides with you? I don't want to have to leave it in the stroller. Not that I'll be carrying valuables around with me, but I will have a camera. So, can this thing sling around and stay on rides with me, or would I have to take it off and leave it somewhere?

Also...don't know if anyone is looking, but I'm in a stroller swap and there is a week open in January. I think it's available from the 2-8. It's a double stand and sit stroller. You can check it out here.

I haven't any experience with the Baggallini, yet , but I typically take a double strap back pack along with me on everything. I would think that you could do the same with the Baggallini. It looks to be the same size as a traditional back pack.

Good Morning Snowbirds!

I'm a little leary of calling the ta this morning. Last yr we changed our resort b/c DH had an accident at work and had to have 2 surgeries, we ended up changing it back to our original resort at the 48 day point! When I spoke to the ta last week she made a comment about being sure we weren't going to change our resort and being sure about what we wanted. Now I've got to call and tell her that DH wants it changed to YC Our ta is super nice and we do like her, I just don't want to be a pain and make her have to do extra work. DH says, to bad for the ta that's what she gets paid to do He said he expects a new ressie# for YC when he gets home w/deposit paid and all the room requests switched and all the adr's that need changing to be done. I told him he doesn't know how much he's asking for in one day . So wish me luck, have a great day snowbirds!

Hmmmmm! On one hand, I think your DH is right - it is your travel agent's job to do what you ask them to! I'm sure they've had much harder cases than yours! People would chop and change their plans all the time. I wouldn't worry too much!

But on the other hand, if you're worried about it and your DH is not, maybe you should tell him to make the phone call! Tell him that you expect him to sort it all out by the end of the day.

Good morning Snowbirds!

How was everyone's weekend? Nothing too exciting here. We went to dinner Saturday night at my favorite restaurant - Max & Erma's. Does anyone else have one near them? They just have the best steak salad in the world! Yesterday we took the kids to a nearby small animal park/petting zoo type place. The weather was so weird for August. It only got up to about 70 degrees and was mostly cloudy and breezy. I told DH that this is possibly the type of weather we will get in January in Florida! He said - GOOD! It was SO HOT down there this May. So anyway, I was freezing in the shade. Stupid me I didn't check the forecast before we left and was in shorts and a short sleeve shirt! But I think that would be perfect weather for Disney, if I am dressed correctly!!
