I know I'll never spell it right its their quintecaras? it basically is their version on sweet sixteem/ bar mitzvah type thing. They do a big celebration for turning 15. The kids are off school that month & the travel agencies book these big "tour" packages for that time. They come to Disney go to the parks & other attractions in Orlando. Trust me you will know them when you see them. They tend to dress in the same color t shirts & the group leader carries a flag & they have to stay around the leader at all times.
BTW, from what I understand Brazilian Tour groups are groups of teenagers from Brazil celebrating their 15th bdays in WDW. In USA we do a 'sweet 16' and spanish cultures do the same sort of thing at 15yrs old, there is a spanish word for it, but I can't spell, I can say it though, I learned it b/c I went to some while growing up in AZ. Those groups usually stay (from what I've read) at value resorts, and can be somewhat obnoxious. We saw some while we were there this past Jan, but we didn't seem them being too bad, just acting like teens having a good time, and did seem to not have much supervision from chaperones
I've read horror stories on the DIS though.
...learning a whole lot from this wise group of people, such as boy am I happy that I am missing Super Bowl weekend at the world and I guess I'll need to bone up on my Portuguese so I'll know what all those Brazilian teenagers are saying!
Since we're going Jan 23-28, I know I can only make a few of my ADRs. We're arriving on a Friday afternoon, which has EMH for Epcot that evening. I thought that we could just hang out at Epcot that day, saving us from parkhopping, then get an ADR for Le Cellier [of course reading the stellar reviews on DIS means that I HAVE to try it!]. Afterwards, I'd love to see Illuminations.
My question is -- will Epcot be unusually crowded because of the EMH? Would it be better to get an ADR for another restaurant outside of Epcot?
