Hi! I'm here, too! So glad it's Friday! Changed our stay to 1 night POP and 5 nights WL. Our flight gets in at 11 pm and I don't want to pay and extra $150 +DP to stay at a delux when we won't even have the chance to enjoy it that day. I'm also making an ADR today for WCC. Can't wait to eat there!

Okay fellow Disser's, I need your help-

Here are my two options for the morning after our short stay at POP:

1. Take a bus (while our carry-on) to TTC and then WL.

2. Take a cab straight to WL with our own luggage. (Does anyone know cab prices at Disney?)

Which of these sounds like a better plan? Also, can POP just hold our luggage for us until that morning and then either send it to WL or have us pick it up for the cab ride?

I'm so sorry if I've made a faux pas by posting this question on here. I'm a newbie! Please forgive me. :confused3

You can ask anything here! :goodvibes That's what we're here for!

Unfortunately I can't really answer your question. . . I too am wondering if CBR will hold our luggage until morning since we have such a late arrival and will want to go straight to bed. . .

I do think that WDW will transfer your luggage from POP to WL for you. Just not sure how long that will take.

What am I doing today? Trying to gear myself up for yardwork...

Because, oddly enough, the temps are in the high 80s with little to no humidity - for Memphis in August that's nothing short of miraculous or maybe apocalyptic .. I'll opt for the miraculous - 'cause I'd hate for the end of the world to come before I've gone to Disney!

I did try on some Keens -- heard through the boards that those are THE shoes to wear in the parks, waterproof, comfy, cool enough for warm days but warm enough for cool days, but the bottom line is I just love to have an excuse to buy shoes! They are really comfortable, I was pleasantly surprised -- they are expensive, though, so I am still thinking....

My main strategy about Disney planning right now is to L.E.T. I.T. G.O. Of course, I know EVERYTHING about my Disney expectations -- I want to get to the parks early for EMH, eat one TS meal each day [I changed my mind on the DP - I'm seriously leaning towards the middle plan], ride everything/see everything, etc... :yay:

But, since I am not traveling by myself and I do love my friends and, on a good day, want them to do whatever they want, even if it conflicts with what obviously is my superior plan  , I know I just need to back away from THE plan and let it go.

What does this mean? Probably nothing! I'm still way too addicted to these boards and am all sorts of crazy about my fellow-posters. I just want to be careful about getting too attached to an idea then be disappointed that no one else is as enthusiastic. Because, whatever we do, we'll still be at Disney during the very best time of year -- :dance3:

If it were me I would take the cab, I would just feel better knowing where my luggage was and that it wouldnt get "misplaced". I dont know how much a cab ride would be but I will try and do some searching for you.

It is a strange day here weather wise as well. It's about 70 and it has rained on and off all day. Probably 6 times now. And when it stops raining the sun comes out and it gets really nice out. Then rains again. Very weird. Usually when it rains in PA it's an all day rain and the sun doesn't come out. :confused3

Keens. . . Never heard of them. . . Are they like Crocs?

The rooms have 2 double beds. I'm not sure what the pirate beds are going to be, but probably double too. Have you seen the pics of them yet? They look awesome!

Try this thread for pictures of the new pool and lots of great CBR info:

Thank you for the info, and the link to the CBR thread. I checked it out and I am really excited to stay there, it looks so peacful! I cant wait to see the pics of the pool when it is completed. I think I will enjoy that the resort is big because it will give us a good opportunity to walk around and settle down for the night.

Woohooo!!! I just noticed on my ticker that I only have 4 weeks until I leave for our Sept trip. :cool1:

I forget, are you staying there in Sept or Jan?

Actually neither, we are staying there Nov 2009. Sept and Jan we will be at the WL. I would have added another ticker but I think there are "rules" to how many things you can have in your signature, and I didnt want to push it.

I have asked this question and yes, they will hold your luggage until the next morning. You just tell them when you would like it delivered.

I checked on cab prices and it should be about $15 + tip. I don't think that's bad. The idea of waiting for a bus to the TTC and then waiting for a bus to WL (while carrying my heavy carry-on) doesn't sound super appealing.

Happy Friday, Snowbirds!

Finally sitting down to relax a bit. I work only on Thursday and Friday, so it's always later when I get to check in.

Looking forward to some FANTASTIC weather this weekend. Low 80's! I'm not keen on the super hot.

I'm going to be taking my son to HersheyPark on Monday. Weather looks great for that, too. It's no Disney, but it will have to hold me over for another 5 months or so.

We are staying at PORS. It finally feels like it's real now that we have booked it. We have thought about it so many times but have always backed out becasue of cost. Reading these posts are getting us even more anxious with all of the people who have been there before telling their stories.

Keens aren't plastic like Crocs - here's a link to them, they're on sale on this site --

Land's End sells another waterproof shoe that is similar - and a little cheaper -

Hang out with us, of course - we have all sorts of fun here, it's like Disneyworld already....

Glad to hear another vote for January - the more I read, the happier I am that we're going then.
