Please add me to the list for the January snowbirds. Is that still what we're being called? I read a few pages, then skipped to the last page. I wanted to get mine added now and will read all the pages in between later.

Four adult princesses arriving at VWL on January 25, 2009. Checking out of the resort on February 1st and going on a 4 night Disney Cruise.

We're all soooo excited. It's the first cruise for all of us, and first time to Disney World for one of us.

Slowly but surely, we are trying to figure out what to eat 5 months from now - LOL!! Two down - 3 more to go!

Holy Cow! Are there going to be any rooms left after we Snowbirds invade Disney in January? That is one LONG list!

Star2500 & Momof2Disneyboys~Where in PA are you from?

I'm searching for ideas to make the time pass faster! Perhaps I should pick up more hours at work! LOL If I mention Disney one more time, my DH is going to leave me.

Hi Mindy....about 20 minutes north of Philadelphia.....how about you?:)

Please tell me that I have everybody updated!! :goodvibes

If not, feel free to yell at me! :lmao:

We won't yell...;) although we can update our resort. We’ll be at All-Star Movies again. You can tell the kids run the show in our house. Good thing we all love Woody and Buzz! Thanks.

OK, Shelly - got our ADRs:
1/4: SciFi - need to catch the Osborne Lights!
1/5: Jiko
1/6: Le Cellier
1/7: Victoria & Albert
1/8: Boma
1/9: California Grill (for the fireworks!)
1/10: Liberty Tree Tavern (yes, I know there are no characters!)

A number of these are "just in case" ADRs; don't know how many we're going to keep. And I still haven't decided if a dining plan is in our future!

I know, that list is HUGE :scared1: !

That makes 4 Snowbirds from PA! Is anyone else worried about leaving PA in a blizzard??? :rotfl:

I am just north of Pittsburgh, and Katiebugsmom is near Pittsburgh too.

I am worried about facing snow as we leaving! Nothing worse that driving through a NorEaster!

I'm actually from South Central PA. Just outside of Harrisburg.

My DH's family is from the Pittsburgh area. They are in a small town just outside of Butler.

We are also in a small town outside of Butler!

Are you near Hershey? We travel there at least once a year. It takes about 4 hours to get there. This June DH had job training in State College, so we stayed at State College and drove to Hershey for the day! We usually stay at the Hershey Lodge.

Hi there snowbirds! Been a while since i posted. Life is always so hectic. I usually read the posts from the day before when I get up for work at 3:30 am! By the time I catch up to you guys I have to go to work. We did convert our RO to a package, POFQ with deluxe dp. Holy ADRs!! I will have to post the list. I know I have a couple of matches with fellow snowbirds. After reading about all you Pennsylvanians, I am curious. Anyone else from Michigan?? Also, I have tons of pictures from our last trip. I will try and post my two favorites right now and maybe more later.

Hi Kim,

What county or town? I remember hearing that this area has the most visitors to WDW. That's why Mickey and the gang are in the Philadelphia Thanksgiving parade.

Woo Hoo. One more candidate for the All Star Dis Meet! :dance3:

In '94, we had a really big storm that started around 8:00 the night before we were scheduled to drive down. We were driving with friends, and they were so worried about leaving that they wanted to leave that night! Problem was that I hadn't even started packing! We had to shovel a path to the van in about 18 inches of snow. We left before the street was plowed. We drove down and by the time we got below Delaware, the snow was barely there. It was kind of fun!

Well, I don't think I'll have to worry about a snow storm getting in the way, but I did book my January trip today - the 12th through the 23rd at BCV.:cool1: So now I won't come back from my trip in September so depressed. It's nice to have another one in the pipeline!

This is the info on the one at CBR -

"Island of the Caribbean Pirate Adventure - For children ages 4-10 (must be potty trained) -- young adventurers, wearing pirate bandannas, will board a boat to sail the Ports of the Caribbean, just like Captain Jack! They will be told the story of Old Port Royale and of the pirates that used to sail the waters. They will find props and signs leading to treasure. Once they recover the treasure, they will sail to Fort Cay and trade for some grub (lunch). When they return to Old Port Royale, they will unlock the treasure chest and bounty will be shared by all. As of 1/14/07, operates Sundays, as well as Tuesdays from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. $28.17 per child pus tax. Lunch: Peanut Butter and Jelly Uncrustables, Gummy Bears, Gold Fish Treats, and Apple Juice Box. Call 407-WDW-DINE for information on the resort marina at 407-934-2850."

When I called a few weeks ago I was told that it is available on Sun, Tues, and Fri. I was also told ages 4-12. And the price is $31.95 now.

I think there might also be one available at the GF. Not sure.

Yes there is one that goes out from the Grand Floridian a Pirate Adventure Cruise and the Albatross Treasure cruise launches from the Yacht Club. I was thinking about signing Katiebug up for the Yacht Club one since we will staying at Beach Club.

What's a little snow.....:lmao: I had the blizzard of Jan 3, 1994 coming up my tailpipe as my family and I drove back to Morgantown, WV from New Orleans, LA after the thrashing WVU received from the Gators in the Sugar Bowl.

Since I am seriously considering driving to FL this time (unless really good airfare pops up), the first time I hear the Pittsburgh weather men say the S word near my departure time, I will be packed, loaded, and out the door..........
