I just called and asked about a pin code. Found out I have one on my name, but the deal ends December 15. Well, we don't land in the US until December 15 after 4 1/2 years away...I don't think anyone would be happy if we jetted off to Disney! Humph! I was hoping for something that could help me with the cost of the vacation we have planned for January.

My CM told me that pin codes come out frequently and that I should call back again soon. I think I will keep calling! Why not, right?

So, if I receive a pin code for a discount on our stay, I can't take the free park hopper option if it's offered? Makes sense...just curious!

I know, I know, I think the food there is okay but its a surprise trip for my husband and he loves the breakfast at WCC so I figured I would give him what I know he likesand it helps keep our days a little more flexible. Now if only I could get someone to plan a trip for me things would be much different!

Have you heard about all the new room decorations? I think Martinique will be Nemo themed. Actually I think they will all be Nemo themed, except for Trinidad South will be pirate themed. The pictures look awesome, but I just found out that they are charging like $28 extra per night for the pirate rooms. And Trinidad South is the section that is really far away from everything. So I guess we will stick with requesting Jamaica, we loved that location last time!

Yeah, I think they put the pirate rooms in Trinidad South because that was the location that nobody wanted. Now they will have people fighting over them and paying extra! Pretty smart on their part!

Well, I cancelled our room-only and called up our AAA agent and booked a package through her.
Still a little over the price, but..
It's 11 days at a preferred value, 2 adults, 2 children, 10 day base tix, regular dining plan:
$3086.00
Ouch. I know that doesn't sound like a lot to some of you, but I'm in nursing school right now, so.. not a lot of extra money around here!
I might drop a few nights, if I can talk DH into that. That would bring the total down a bit.

So I was just looking over the 2009 DDP list of restaurants and it only lists 2 places on the DDP in DTD. What's up with that??? This year nearly all of them participated. I wonder if that is accurate. . . . .

I was looking because now we have one more TS to pick out (if we decide on getting the DDP) since we added that extra night onto the beginning of our trip. Any suggestions??? I am debating if we should go back to CP or CM since they are always great, or try something new. . .

Why not try something new? Maybe you'll find a place you like as much at Crystal Palace or Chef Mickey's!

Well...It's final. We are booked for 1/21 - 1/28 at the Poly. Our AAA TA called us today and we are saving $419.44 on our package.

There are several restaurants not owned by Disney. This happened when the new rates came out for 2008. They wait to include additional restaurants once they finalize negotiations with those restaurants. I think I saw on another thread that the list was finalized in November 2007 for 2008.

From what I've been led to believe, restaurants not owned by Disney itself have to sign contracts to accept the Dining Plans. They usually do before the end of the year, but I suppose there are no guarantees!

Shelley, I've added 1/3/09 at POP to our trip; couldn't get CSR for that date unless I switched to Water View, and I wasn't willing to pay the extra bucks! Could you update me? Thanks!
